- The MADE Lathe is shown at it’s best, making a pattern from Charles Plumier’s 1701 book on turning, The Art of the Turner. The lathe’s movement is poetry in motion so turn up the volume as it sways with the music.
This is almost too beautiful to watch
Perfection in motion
thanks
Such a beautiful art work. I would have that as art piece in my living room.
I was wondering what is the diameter of the rosettes.
Hi I've just happened onto your channel. I've been indirectly involved with OT for 30 years. I am curious to know who is behind the Plumier Foundation door. Could it be someone I know?
Hi Mark. I am a tool maker by trade and ex jeweller. I'm so happy to come to know about these beautiful machines however, I'd like to make a small one for mainly for jewelry. I'm looking for rosettes dimensions and the pattern details of how deep and elevation, so I might be able to make one for hobby when I retire. That's another 5 years from now. Hope I'm not bothering you with all this. Thank you very much.
David, Becky, and Christian Lindow operate it with the help of a number of volunteers. The doors are open for exploration and learning in Port Chester, NY.
@@garyshirinian If you do Facebook follow us as well as Ornamental Turners International where you’ll meet a lot of people that will help. If you do Instagram follow Joe Acierno who has made a miniature version. Plumier can also help you.
