    I hope ulletical remakes his recoil trainer map for cs2, there aren't much resources to precisely improve spraying atm except practicing with follow recoil.

    • @matchboxr
      @matchboxr  Рік тому +15

      I actually think the follow recoil crosshair is a better way to learn to spray than the recoil trainer-
      The recoil trainer really only helped with learning to spray 30 rounds at a still target, which isn’t a situation you actually run into in real matches. Follow recoil gives you feedback while you practice more difficult motions like tracking and transferring!
      It wasn’t a *bad* way to practice per se, but I don’t think it was the best way either :)

      @@matchboxrtrue, follow recoil does have more flexibility when it comes to moving targets

      @@matchboxr would learning with follow recoil mess you up when you switch it off since the bullets would be going in different places compared to your crosshair or would it not really matter because of the muscle memory

      Go to practice, turn infinite warmup, infinite bullets, and show grenade lines on, as well as turn bots off if you want with the sliders on the left. Open the console when you get in and type "sv_cheats 1" followed by "sv_showimpacts 1" and it will show you where every bullet hits so the entire map pool is a recoil trainer. (never type the sv_cheats commands on a valve matchmaking server, only in a practice match on your PC. )

    Amazing tips, man. What I struggle with the most is I never seem to drag the mouse low enough even though my sensitivity is relatively high. I think it is because I put my forarms on the table, thereby putting my bodyweight on my forearms, and if I try to move the mouse any further down, I lose my bodybalance. I'll try to change my posture.

    In special as a new player the is no reason not to use follow recoil you should use this. The only reason not to use is that you have habbits from cs go which makes it confusing but efen then i would say it is worth to switch it improves the aim drasticly without you need to do anything.

    Your videos are really very helpful.
    Could you please look into the scenarios when the player is facing bullets ? I have seen in the games that the players strafe and right. I cannot shoot them but they are very accurate in killing me. Also, while facing the opposite team, there is a sudden urge to get away. This feeling overpowers everything I promise to myself to remember. Also I realise that I am under fire and my movement is slow, and die.

    Could you please make a video about mouse sensitivity?
    I am playing on 800 DPI and 2,1 ingame, I coped with it as I played pretty much all day, but I did a large break and now I wanna focus more on CS2.
    However my aim doesn´t really feel smooth at all as well as my movement. Warmup on refrag is first of pretty easy, but then in competetive I can´t hit my shots.
    There could be several problems.
    - No 60% keyboard
    - too heavy weight of my mouse
    - holding the mouse incorrect
    - mix up of aiming/flicking with my arm and sometimes with my wrist
    - my arm, hand or pullover is strafing on my mousepad
    - sometimes my hand is little shaking (as example if you have to clutch up)
    - too high mouse sensitivity or ingame sense
    - no arm sleeves
    - widescreen monitor; 3840X1600 (38 inch)

    • @matchboxr
      @matchboxr  Рік тому +1

      I definitely plan to cover optimal settings at some point- sensitivity, viewmodel, graphics, res, etc. Your sensitivity seems fine, if not a little high. I play 1.6 ingame @ 800 DPI, which is already fairly high among CS players.
      If you’ve got a big enough mousepad, I’d consider dropping it a little- it’ll help with micro-adjustments

    when I see vids about spray, they always say that the "full spray pattern is not really that useful, you'll only need 10 bullets pattern".. I disagree with this.. how the game works is, for rifles you'll only need 4-6 bullets to kill, 1-3 for headshots.. but in REALITY, depending on the distance, you may need to use at least 12-15 (or more if the target is moving + latency of the server) bullets for 1 frag.. also you have to take into account the dink issues for CT rifles, where 3-4 bullets would whiff after the dink... it's better to learn the full spray pattern. the PROS have practiced it, they perfected it.. and I'm sure the OP has practiced it, and perfected it too.. so no reason as to why you shouldn't do it..
