Kubota Neutral Safety Switch

My Kubota RTV1140 was having difficulty starting. It would sometimes start in high gear and sometimes just wouldn't start at all. This usually happened after it was being used for a while. This video shows you how I replaced the Neutral Safety Switch on a Kubota RTV1140.

The washer is actually a gasket. There are several thicknesses of gaskets for the switch to set the switch correctly.

No it was silent unless I pushed it all the way in and it got stuck/locked. If you are hearing something its probably bad. Its not to expensive or difficult to replace so it can't hurt.

What is the size of the jam nuts on that to be able to get it loose to adjust it?

How do you test the switch?

You can put a jumper on the plug and bypass it. If it works then you know the switch is bad.

We have a side by side over where we hunt.. started fine one weekend..the next weekend the dash lights come on gauges work.. horn works but will not make a sound.... going to check this safety switch when we go back. Thanks
