I agree with you about pressing a button to trigger it. I have a hatch for my baby and I set automatic routines for him. Wondering why they didn’t add this feature
If you want to turn on with the button you can press the button. You can also schedule (which was what I wanted) your machine to come ON and off at set times. Mine comes on a every night at a specific time without me doing anything. Hatch only allows you to schedule off, and you need to press the button to initiate it. I hope that makes sense.
I also hate that I can’t tap a night light on apart from starting a whole routine with sounds etc. The whole point was for me to have a clock/alarm/lamp so I wouldn’t need to sleep by my phone at night…. But this device basically can’t do anything without using your phone. Defeats the purpose for me. It is pretty but doesn’t even do the functions I would want it to
I really like the one I linked, amzn.to/3POMQ88 But everyone is different. You may not like fan noise. But I like the scheduling feature and not having to trigger it on and off each night. You can always give it a try and see if it works for you.
I got it and I agree with everything you said, but I am after the sunrise sunset function mostly, all the other product options have some kinds of flaws and things about them I don’t like. I am considering sending it back and getting the Phillips smart sleep connect for £250 If hatch haven’t added an automatic startup routine feature in till now it’s unlikely they ever will…
For the membership I totally agree they need significantly more content. Charging Spotify prices without the content is wild. I’m on week 2 and I like the device, but don’t think the price is justified. I found a flaw in one of the loops also.
That’s really weird that you have to press a button to activate sleep mode. I have the original hatch and it turns on every single night without fail at the time I set it at. But still, if all you want is noise, the Restore is way overkill.
Thanks for the info, I supposedly won this so I won't even open it and just sell it on marketplace or something. Definitely not interested in a stupid sound machine clock. Especially with a subscription.
I agree that it’s expensive, but I could deal with a higher price. For me it’s the subscription price that is holding me back from purchasing one; it’s just outrageous. However, I do really like everything else about it. Even the turn-on sleep button features, because my bedtime varies. I do understand why it would irritate those with a regular schedule though.
A prepaid label? So you got it for free? Well at least you’re honest that it’s not worth the hype, the paywall for the routine, sounds, sunrise settings is such a huge turnoff considering that’s the main feature of the alarm clock. I wanted this solely for those features since I work overnight and am waking up completely against the natural sleep cycle. I never wake up to a sunrise and never get the peace of being able to wake to birds chirping. So I wanted this to help create some of what I’m missing working overnight. But I’m not trying to pay $170 (it’s 169 now) for a glorified clock.
Hate that everything is a subscription. What about making a good product and charging appropriately for it?
why do that when they can charge you an arm and a leg for the clock AND hit you up with a subscription lol
Nice, straight to the point review. Thank you.
But how do you feel about pressing the button???

I thought you said you don’t like pushing a button, but the smaller one still requires you to do so😅

@@Channelsurfer34789 I whole heartedly agree. I like the sound machine I got off Amazon so much more.
Thank you for your honesty!
Then which one is better equipment or device to sleep deeper... I want to sleep deeply, do you have any idea?

My sentiments exactly!
Thank you for your honest review😊
I may be the outlier, but I still wanted to share 😂

Ok, don’t like buttons… lol
You can turn the sleep routine on through the app…
Not when I was using the app 🤣 Maybe there was an update since that allows it.
@@ChaoswithmycoffeeI hope so, I just ordered one and the button will piss me off too 😒
Okay so you can but you still have to do it manually why can’t you set up and automatic schedule?
What color is this hatch
Slate (grey), but it comes with other color options as well
Just So Angry
I just bought the restore (original model) do you have to press a button on that one too?
You can use Alexa to set a routine so it starts at the same time every night.

That’s interesting! If it would have had that I would have liked it more.
I really like the other one I ended up getting off Amazon thankfully lol.

The Amazon link didn't work. Can you send link?

I'm assuming she meant a prepaid label for returning the device and getting her money back. IE: Hatch doesn't charge for returns.
Ty The button at night your right about
Glad I’m not crazy 🤣
My god the ampunt of complains it’s damaging my ears lol
