After living in Spain, Poland, and The Netherlands then coming back to the US I felt the exact same way. Reverse culture shock/regression depression. I’m moving back to the EU in the spring and couldn’t be more excited. I feel so much more alive there. The history, architecture, languages, culture, food, and people are so beautiful and interesting. Europe is filled with a soul that I’ve never experienced in America. The grass really is greener on the other side haha. Mad respect to you for feeling the same.
Go for it Dude. There are only a few places in the world where you shouldn’t go (North Korea, Russia, Israel, Iran, Venezuela and perhaps one or two more…). Everywhere else is going to be much better than the US. Much better…
Nice done Monica.(Monika) I wish, that my US born daughter Anita, as well, as my son Adam, would eventually try to follow your steps. Well, at least give it a chance. Both are smart, but I think, that such experience, would give them a chance to explore some other oportunities in this world.
Great story, Monica. Wishing you good luck 30 yrs ago I moved in opposite direction, from Warsaw to California. Times changed, nowadays Warsaw seems like an attractive place to live, as opposed to my boring suburbs. Thinking about moving back, at least for couple months a year.

Great story, Monika! Being born in Poland but living in the US since I was 10, I'm planning on moving my family to Poland most probably Warsaw. Life in the US is so tiring and for the most part boring. I can't wait to move and feel alive again. BTW, I've done very well financially here in the US, but there is so much more to qualify of life than just having money. Warsaw.
Dear Monica, I'm just sorry that you felt you needed to make a video explaining your choices. You have your own life to live & don't owe anyone any explanations. If you're happy, others should be, too. Best to you & your grandparents. From Western AU. xx
I’d love to know the reasons that are keeping you there. As well as the story about making the Polish woman cry. I resonate with so much you said about not feeling at home once you returned to the States

Monica, My husband and I are seriously considering moving to Poland. I have been researching what life is like in Poland. My husband just visited for work and also met with some distant cousins and loved it. He considered it a lovely modern European country. However, I was concerned when I watched a YT video with a high end real estate agent in which every video had a woman in lingerie prancing around in a sultry way. It was gross! Such a sexist marketing campaign would fail miserably in the states. It is commonly known that women are the target group when trying to sell just about anything, because, ultimately woman are the decision makers. Do you think sexism is predominate in Polish culture? Thanks
