Thank you for sharing your road trips. I am very interested in EV's and hope to own one in the near future. I hope this might interest you, I have developed a DIY solar electric boat and we had fantastic trips with it on the vast waters of the Gariepdam and Vanderkloofdam. Of course on water we are not bind by roads and our slower speed does not interfere with other traffic. We had the freedom to explore wherever we chose and went out for days at a time, using only the sun as energy. Never experienced trip anxiety ever. Total freedom. At home we use our solar boat's aolar energy to power a backup power system. With frequent load shedding our home's lights are always on. Thanks again for sharing the info on charging stations and charging from normal house outlets. You proved that EV's can be used successfully on long trips in south Africa.

There are EV chargers in Clarens and Bethlehem. Just level 2 AC, but that is still better than charging off a 3-pin plug. In Clarens, look for the Clarens Retreat, to your left as you enter the town. In Bethlehem, it is by the local vet.

I love my ev. The instant torque is fantastic. I will not go back to an ice car. The government should really look at incentives on ev s here. Europe from 2030 won't allow registration of ice vehicles and South Africa will get left behind. Looks like only Toyota is going to be making ice vehicles by then...
