SkyTrak Boom Hose Replacement
Вставка

- If you need to replace the hydraulic lines that run through your SkyTrak 8042 or 10042 telehandler's boom because they're leaking, well you've come to the right place! This job took me about 5-6 hours total, you'll need to order the correct hoses from your local JLG dealer. It's not terribly difficult if you're at all mechanically inclined. I couldn't find a single good source for this anywhere so I made this not very polished video that may not be pretty but it removes the guess work. And no you do not have to disassemble the boom! That's out there but it's just mis-information spread by the anti do-it-yourselfer party.
Thank You for posting this video! Just replaced the two hoses in boom on a 6036 Skytrak and it worked great very easy to do and all it cost me was the new hoses. They told me this could not be done without separating the boom sections and that it would cost lots of money! Thanks again. Kyle
Yep they wanted $2500 just to come out and look at mine.. we're kinda remote.
Thank you. This is such a relief. Great job on the detail instructions!
This guy saved me at least $1000.
Thanks! Considering bidding on a JLG 10054 at auction that has a blown fork cylinder hose broke right at the cylinder. You just confirmed my thoughts on the parachute cord and not having to separate the sections. Nice work.
SKytrak 10k and 12k you have to remove one boom section to replace those hoses inside the track there's no other way. 6k and 8k there's no track, four hoses just laying inside the boom easy.
@@bomanusina4635 Thanks!
Cannot be done with a 10k or 12k, due to the hose connector ends not being able to slide through the inner hose track. You’ll have to pull the first boom section out, which can be done with a forklift, or two forklifts preferably.
Thank you
How do i work this on a 10054 ?
