Pharrell Is The Reason I Even Wanted To Start Producing, He Respects Those That Came Before Him That Paved The Way...That Is What Is Lacking In Music Is Respect.
One of my favorite hip hop moments caught on camera. Not a documentary nor a edit for a behind the scenes footage... just a candid/animated conversation on a personal digital camera.
this probably one of the coolest interactions between on of the two greatest produces from two generations coming as one. now that's hip hop. stop hating on Pharrell because he's doing something different with hip-hop, that's actually good. If Premo respects him, I think that says a lot about Pharrell and Dj Premier, nuff said.
I love watching Pharrell and Primo just being FANS. All the greats are true fans of the music. They know the foundation which is why they have the faculties to take the art to the next level :)
This is why i respect Pharrell, hes like a dozen people combined. so many personalities. unpredictable. He can be chattin w/ my all-time fav artists like DJ Premier / Q-Tip / Busta...make a sick album...and then....THEN...go on to score an animated movie (Despicable Me), i saw it yesterday w/out knowing he did the soundtrack, and OMG...he made the movie even better!!!! the theme song is catchy but not the best..but ALLLLLLL his other tracks in the movie are amazing (Prettiest Girls was best).
I'm lovin' this. This is true passion and artistry. Check out Pharelles expressions when they talk about music. LOL!! Hilarious! 5:29, 5:53, AND 6:11!!! I Love it!
You have to be thankful that we have youtube and this technology in our generation, so that we in front of the screen can share and see moments like this happen. Skateboard in the room joking and at the same time paying mad respects to Primo. Listen to how this cat recreates the beats just by beatboxing. 2 of the illest that ever did it.
Jungle Brothers, Straight Out The Jungle is such a dope album. Man them impressions was on! but greatness is in the room. I cracked up when Pharell bowed.
Now this is what Hip Hop is about!!!! When to extremely talented producers can sit and give credit to one another, and show love! That is how artist learn and grow...Through humility...
my fav premo beat was the one he laid down for group home supastar.....dj premier is the greatest producer i gotta say.....pharrell changed the game up, but premier is the king
Pharrell acts like an energetic little kid, Premo acts like an old guy who's tired and wants tosit down and keeopts wiping sweat off his face with that rag haha. Premo seems like the nicest guy, like if you met him on the streets he'd actually talk to you and not act above that
That sample that Pharrell is talking about @5:36 for "The ? Remainz" didn't come from joint that Junior MAFIA sampled. It came from Bob James' "Look-Alike," which by the way is the illest beat I've ever heard using that sample.
@camoflaugetampex Woah woah slow ya role... Pharrell is an official hip hop head. Don't get it fucked up. He knows his shit after all he was 17 in 1990 so he lived through all that. He just has a different sound based on synths which is still hip hop at the end of the day!
hell yeah!!! hell yea infinity times, i noticed that. shit pharrell is a legend to me and teacher, for him to adress Premo like that....mad love fam. Its like a real life Godfather movie with music.
Pharrell’s Q-Tip impression is on point. This is a gem right here.
i like how pharell keep callin premo "teacher" #respect
cause he know what it is premo baby!!!!!
Nahw Sunnnn!
Facts!!!
pharrell's passion for his craft is second to none..... he remembers the beats and melody of songs instead of the lyrics
He’s a genius!
Me too. It's just a sign of having a goldfish-memory.
But I don't see the sounds in colors like Pharell does. 😅
isnt that what people remember first? the beat and then the lyrics? or am i special too?
Pharrell Is The Reason I Even Wanted To Start Producing, He Respects Those That Came Before Him That Paved The Way...That Is What Is Lacking In Music Is Respect.
Same here
Pharrell’s Q-Tip impression is funny as hell

I've never seen premo on camera less than 100% enthusiastic about hip hop. He lives and breathes that shit every day, truly an inspiration.
I like how Bus called Q Tip, then said Q Tip was taking too long and told the story anyway. LM AO
