Was this close to getting the iPhone 12 pro due to how good the blue matt finish was, and so are the camera but held back due to lacking refresh rate and display. Thank goodness I waited it out till they announced the S21 series. Now watching this video on my S21 ultra🤩

I love samsung but I gotta say iphone is better when it comes to performance for example, on the iphone 11 genshin impact runs consistent 60fps on my S20+ 60fps doesn't even stay it goes to 40-50 then 30fps how the fuck does it have a 120fps option but still runs like balls on those settings like seriously?

Yeah, I do like how it feels in the hand but I've been using the 11 Pro Max and 12 Pro Max so kinda used to massive phones. As this is slightly narrower for me it feels safer in the hand as well but definitely try it out as everyone is different! 🤞 it wont be long until the stores re-open!
Great comparison video man. But I'm surprised you didn't mention the significant portion of screen area ate by the big ol notch on iPhone compared to super tiny punch hole on Ultra. It's one of the thing I hate the most on new gen iPhone, still got same same notch design for 3+ years by now ! Hopefully they did something to that notch in this year's iPhone because I really hate it. Anyway good job for comparing these 2 phones in detail, cheers man :D

The best solution I’ve seen recently was the LG pop up camera, much better and it means they could put a better selfie camera on it. @@AlexGTech Thanks! & while you r at it , try to compare some dark HDR scenes from Netflix or Disney Hotstar (which have HDR supported content) between those phones to get a proper graph about their display quality in day to day use .. Not many UA-camrs are comparing display tech but only bragging chip performance on synthetic benchmarks which have no real world use.. Would really appreciate if you could get this compare ! Of course it is subjective, but between 01:56 and 02:18 you can clearly see that the iPhone shows significantly more details in the dark areas (for example the structure of clothing and the dark areas by the house). For watching movies and series I would therefore prefer the Iphone. Is the difference similarly to the naked eye?
Indoors, there is no difference to the naked eye. But near a window (daylight) or outdoors, the S21 Ultra is actually watchable whereas the iPhone struggles with brightness.

1440p wqhd+ 120hz adaptive display is subtly different but even putting s20 fes 1080p fhd+ 120hz display side by side its clear it makes a big difference to my eyes anyway
Alex, you're such a friendly and nice reviewer, I just love the way you think and talk and break up the content for us. There are so many reviewers, but many have no gut feeling for the "important stuff between the lines", but you really give me a good impression how those devices stack up against each other. Thank you for that! I personally love both. But in your vid, but also in others, I found it a bit concerning, that you can see the S21 screen flickering. I know this has to do with the video recording settings a lot, but the fact that the S21 can manually go to even under 30 frames if it has still image or so, I am afraid if my girlfriend (she is photo epileptic) will feel uncomfortable watching this screen. It worries me, that there is no easy scientific way to measure if she will be sensible to it, because she responds to some frequencies like old TV's, but most new LCDs don't flicker at all. That fact aside, the iPhone screen has also a little tad more width, you can see in full sized images or content like on facebook / insta / YT that it's a bit more chilled on the screen, on the S21 it already "kisses" the border of the phone, and gets cut sometimes. The S21 tho has the zoom camera, which really kills everything else in my opinion. It's a feature that open's doors to what you can do with the phone camera, and I for sure would use it a lot!! I would LOVE to see you compare the zoom features in depth, even if we know that the S21 blows the iPhone out of the water hear. But it still would be interesting to see, also what of the stuff is practical in real life (100x is a bit noise they say... but you can find your friends on a festival :D) and how important you think that feature is overall. (iPhone 12 zoom is also not that bad I think..) Best regards and thank you for your effort!! :)

Literally made my day 😊 as a small creator this is the sort of thing that keeps me inspired to create more 👊🏼 You’re right about the camera settings, the flicker is more pronounced when I use slow motion (120Fps) but I also see it when I’m recording in my standard 25fps. On my gaming test (I will leave a link here) I turned on the setting so you can see whether the S21 is running 60 or 120 but that flickering is also noticeable there, if you look at the games where the sky is shown for example. To the naked eye as you can expect, I don’t see that flickering at all but hard to know how that would affect your girlfriend. I do like your idea to go a bit more in depth on the zoom! I actually used it today to get a picture of some birds in the distance 😊 so even though it’s rarely used, it’s nice to know it’s there. Even the 12 times on iPhone is good enough for most useful shots. Beyond that, a tripod is needed really (and decent lighting). Just 5 minutes ago, i was in contact with apple support, to complain about less contrast and sharpness while streaming videos compared with flagship android phones. Apple is about to roll out a software update (iOS 14.5) which is gonna include ‘Mask Detection’, giving iPhone users with Apple Watches the ability to use Face ID while wearing a mask. I think the requirement to have a Apple Watch is a good thing because that way it won’t be easy for just anybody to be able to unlock the phone with their face while wearing a mask. So unless they’re wearing the watch that’s paired to the iPhone AND the watch is unlocked (which requires passcode), they won’t be able to unlock your phone.

Yes. Yellowish hue can be fixed even with True Tone turned on. Go to settings>accessibility>display and text size>color filters> turn color filters on, then select color tint, then slide intensity all the way to the left, and then adjust the hue (to the left makes it warmer and to the right makes it cooler).
Very very cool video, but you should've used the natural colour profile on the S21 Ultra because that's its most accurate mode and it supports colour management (which means it can automatically switch to wide colour gamut when needed). I'd also like to see how both of them perform when it comes to near back details on low brightness because this has been a known issue on AMOLED Android phones since AMOLED was first introduced, so I'd like to know if this was fixed on the S21 Ultra. Anyways, this was a very very nice video as your videos always are, thanks a lot for this great content and keep up with the good work! 🙏👏

Hi there! Yes they are amazing indeed. In terms of the S21 (and the S21+) both have a resolution of 1080 x 2400 which is Full HD+. the Ultra has a higher resolution of 1440 x 3200 which is WQHD+ . It is also curved whereas the S21 and S21+ are flat. Hope this helps and thanks for the kind words! 🙏

I have had Android and iPhone. I was an Android fan boy then became an iPhone fanboy. I just got the S21 Ultra and WHOA, it really is amazing the difference in person. If Apple or Samsung allowed an in person comparison Apple wouldn’t agree because the Samsung screen blows the iPhone away. Sure Apple uses Samsung but this is honestly like Samsung is purposefully holding back 2 generations of advancements. The Samsung screen is AMAZING. If I could have that on the iPhone with the tweaking functions I’d say Apple! Because I have the Apple Watch. AirPods, etc but I’m slowly transferring to the Samsung S21 Ultra!!! You gotta give credit where it’s due! I also love my Samsung TV and how awesome the phone actually interacts with the TV. Seamless. I may have to switch to the Android watches and give up the overpriced AirPods. They’re great but perhaps not something to keep me held back.
I wish Apple had a function when setting up your phone to have the Max functionality which is what most standard iPhone users utilize on a daily basis. But there is an Ultra iPhone feature you can enable, it’s not recommended or suggested for typical users and is complex, users such as developers and people that want to fine tune their iPhones each and every feature are happy using. Make your selection and if you find Ultra too confusing it’s as easy as going to settings and switching back to the Maximum setting!

Seems like the I phone doesn't have as much of a problem with black crush in darker areas of a scene as the S21, that's something that's always bothered me about pretty much every OLED phone I've ever had is that the screens are too dark in low light scenes, it seems it's a calibration problem that maybe apple is better at, maybe the iphone just looks better in this area because I'm not seeing it in person
Samsung is the one! I don't really like iPhone😅 I don't even know why.😅 My phone is already 4 years old but it keeps on slaying (not the camera though😅). I got this from my brother and he used it for more than 2 years in his work and now I'm using it for my studies. Hope to get a new one soon, since I share this with my sister because of the online class (not everyone has their own cellphones you know😅just saying, Lol). Again, you did a great job sir. I think you're spamming too much the "Subscribe" "Like" "Comment" and etc. Doing that can make your viewers annoyed and leave quicker. You shouldn't care much about likes, but most importantly about watch time. I'm pretty sure this video could have been 5 minutes or even 4 minutes long, a short amount of time where the viewer is focused, and happy of the content. If you had to find the good balance between watch time and video length, you would get more likes and more subscribers. You can also take the risk of asking to the viewer to like or dislike, to make him choose something, and not leave without anything. If he is happy with the video, he'll maybe consider liking. If not, disliking. And both are great ! So I hope that you'll find this long advice useful to make your videos shorter, more efficient, and more catching to the eyes and mostly what the viewer wants to hear. Good luck for next.

It's definitely on the colourful side 😂 I find it very comfortable to watch content and scroll through socials but yeah for accuracy I think the iPhone may still be more true to life
I have the s21 ultra and my girlfriend has the iphone 12 pro max. She paid $200 more for her phone but my s21 ultra's display is superior in all respects. Also note that s21 ultra has significantly more screen area in a narrower form factor due to much smaller bezels and just a hole punch for the camera instead of the huge notch on the iphone. It could be argued the the iphone's diagonal size is misleading given that the notch occupies a significant portion of the top.

not in all aspect lol apple displays are top notch in terms of quality and colour accuracy samsung only has edge in 120 hz. and knowing samsung after 2 years ur display will go burn in . while ur girlfriends iPhone will keep going probably forever
I must update this thread with the fact that I ended up returning the phone. The software bugs I encountered were simply unacceptable for a device of this cost plus it became apparent that samsung attempting to monetize my use of the device by promoting often to use their paid services or serving ads on system applications. Such experience left me no longer happy or proud about owning the device despite the amazing hardware.
😳 oh no! I totally understand though, I try not to sign up to some of their stuff unless I really need it, I mean is bad enough that Google holds so much of my life already! But fair enough, bugs and ads are unacceptable at this level. I hope they iron out these issues in future and maybe you can try them again. Are you going back to the iPhone or will you try something else?
It’s noticeable. But, 120hz vs 60hz in an android phone is more noticeable. And I just admire how smooth the transition of iPhone; how much more if it has the promotion in iPad pro🙂

Oh yeah totally. There are many variables between me and you. My camera refresh rate, the fps settings in my video editing timeline, the decoding I used when exporting, the monitor or display you are using to watch and of course as you said the UA-cam fps and chosen resolution. Which is why I tried to mention those variables at around 4:16 👊🏼
@@bl1ngy628 My understanding (I could be wrong) is when you put it under direct sunlight for example the brightness should increase, you can test this by shining a bright light on it too. When in manual it will only go as high as you set manually.

I put it in manual because i noticed that in the s21 ultra when it's on adaptive brightness, even on dark places it stays very bright (Maybe the problem is just on my phone idk) but yeah so i prefer to set it manually. When i'm out under direct sunlight i put it in maximum brightness.
@@bl1ngy628 look the video is lil bit misleading iPhone is actually brighter when u adjust to max it can go to 800 nits while samsung maybe about 500-600 but outdoor samsung can hit 1400 nits compared to 1200 nits on iPhone.
Yesterday went to a nearby store to check out the s21 ultra. And damn! that screen is nice!! Btw I’m a iPhone 12 user 😉 I want to have a bigger screen. And I first thought to buy the pro max . But now I’m in serious doubt!
Hey Chris! I was so tempted last year by the S20 and this year I just had to try it. AS you say, the display is so nice. The whole design is top notch really. I hadn't used a Samsung device for about 6 years and I think I chose the right time to do it. The 12 Pro Max is also a fantastic phone, the video quality is fantastic but I don't know.. there's something about the S21 Ultra, maybe its the slightly narrower form factor, and the 120Hz combined that makes it a really great combination. I did a battery test as well if you're interested, thats another area where it performs really well. If you are not wedded to the Apple 'ecosystem' this is a great device to use, really good fun. AirDrop is also something I miss, but there are good alternatives for Android transfer to Mac. Not as neat as AirDrop but doesn't add too much extra to my workflow. Samsung should pay me commission. I will stop it now 😂
@@villacurtricias you will love it, takes a couple of weeks to get used to it all. I found the keyboard to be the biggest barrier but Gboard sorted that out. If you use a Mac laptop to move files around, then also try OpenMTP. It’s not Airdrop but it’s better than Android File Transfer, especially for larger files like videos. Everything else for me it’s been a breeze. Looking forward to hearing what you think!

I got the iPhone 12 Max Pro today after switching from my old Galaxy 9 plus and I regretted it. The colors on my galaxy are more vivid and my new iphone’s display looks more dull and unsaturated in comparison. I should have stuck with the galaxy line...

I love samsung but I gotta say iphone is better when it comes to performance for example, on the iphone 11 genshin impact runs consistent 60fps on my S20+ 60fps doesn't even stay it goes to 40-50 then 30fps how the fuck does it have a 120fps option but still runs like balls on those settings like seriously?

Yeah, I do like how it feels in the hand but I've been using the 11 Pro Max and 12 Pro Max so kinda used to massive phones. As this is slightly narrower for me it feels safer in the hand as well but definitely try it out as everyone is different! 🤞 it wont be long until the stores re-open!
Great comparison video man. But I'm surprised you didn't mention the significant portion of screen area ate by the big ol notch on iPhone compared to super tiny punch hole on Ultra. It's one of the thing I hate the most on new gen iPhone, still got same same notch design for 3+ years by now ! Of course it is subjective, but between 01:56 and 02:18 you can clearly see that the iPhone shows significantly more details in the dark areas (for example the structure of clothing and the dark areas by the house). For watching movies and series I would therefore prefer the Iphone. Is the difference similarly to the naked eye?
Indoors, there is no difference to the naked eye. But near a window (daylight) or outdoors, the S21 Ultra is actually watchable whereas the iPhone struggles with brightness.

On the 12 Pro Max, it is about to become a great bargain, as soon as that 13 drops! Like you, I probably have iOS fatigue after so many years so went for the S21 Ultra. But iPhones are solid devices really, especially if you are already on the "ecosystem".

1440p wqhd+ 120hz adaptive display is subtly different but even putting s20 fes 1080p fhd+ 120hz display side by side its clear it makes a big difference to my eyes anyway

Alex, you're such a friendly and nice reviewer, I just love the way you think and talk and break up the content for us. There are so many reviewers, but many have no gut feeling for the "important stuff between the lines", but you really give me a good impression how those devices stack up against each other. Thank you for that! I personally love both. But in your vid, but also in others, I found it a bit concerning, that you can see the S21 screen flickering. I know this has to do with the video recording settings a lot, but the fact that the S21 can manually go to even under 30 frames if it has still image or so, I am afraid if my girlfriend (she is photo epileptic) will feel uncomfortable watching this screen. It worries me, that there is no easy scientific way to measure if she will be sensible to it, because she responds to some frequencies like old TV's, but most new LCDs don't flicker at all.
That fact aside, the iPhone screen has also a little tad more width, you can see in full sized images or content like on facebook / insta / YT that it's a bit more chilled on the screen, on the S21 it already "kisses" the border of the phone, and gets cut sometimes.
The S21 tho has the zoom camera, which really kills everything else in my opinion. It's a feature that open's doors to what you can do with the phone camera, and I for sure would use it a lot!!
I would LOVE to see you compare the zoom features in depth, even if we know that the S21 blows the iPhone out of the water hear. But it still would be interesting to see, also what of the stuff is practical in real life (100x is a bit noise they say... but you can find your friends on a festival :D) and how important you think that feature is overall. (iPhone 12 zoom is also not that bad I think..)

You’re right about the camera settings, the flicker is more pronounced when I use slow motion (120Fps) but I also see it when I’m recording in my standard 25fps.
On my gaming test (I will leave a link here) I turned on the setting so you can see whether the S21 is running 60 or 120 but that flickering is also noticeable there, if you look at the games where the sky is shown for example. To the naked eye as you can expect, I don’t see that flickering at all but hard to know how that would affect your girlfriend.
I do like your idea to go a bit more in depth on the zoom! I actually used it today to get a picture of some birds in the distance 😊 so even though it’s rarely used, it’s nice to know it’s there. Even the 12 times on iPhone is good enough for most useful shots. Beyond that, a tripod is needed really (and decent lighting).

Apple is about to roll out a software update (iOS 14.5) which is gonna include ‘Mask Detection’, giving iPhone users with Apple Watches the ability to use Face ID while wearing a mask. I think the requirement to have a Apple Watch is a good thing because that way it won’t be easy for just anybody to be able to unlock the phone with their face while wearing a mask. So unless they’re wearing the watch that’s paired to the iPhone AND the watch is unlocked (which requires passcode), they won’t be able to unlock your phone.

Yes. Yellowish hue can be fixed even with True Tone turned on. Go to settings>accessibility>display and text size>color filters> turn color filters on, then select color tint, then slide intensity all the way to the left, and then adjust the hue (to the left makes it warmer and to the right makes it cooler).

Very very cool video, but you should've used the natural colour profile on the S21 Ultra because that's its most accurate mode and it supports colour management (which means it can automatically switch to wide colour gamut when needed). I'd also like to see how both of them perform when it comes to near back details on low brightness because this has been a known issue on AMOLED Android phones since AMOLED was first introduced, so I'd like to know if this was fixed on the S21 Ultra.

Hi there! Yes they are amazing indeed. In terms of the S21 (and the S21+) both have a resolution of 1080 x 2400 which is Full HD+. the Ultra has a higher resolution of 1440 x 3200 which is WQHD+ . It is also curved whereas the S21 and S21+ are flat. Hope this helps and thanks for the kind words! 🙏

I have had Android and iPhone. I was an Android fan boy then became an iPhone fanboy.
I just got the S21 Ultra and WHOA, it really is amazing the difference in person. If Apple or Samsung allowed an in person comparison Apple wouldn’t agree because the Samsung screen blows the iPhone away.
Sure Apple uses Samsung but this is honestly like Samsung is purposefully holding back 2 generations of advancements.
The Samsung screen is AMAZING. If I could have that on the iPhone with the tweaking functions I’d say Apple! Because I have the Apple Watch. AirPods, etc but I’m slowly transferring to the Samsung S21 Ultra!!!
You gotta give credit where it’s due! I also love my Samsung TV and how awesome the phone actually interacts with the TV. Seamless. I may have to switch to the Android watches and give up the overpriced AirPods. They’re great but perhaps not something to keep me held back.
I wish Apple had a function when setting up your phone to have the Max functionality which is what most standard iPhone users utilize on a daily basis.
But there is an Ultra iPhone feature you can enable, it’s not recommended or suggested for typical users and is complex, users such as developers and people that want to fine tune their iPhones each and every feature are happy using.
Make your selection and if you find Ultra too confusing it’s as easy as going to settings and switching back to the Maximum setting!

Seems like the I phone doesn't have as much of a problem with black crush in darker areas of a scene as the S21, that's something that's always bothered me about pretty much every OLED phone I've ever had is that the screens are too dark in low light scenes, it seems it's a calibration problem that maybe apple is better at, maybe the iphone just looks better in this area because I'm not seeing it in person

I think you're spamming too much the "Subscribe" "Like" "Comment" and etc. Doing that can make your viewers annoyed and leave quicker. You shouldn't care much about likes, but most importantly about watch time. I'm pretty sure this video could have been 5 minutes or even 4 minutes long, a short amount of time where the viewer is focused, and happy of the content. If you had to find the good balance between watch time and video length, you would get more likes and more subscribers.
You can also take the risk of asking to the viewer to like or dislike, to make him choose something, and not leave without anything. If he is happy with the video, he'll maybe consider liking. If not, disliking. And both are great ! So I hope that you'll find this long advice useful to make your videos shorter, more efficient, and more catching to the eyes and mostly what the viewer wants to hear. Good luck for next.

The reason I hate samsung display is Oversaturated. As a graphic designer, it is a big deal breaker.
It's definitely on the colourful side 😂 I find it very comfortable to watch content and scroll through socials but yeah for accuracy I think the iPhone may still be more true to life

I have the s21 ultra and my girlfriend has the iphone 12 pro max. She paid $200 more for her phone but my s21 ultra's display is superior in all respects. Also note that s21 ultra has significantly more screen area in a narrower form factor due to much smaller bezels and just a hole punch for the camera instead of the huge notch on the iphone. It could be argued the the iphone's diagonal size is misleading given that the notch occupies a significant portion of the top.

not in all aspect lol apple displays are top notch in terms of quality and colour accuracy samsung only has edge in 120 hz. and knowing samsung after 2 years ur display will go burn in . while ur girlfriends iPhone will keep going probably forever
I must update this thread with the fact that I ended up returning the phone. The software bugs I encountered were simply unacceptable for a device of this cost plus it became apparent that samsung attempting to monetize my use of the device by promoting often to use their paid services or serving ads on system applications. Such experience left me no longer happy or proud about owning the device despite the amazing hardware.
😳 oh no! I totally understand though, I try not to sign up to some of their stuff unless I really need it, I mean is bad enough that Google holds so much of my life already! But fair enough, bugs and ads are unacceptable at this level.
I hope they iron out these issues in future and maybe you can try them again. Are you going back to the iPhone or will you try something else?
I hope it stays solid enough until at least they release a new phone so I can trade it in 😊
It’s noticeable. But, 120hz vs 60hz in an android phone is more noticeable. And I just admire how smooth the transition of iPhone; how much more if it has the promotion in iPad pro🙂

i can notice oled flicker on s21 at 3:33 I am sensitive to light so s21 will be big trouble for me with that flicker
Hi there! That was shot at 120 FPS when the phone was sat idle at 60FPS - it’s just my bad filmmaking 😂 human eyes won’t notice the flicker 😉

Its so nice! Both displays are really great, I think Samsung edges it a little bit when it comes to refresh rate for certain activities like gaming or reading documents, scrolling through social media. Thanks for watching, wish you a great week ahead!

Oh yeah totally. There are many variables between me and you. My camera refresh rate, the fps settings in my video editing timeline, the decoding I used when exporting, the monitor or display you are using to watch and of course as you said the UA-cam fps and chosen resolution. Which is why I tried to mention those variables at around 4:16 👊🏼
I am using s21 ultra with adaptive display now I can easily make out the difference between 60hz and 120Hz refresh rate.
Right? It really makes a difference, not sure why apple took so long to give it to us too

Samsung limits thier display brightness in manual mode... Turn on adaptive brightness while checking the brightness

Can you please explain? I don't get it. My brightness is on manual is there any limitation ?
@@bl1ngy628 My understanding (I could be wrong) is when you put it under direct sunlight for example the brightness should increase, you can test this by shining a bright light on it too. When in manual it will only go as high as you set manually.

I put it in manual because i noticed that in the s21 ultra when it's on adaptive brightness, even on dark places it stays very bright (Maybe the problem is just on my phone idk) but yeah so i prefer to set it manually. When i'm out under direct sunlight i put it in maximum brightness.
@@bl1ngy628 look the video is lil bit misleading iPhone is actually brighter when u adjust to max it can go to 800 nits while samsung maybe about 500-600 but outdoor samsung can hit 1400 nits compared to 1200 nits on iPhone.

Yesterday went to a nearby store to check out the s21 ultra. And damn! that screen is nice!! Btw I’m a iPhone 12 user 😉 I want to have a bigger screen. And I first thought to buy the pro max . But now I’m in serious doubt!
Hey Chris! I was so tempted last year by the S20 and this year I just had to try it. AS you say, the display is so nice. The whole design is top notch really. I hadn't used a Samsung device for about 6 years and I think I chose the right time to do it. The 12 Pro Max is also a fantastic phone, the video quality is fantastic but I don't know.. there's something about the S21 Ultra, maybe its the slightly narrower form factor, and the 120Hz combined that makes it a really great combination. I did a battery test as well if you're interested, thats another area where it performs really well. If you are not wedded to the Apple 'ecosystem' this is a great device to use, really good fun. @@AlexGTech The golden fence of the eco system is a bit of a pain to get out of 😅😄 But I’m already checking out alternatives for my Apple Watch. The MacBook is no problem. And AirPods do work on an Android also . So… 😬 very tempted to switch !
@@villacurtricias indeed! I do miss the Apple keyboard on iOS but G-board is a good alternative, 90% there in functionality I'd say. AirDrop is also something I miss, but there are good alternatives for Android transfer to Mac. Not as neat as AirDrop but doesn't add too much extra to my workflow. Samsung should pay me commission. I will stop it now 😂

@@villacurtricias you will love it, takes a couple of weeks to get used to it all. I found the keyboard to be the biggest barrier but Gboard sorted that out. If you use a Mac laptop to move files around, then also try OpenMTP. It’s not Airdrop but it’s better than Android File Transfer, especially for larger files like videos. Everything else for me it’s been a breeze. Looking forward to hearing what you think!

I got the iPhone 12 Max Pro today after switching from my old Galaxy 9 plus and I regretted it. The colors on my galaxy are more vivid and my new iphone’s display looks more dull and unsaturated in comparison. I should have stuck with the galaxy line...
HI Joan, yes the display on Samsung devices is amazing really. it's good to switch every now and then though, maybe go back when the S22 comes out, the 12 Pro should retain a good selling price 👊

Yeah that’s true, it’s still not as good though even with HDR on. Solid device though, the best of 2021 until now with the iPhone 13

Yes, a simple human eye test watching content is enough to see that the display is much better on the Samsung, especially in outdoor conditions.
