I'm a Gonja (Guan) and there are so many similarities in the Gonja language and Twi. So it's very easy for us to speak Twi. Also the Akans who live in Gonjaland can understand the Gonja language easily than other northern tribes.

Yes we are all one, we all came down here from ancient Egypt. We just came in different groups in different times. Guan just means run away in Twi for a reason

Obutu or Awutu(guans) joined Ga because of the marriage between Mampong Okai(King Mantse) and Dode Akabi (Awutu princes)..
Dode Akabi became Ga mantse after the death of her husband. She was later succeeded by their son Okaikoi after her death

The Guans are the main aboriginal people of Ghana but never have an establish state but the Akans did have established states like the Techiman,Adansi,Fante,Asante,Denkyira and Akyem and they immerse the Guans with them but yet what we don't know is that the Gonja or the Guan is still the biggest region or land mark in the Ghana the savanna region but tani or mossi or mole dagban or asante of ga all the same people

Gas have rather been influenced by Ģuans because the whole of accra plains was inhabited by guans. Read on carl reindorfs history of gold coast and ashanti

Per your comment, what did the video say? Didn't the video say that, Ga has been influenced by Guan languages therefore the two Languages have a connection?

Gas are mostly guan. They assimilated with at least two guan tribes. The kpeshies and the Obutus. The Kpeshies, the Obutus and the Lartehs spoke 3 dialects of the same language. They were called La people. If you read Gold Coast history you would realise that the Lartehs used to name Korkor, Lamiokor etc. That's why people claim Larteh is a Ga word. It isn't. The Kpeshies and Obutus were forced to assimilated with the Akras. It was the Akras who migrated from the ancient Benin Kingdom in present Nigeria.Theres a reason why they don't speak yoruba or a language even close to it.A few people in the outskirts of Accra still speak the pure Kpeshie dialects.
