Good news! I replaced the cells within the hybrid battery of the sonata, 600 miles later, everything seems to have balanced out and the battery holds charge like its new.
Did you make a video how to do it? What indicated the battery was or was going bad? I take you are in the auto repair business as I would have no idea how to it. Cost of the cells you replaced? Great to her you got it resolved!
@@cousinjohncarstuff4568 i made a video its on my youtube. It costed $700 i have no experience in cars. Im just handy. The battery sucked at holding charge and i got a p1b96 check engine light and dealer quoted me 9 grand to replace the battery.
@@cousinjohncarstuff4568 lol. I figured i was screwed. Im just gonna replace the cells with ebay cells, they are oem but from a lower mileage sonata, not sure if they need to be balanced or not
Thanks man! Looking into getting a sonata hybrid! This helped a lot!
You are welcome! I know it worked on my 2017, guessing it might work on other years.
Great video, I'll have to try this out
Thank you very much 🎉 i had this question and you answered it ! I will try it on my sonata 2016 year
Thank you for stopping by!
This is true. Tested it out today on my 2016 sonata hybrid.
Appreciate you watching!

I have to replace the hybrid battery on my 17 sonata hybrid. Gonna replace each cell myself
If you are original owner, the 2017 hybrid has lifetime hybrid battery warranty parts and labor from Hyundai. How many miles on it now?
