i know this video is old, but why did you only tune to 7k rpm? the ej207 is designed to rev to 8k. understandable to limit the revs with the vf30 but the 1.5 could really benefit the extra 1k

I’ve been running a similar set up in a MY97 now for nearly four years. VF 34 with gtx billet comp wheel. 22 psi 280awkw 600nm. Link G4+ ECU. Hasn’t missed a beat. Factory 207 bottom end. Hell of a fun car 😉

      That’s huge, i was only getting 210kw atw with a vf34 at 22psi on a worked ej20 on 98

I have a the JDM V8 207 (cast pistons). Would I be able to safely replicate this set up?

This GC8 is amazing! How much of that power can you achieve on a stock EJ207 with VF34 and all the bells and whistles on 98 and E85?

Isn't the red line 8k rpm on the 207 and if it is is there a reason not to Rev that high?

should have used a blouch dom 1.5 7cm would be way less laggy with near same up top.

Curious to know why if the owner did the transplant he didn't go with an aftermarket ecu? Albeit a base model e.g. Haltech or similar? What sort of timing are you guys running on E85? I understand the limitations of the otherwise stock heads etc, what can be done tune-wise to try and alleviate that lag? Great info as always guys!

MRT are one of the biggest in Ecutek and ecutek race rom , and there you have most of the functions you want even for rally, etc adjustable launchcontroll , flatfoot shifting, speed density , boost per gear, and almost Everything that a aftermarket ecu has. That s why i think.

Mattias Andersson cool, I get that. Didn’t realize it was on ecutek. I know the product.

Ej207 has forged internals right? Anything done to the block? I wonder how that Subaru feels there a couple hundred pounds lighter than the GD chassis

rods and pistons are forged, in part 1 he says they replaced the studs only. factory block

Looks pretty laggy to me. For a track car it doesn't really matter, but for daily driver it wouldn't be my first choice. How does the bigger turbo compare to the smaller one in respect to overall area under the curve?

Most cars spools much earlier on the road, than in the dyno. And this car is built for rally as he says several times.
