- Hello everyone! I'm kicking off Christmas with Mr Carrington with a UA-cam classic! I've teamed up with my good friend and fellow bargain lover Kate McCabe for an old school video. The Christmas Tag! We made up the questions / found random ones on the internet and answered 5 here and 5 over on Kate's channel :) I've listed them below if you want to do this tag, feel free to use them in a video or answer them in the comments below!

One of my favorite holiday traditions is to load the family in the car and take a long drive, so we can gawk at peoples Christmas lights! 😀🎄
I think that we call that kind
of tinsel “icycles.”. When I was a child, we had to take it off the tree to save it for next year. It was a chore putting it on the tree and even more so taking it off. Today it is made of mylar. You two are a riot!!!

Thanks for cheering me up whilst having a cold, I remember those glittery stringy things from long ago.. and definitely no to tinsel, We always had turkey as a child at christmas, then chicken when i became a mum, and now i am a veggie i let them decide.. so usually whatever they want, Sprouts and yorkshires also stuffing a big yes.. Thanks for a fun video and great hats :-)

OMG OMG OMG.... My sides are aching so much from laughing at you two... I've just watched Kate's video on her channel... You two are awesome... my answers are... Yes to tinsel... Baileys is my favourite xmas drink... Elf is my favourite xmas film... My Daughter and I have a carpet picnic as our xmas dinner (all the party food and no cooking for me... PERFECT!!) That is our xmas tradition and another xmas tradition is going to see the Coca Cola truck and we are going there in a bit (just had to watch your video first!! Mr.Carrington, I love you and Kate! You both make my day. Love Bailey's. Enjoying some Irish chocolate bar with Baileys in it. I love egg nog too. Love it non alcoholic as well as alcohol spiked. In the United States it is sold without alcohol in grocery stores. I like to spike mine with Amaretto rather than the traditional whiskey or rum.
I just love your channel and I enjoy friends on with you... Kate and Luke are so so fun and cool .... keep up the great work

Good to see you both again! Our family Christmas tradition is a weird one. Several years ago I decided to make a huge snowman 4 ft high and fill it with small presents. After the presents were given out , my then only grandson decided it would be fun to kill the Snowman, smashing it to pieces signifying the end of Christmas. I now have 7 grand children and every year have to make a new snowman to fill with gifts as the tradition to kill the snowman lives on even though the youngest grandchild is now 11 and the oldest 33 It wouldn't be Christmas without the Snowman tradition Thank goodness for wooden floors as the cotton wool the snowman is always covered in used to be murder to get off of fitted carpets. XxXx

NO TINSEL. Only the mat shop desplay chunky one with snow effect tips., lots of baubles and cinnamon sticks with ribbons, dried orange, lemon, lime slices, and a few red Robbins, finished off with warm glow lights and fine stretch cotton wool on the tree branches for a soft snow effect. The light make a soft glow on the cotton.

Yes to tinsel but not on my tree, I use it to decorate my banisters and curtain rail
One of the things that we've recently not been doing is cooking a traditional Christmas dinner. I would like to tryst cooked maybe a roasted chicken and have one or two sides and that's it. I do want to bring back putting tinsel on my tree. I haven't done it in many many years but I like the look of it and I kind of miss it so I might go back to doing that. My Christmas theme is kind of mixed or I guess I should say traditional. I have a lot of ornaments on my tree from my kids when they were little. Now I'm making ornaments with my grandkids.

Love when you and Kate film together u always have such a laugh and make us laugh too, its lovely to see your friendship would be lovely to see Luke one day too all 3 of you together would be so funny, our Christmas tradition is we always open a gift on Xmas Eve (did that since my late grandparents introduced it) hubby and I on xmas day have breakfast whilst opening pressies (stay in PJ's as long as poss) we always watch Top of the Pops too, if we see family we have a good old time, one other tradition is we light a candle at the table and set an extra drink by an empty seat for those weve lost makes them feel near to us, yes to tinsel, love Wham's Last Christmas or The Pogues, xmas dinner is Turkey (or for me Quorn as im veggie with all the trimmings) hubby loves his mout on xmas as a drink, me a Peach Snapps and Lemonade or Morgan Spice and Lemonade, we always have new PJ's for xmas and at night with full tums we watch xmas TV, love Elf, The Snowman, Love Actually and one of the favs is The Holiday such a good movie...love reading all the comments getting me in the mood for xmas 🎄

I like mulled Apple juice and mulled wine. Haven't seen the silver stuff for years, too much work. Holly and the Ivy is a nice song,. We have turkey on Thanksgiving so not for Christmas, usually BBQ ribeye, twice baked potatoes, brussel sprouts and french bread. We are in the foothills of Northern California, so we may have snow.

Mr C if you like Baileys then you should love this make your own it will keep up to 4 weeks just put in a clean bottle in the fridge but you won't need to worry as it will be drunk or poured over ice cream add it to chocolate drinks mix in a cheesecake the world is your lobster big love marc and ps fab vid Ingredients:
1⅔ cups Jameson Irish whiskey.
1 cup of single /half and half or double /heavy cream.
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk.
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup.
2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
1 teaspoon instant coffee.

I watched Kate's channel first and laughed a lot. Then I came over here and laughed a lot. You two are so funny together. Thank you for the fun :-) Turkey and stuffing is on our table every Christmas. At the New Year we may have ham instead. Tinsel? Yes! But as you say, sometimes it is a bit too much after the other ornaments are on. As a child we had tinsel every year and of course our tree in a small town and large house was much bigger than the one I have in the city in a smaller place. Every year I pick a theme colour for my tree but always red, gold and silver...one, two or three...I rotate. I notice on You Tube this year the decor for the tree seems to be an evergreen tree with white snow and red, black and white decorations. My favourite Christmas Film is "It's a Wonderful Life" or "Home Alone".

Pjs all day Xmas day ✅ chicken, nice fresh bread 🍞 cheeses n nibbles with couple of really nice desserts thanks Mr M & S then go out for late festive lunch on Boxing Day, relax then visit family n friends 27th onwards. I am not quite sure what you mean by tinsel. If it is the tinsel icicles, then i love the look, but it is too dangerous for my cats. If it is the old tinsel, then only on a retro tree. :) Turkey for Thanksgiving, ham for Christmas, seafood for New Year's Eve, and Hoppin' John (my fave) and cornbread for New Year's Day. As for veg, i love swede and parsnip mash made with smoked pork and butter. :D

No tinsel, no coloured lights let the baubles be the colour...try the coffee Baileys! For non-drinkers, I have just bought eggnog coffee beans. Amazon. I lived in The South USA Eggnog is a must...Bourbon! They even sell cartons of Jack Daniels eggnog.

What a double act. I used to live in The USA At work we used to select one Friday in December a local charity and have a Christmas sweater competition. One winner was The ugliest sweater and the other was for the glitzy prettiest one! A great tradition we all had fun and the donations were always very welcome. Asda has mugs king of The Castle and Lady of The Manour...perfect for you two.

I like a Capon a juicier bird than Turkey and larger than a chicken. Easy Trick, cook the carrots and toss in a large spoon of orange Marmalade...fancy orange glaze without the work. A tiny touch of mint jelly in the pease...posh minted peas.

No tinsel in my house too,, one tradition we have is that we always have egg and bacon for breakfast with bucks fizz,, my favourite film is home alone, and my decoration theme is mostly gold white green and red but the last few years I've been making my own decorations and it's mostly white and silver with lots of crystal and pearl, very pretty, my old friend sells jewellery and gives me bags of old broken jewellery including real pearls, and crystal beads,I made some beautiful snowflakes, you can buy little beads and jewellery wire in tiger

Christmas dinner is complicated here. Me and DH usually have a classic Crank's nut roast made by me. Our youngest and their partner are confirmed meat eaters so we usually get something chicken based for them. My oldest is veggie like us, but she has an allium intolerance. She has Quorn fillets. Going to make the nut roast onion free so she can have some too. We always get Amaretto flavoured ground coffee from Whittards, we're also getting hazel nut flavour too. Tinsel yes ish. Booze I love Stones Green Ginger Wine, Amaretto, Harvey's Bristol cream Jack Daniels is nice in coffee. I buy in Bailey's for the kids (they're adults). I like home made snowballs (cocktail made with Advocaat). I'm not much of a drinker the rest of the year so spend Christmas mildly tiddly.
