oh my! this is so amazing! so much energy in, well i want to say the sky but feel without the sea it wouldn't have half so much. you paint the power of nature so well! thank you for all you share!
Your work is so amazing and I cannot process in my mind how people are this talented. Like seriously when I see the thumbnails of your videos I'm like "pffftt no way someone could paint something Iike that" and then i click on the video and honey it's proves me wrong. Not only am I mind blown but I'm also taught how I can achieve something like that and that is truly amazing. Love it.❤
Your very welcome Hulk, my pleasure to share. I hope you start painting with watercolors :) it's so lovely and relaxing! Thank you so much for your nice comment 🤗Feeling very flattered ☺️🌹
bonsoirMaria, quelle superbe mer , avec un beau ciel, comme je les aiment, sublimeeeeee! !!!! vous peignez de beau paysages,!!! comme toujours , j adoreeeeee! !
Hi Maria, I recently found your painting demos and love your work! Thanks for sharing them. Would it be possible for you to add the colors you are using in the demo in the description section-for those of us who wanted to follow along so we could prepare the colors to use? Thanks again. Keep up the great work!
Hi :) Thank you for subscribing and welcome to my channel :) Yes, and I have been adding already all the colors in a video, so when you watch it, I have noted when and what colors I am using. For example at the beginning of this video when you first start watching it I have mentioned: Cadmium yellow hue and yellow ochre, were you able to see/read that? Thank you so much!
you make this look so effortless ! beautiful! I tried to recreate it and I'm getting discouraged, but I know that I must continue to practice and learn if I want to be proficient in watercolor painting
Hi :) thank you so much! yes, practice and patience is the key, keep painting and don't worry if something doesn't come out right the first time, just try to paint it again until you get the effect you want. Also make sure you have a good watercolor paper :)
Beautiful painting! I have a question...did you only wet the paper at the beginning and paint the whole picture or did you let it dry after some point and re wet it then continue? Again, beautiful Painting Maria!
Hi Hector, thank you! I always want to but when I upload my video to iMovie the video is about 1.5 hrs long.. I'm afraid none would want to watch me paint for 1.5hrs haha All the videos are fast forwarded X2. I will try to paint something not so complicated and maybe then make it real time. Just be prepared for a 30-60min video!
understood but many are just 10 minutes or so which at x2 would only be 20/25 minutes . 1 1/2 hours would be no hardship for me lol , would appreciate the opportunity to watch the process in normal time ,thanks very much
Yes you are right :) it's because I cut out all the time I dip my brush in the water, I cut every time I add more paint and cut all the time I'm pondering around where to add light etc. so you don't see that. I edit it so all you see is my hand with a brush on the paper and that is forwarded X2 :) So yea it makes it much shorter. I have been trying to keep my videos max 18 min long. I always thought the longer the videos are the less people want to watch it. There's analytics option on my channel, it tells me how much an average person spends on one video.. Unfortunately average is only 5-6min :( but I will make a real time video and see how it does :) thanks Hector!
Thank you, Maria, for sharing your art with us and for taking us through, step-by-step. I am making progress by working through your tutorials. I need a bit of help on the colors in this painting. Can you please tell us what are the colors referred to in this sentence: "This painting is simple because I only used 5 watercolors, and I could probably get away with 4 since Cadmium Yellow Pale had barely any yellow ochre in it." Can you please tell us what is the yellow you start with for the sun at 0.09? Thank you!
How long does a painting like this take from start to finish? The timelapse is beautiful but I cannot get a sense of the time I need to plan for a work like this?
Yes, but your paints are being pulled from each side of paper. So, is the paper setting inside your paint? Seems dumb question, however, it looks like it is?
Hi Sandy, I don't really understand your question... this is also one of my older videos that I uploaded either last year or beginning of this year....and the quality may not be as good as my today's videos. I added light "yellow" colors in the middle between the clouds, but the clouds come from the outside and I was painting towards the center, leaving lighter areas inside.
Hi, ☺️not sure what you meant... ? I work fast and often don't wait until parts are dry on my paper.. this is an older video and my newest videos have much more "explaining done". thank you
Hi Linda, the paper was previously wetted with a brush, and the waves I painted with a wet brush dipped in watercolor diluted with water, some strokes have less water then the other. I started with a wet paper. If you look at the video again, about 2:57, the bottom part of the paper was pretty much dry, so then it was like painting the waves on dry. Thank you! I hope this helps.
Hi Rigphel, its something I just do without thinking haha but I think I wait until the previous layer is about to fully dry, definitely can't be dump wet and not completely dry. Somewhere in the middle, right before it starts to dry :) and of course it depends on what I paint... I hope this makes sense :)
Hi Jane, when painting with watercolors, you will need watercolor paper but if you just use acrylics, oils etc then you can definitely paint on canvas. You can paint anything with any medium :)

Hi Kangkhita, it has to be paper that can absorb water really well and is durable. I only paint on watercolors papers. I don't really recommend any other types of papers if you want to get the best results. thanks

another great painting , congratulations . Would you consider doing one in real time Maria ? it would help in showing your techniques in more detail
Hi Hector, thank you! I always want to but when I upload my video to iMovie the video is about 1.5 hrs long.. It’s amazing how it looks like little Radom paint splatters but turns into such a pretty art work. I think watercolor is just too hard for me lol
Thank you so much 😀
Fantástico
grazie☺️
bellissimo!

You're amazing. I love painting with watercolor, but I find it difficult to paint with techniques. Your paintings always inspire me very much
thank you so much.. I really appreciate your comment, really happy to hear it inspires you :))
Merci Maria, aquarelle difficile, je ne l’ai pas très bien réussie par rapport à d’autres , mais c’est une expérience intéressante néanmoins.
merci beaucoup :) nous apprenons tous avec le temps, tout est une question de pratique☺️🌸
How long does a painting like this take from start to finish? The timelapse is beautiful but I cannot get a sense of the time I need to plan for a work like this?
Hi Matt, landscapes take me anywhere between 20min -1hr, something like this about 45 min

Magic! 🤗
Wow nice
Thank you Fatima🤗🌸
I'm new to your channel ,this painting looks absolutely beautiful. what kind of paper do you use ?
Hi Rajesh :) thank you! and thank you so much for subscribing. I used a watercolor paper hot pressed 140lb 100% cotton :)
I like this but did you skip near the end because it dried that way? I am confused on this
Hi, ☺️not sure what you meant... ? I work fast and often don't wait until parts are dry on my paper.. this is an older video and my newest videos have much more "explaining done". thank you
Are you using wet on dry for the waves? Really lovely

I started with a wet paper. If you look at the video again, about 2:57, the bottom part of the paper was pretty much dry, so then it was like painting the waves on dry. Thank you! I hope this helps.
in all your water colour paintings, how long must i wait before applying a new coat of paint on top of another before it is fully dry,
Hi Rigphel, its something I just do without thinking haha but I think I wait until the previous layer is about to fully dry, definitely can't be dump wet and not completely dry. Somewhere in the middle, right before it starts to dry :) and of course it depends on what I paint... I hope this makes sense :)
how many hours did you spend on this painting?
This was a quick one, I think 40 min or so...
Okay... I can... tryyyyy
Have fun painting🌹🤗
thank you
Thank you for watching :)
You have your paper setting in "what"? I notice you are dragging your colors in, very little pigment. What is the paper setting on?
Hi Sandy, I paint on Arches Hot Pressed Watercolor Paper 140lb. I use water with my watercolors. thank you
You look so beautiful and cute so as your work
Thank you so much Adnan🌸🤗🌹much appreciated!
You deserve >M likes!
Thank you :)
Can this painting be applied on a canvass too?☺
Hi Jane, when painting with watercolors, you will need watercolor paper but if you just use acrylics, oils etc then you can definitely paint on canvas. You can paint anything with any medium :)

what alternative papers can be used to apply watercolor?
Hi Kangkhita, it has to be paper that can absorb water really well and is durable. I only paint on watercolors papers. I don't really recommend any other types of papers if you want to get the best results. thanks
Thanks for the advice :) I wanted to use cartridge paper, but this is helpful
Вы использовали белую гуашь?
Привет, нет, я не, просто прозрачные акварели, спасибо🐢
Is this wet on wet technique????????
Hi Sima, it depends on what point, I do both... whenever you see paint bleed, the strokes are not perfect.. the paper is still wet
Tried something similar had to bin it , only thing I got right were the different colours. 😒
I love watching you paint but Please change the colour of your font. White on white is impossible to read
Hi, thank you. I have changed my fonts in my most recent videos, they are bigger now. this is one of my older videos :)
Just finished... and I am HORRIBLE
Don't give up, try painting another one☺️🌸its all about practice!
Magical art😍👍👏👏👏
thank you very much for your kind words☺️🌷🌷
