I can't get my brain round the mindless vandalism of guitars. I try hard to keep mine looking and sounding good. They're works of art, so satisfying to see them returned to their former glory.
It's amazing how such a simple thing like nail polish can really make a mess of something. Thanks for the great work you do to restore these instruments.

Your care for the instruments you work on, in whatever shape they are, is evident, and you are respectful and careful with each project. You refinish when possible and repaint when necessary and do a good job in both.
That's one of your more epic restorations. That Firebird turned out gorgeous and was well worth restoring.

it went from "poor logo" to "oh yeah, restoring the logos!" excellent job as always.
A trick I've seen used for the plug holes is to use foam ear plugs. Great restoration keep up the good work.
Or just cotton wool with a bit of petroleum jelly
It's also pretty easy to roll up a small piece of paper into a cone and stick into the whole. The more tricks the better! Some fits here and some fits there ... :D
Is it possible this guy is doing the "before" modifications himself and then removing them for the videos? So many of these share a similar aesthetic I have to wonder. He does a nice job restoring these (although I've actually preferred some of the "befores") but what are the odds of one guy finding so many similarly decorated/defaced guitars?
Idk. He says he gets them from Japanese online auctions, but it is entirely possible that he "before"s them

Esa Epiphone me gusta más que mi Gibson Firebird porque tiene ese cuerpo de 3 piezas que mi modelo económico no tiene. Veo que no es tu trabajo más difícil. Bajo la pintura y los arañazos está todavía una guitarra casi nueva. De todas formas es un trabajo de limpieza muy prolijo y el resultado final es impresionante. También el sonido que le sacas... There is paint on the strings, there is paint on the frets, author poured paint on an old guitar before shooting this video and then cleaned it))) no one played this guitar after it was painted... ))) anything for the views ))

I find this channel - and others like it - and the work done mildly interesting to watch for some "instant gratification" ... back can we please just all know and acknowledge and admit and agree that all these and other videos like it are all **FAKE**. There are literally a mountain of giveaways in each video. They are pre-staged and not in any way genuine. they are pretending .... these are not real old "worn" guitars but rather guitars that have been cleverly "pre-messed up" only to be then "re-cleaned" and presented as a "restoration". Its just entertaining but there is absolutely zero - nil - nada actual "restoration" going on here. Alex

like every guitar comes with scratches and paint on with 2 or 3 rusted strings...
Job is well done but definitely have the feeling it was made "trash" just for the video. Guitar doesn't look like it has been played at all since that red paint was on. Other scratches really don't look like playware type of scratches too. "Restoration" is nice to watch though. But yeah, if you are a guitar player, this looks like a fake "trashed" guitar.
Yeah, the white paint is still too white, there is still red paint on top of the frets, and the guitar is not gummy like it should be
Honestly, I think that maybe the dude behind this channel looks for old guitars online to restore. If that were the case, a lot would make sense
I have questioned these videos before on here about being authentic. It seems like he grabs a guitar, and every one of them is "uniquely painted." The paint is fresher looking on top and easy to clean up. Maybe the stickers and scratches are real, but overall, these videos are at least partially faked.
I know right? I was about to ask if it was common in Japan for people to give guitars random stupid paint jobs! 😂

Хорошая чистка, но сразу пропал индивидуализм. До этого была брутальная история с кровоподтёками, а стала "простой" гитарой...
Была всратая, как будто чувак постоянно резал пальцы об выпершие торцы ладов и об струны, а стала красивая.
