"He made clouds appear and start raining! He clapped his hands and made thunder!"
I think that Aladdin and his mother would have been more impressed if he'd made some *food* appear...
I had that on VHS tape when I was little before we left New Jersey.
Originally released as an RCA "Bluebird" record in 1954. Narrated by Ed Herlihy (who was well known as "the voice of Kraft Foods" on their TV shows, and the voice of the "Universal Newsreel"); adapted by Martin Weldon. Music composed and conducted by Norman Leyden.
Thank you I love Aladdin!
Amazing. I haven't thought about this series in 30 years. Crazy how the way the story is told is changed with a grown up perspective. The princess really didn't care how that guy treated her subjects. Only when he insulted her personally did she actually care LOL. The innocence of shallowness.
My brother found a copy of this on VHS and bought it because i didn't believe him this existed.
Nostalgia blaaaast
This doesn't tell the whole story. In the original tale, the wicked magician tricks the Sultan's daughter into selling him the lamp, which gives him power over the genii, whom he orders to make the Palace fly away to another country, with the Princess in it, but Aladdin finds her and recovers the lamp, so that now, he's the genii's master again, and he has him bring the Palace and the Princess home.
I like the princess she’s beautiful!
awesome vhs! thanks for uploading this
Mel-O-Toons presents:
"Aladdin"
Told by Ed Herlithy
With audio from an RCA Victor "Bluebird Children's Record" album
The princess dresses in a more historically accurate fashion here. Most other adaptations have her dress as a harem girl.
1:16 Does he look like a liar?
The magician didn’t think this through bro could’ve just got the lamp himself and thought sealing him into a cave would keep him there like bro I have a magic lamp I can just wish myself out of here. 😂
In this version, Aladdin was completely selfish and never regrets it. In the Disney Version, Aladdin was selfish but ends up regretting it and apologizing to Jasmine and a true good ending occurred.
This man had 7 wishes, i am sad.
