  • Big advantage for the 890 R with its superior suspensions. However the geometry of the T7 was very impressive. Also the T7 is top heavy which is not the case for the 890 R since the gas is carried down low.
Would you ride your twin bike there?

That was some great riding and skill. I have a T7 too. Done COBDR,IDBDR, and parts of CABDR too. It’s a great bike for this stuff in my opinion. Subscribed.

Wooo good riding looks like the trail was above you when you were in the ravine. Ride safe and keep them coming

What was the experience level of the guy who was following you?

Average rider guy. He did the Idaho BDR by himself on the GS doing all the expert sections. But this one Lockhart basin brought him to another level. After this section his comfort level went thru the roof. Challenge yourself. KTM 890 helped him big time at being more confident.

@@mototrailz I guess “average” is relevant. Solo BDR all expert sections on a GS doesn’t exactly describe “average” rider to me. Either way, thank for the reply. I’ve been struggling off-road on an Multistrada 950S through technical terrain. Finally gave up on that bike and have deposit on a 2023 890 R, so looking forward to a more capable ride

@@eriknash8783 That 890 R helped him gain more confidence (thanks to suspension) so it is a good choice if you want to push yourself at being a better rider. He sold the GS pretty quickly and never looked back 😆. Also important to note that Idaho BDR is very easy just long and multistrada is a road bike essentially. My 2 cents.

Reasons why not to buy used Adv bikes from that area. ;)

You know people travel from all over the country to ride Utah since they ride ADV bikes. Plus they look better with battle scars reminded you where you’ve been instead of being shiny garage queens.

@@mototrailz Yes, of course. I know Utah. lol The point was, not buying some one else's battle scar bike. That would be cheating :)) I prefer to make my own scars.
