The Nissan DOHC V8 is a brilliantly designed V8, and it's track racing lineage is the inspiration for the Ricardo designed V8 in the McLaren.

I love everything he did other than the tilt of the hood. You cant get into the engine that way. I do love it though. He is one heck of a fabricator. The way that cover for the top rolls up out of there was awesome. Putting adjustable links on the front end was simple, but ingenious also.

I want a car like that some day, but I can't imagine it was cheap or easy to build.
This is actually pretty close to a car idea I had when I was studying engineering technology. I never got into enough to know all the specifics, but I wanted to, still want to, make a compact car that seats two people, has a trunk, and has wheels that go to the sides of the body so you can switch it out with a few different types of wheels depending on what terrain you're gonna be driving on.
I wanted to base its design off of old classic racing cars. The goal was to make a stylish, compact, affordable, reliable car that looked like a race car, so that not only could people afford it, but they would want to drive it. Also, it would save on gas to make it go, and materials used to make it, but that sounds a bit idealist.
One problem I remember hearing is that most people drive 4-seated cars, but spend a majority of their time driving alone.

Very cool! love the fact he used the Nissan VK56 v8 engine, 6spd out of a nissan Frontier or 370z. And the infiniti/Nissan QX56 rear differential.

Yeah I've actually had the pleasure to speak with Jack Taylor. Uses frontier manual trans, armada r230 rear diff and vk56de from the armada/titan. 07+ with vtc. I'm an avid Nissan enthusiast and titan owner. Jack and I shared parts stories. Amazing 34 speedstar. Very powerful 4 cam vk56de v8 with a unique firing order.
