Links to the stretcher bars, corner brackets, and glue in the description!! Also, watch this video on how to varnish your canvas prints. I like to varnish before stretching, makes your canvas print more resistant to scuffs while stretching ua-cam.com/video/SIRnAMbjbDM/v-deo.html
This is absolutely incredible! I've always wondered how this worked and had no idea. Really makes me want to try this even though I have zero experience and would have no idea where to start.
Wow love it

Hi there, I just finished my very first painting (paint by numbers kit lol) and I'm interested in stretching it like this and possibly also framing it.. What is the reason for the varnish you mentioned? And also, after stretching like this, can it be placed In a floating frame? Thanks ❤
I'm planning to make a video about this, but haven't got it done yet... Basically it's best to varnish before stretching a print because it might crack around the edges where it bends as its folding together. You could also scuff the surface. But with a painting, you're probably OK to try to go ahead and stretch it without varnishing, just be careful not to slide it around too much on a rough surface where it would scuff. I'd put a blanket or something soft down on top of your table prior to stretching.
I think you could still use a floating frame. It kind of depends on the frame and how you would be connecting it. L brackets with screws should work, every floating frame is a little different...
I love how you did this but I don’t love the price ($45-$65 per picture) of the stretcher bars! I need something cheap.
I’m not sure what exact size you’re calculating, but the stretcher bars should not cost that much. if you look on the breathing color website, you can see that you have to order about 10 at a time, but the prices are around $10-15 each.
Would you still recommend this system for a larger (48”) canvas?
If you go on the breathing color website, there is a higher priced version of these stretcher bars that would work better for a larger canvases. The ones I show the video are the standard version, the ones for larger canvases are pro. They are more expensive, so I don’t use them for the smaller canvases. But if you’re doing something that large, you should definitely pay the extra money because it will be better.
Is there any where else to get the blue things the breathing place is out of their starter kits and I am having no luck finding them elsewhere?
They sell them here too www.itsupplies.com/simply-elegant-stretcher-bars
Thank you so much
hey have you ever tried breathingcolor no varnish canvas paper or any different brand i am trying to stretch my canvases without varnish my body reacts really bad to it but the paper i got from breathing color cracks around the borders
I have, but it will not work with these stretcher bars. The adhesive on these bars will not permanently stick to their pre-varnished canvas. It will end up coming loose in places after a couple months (sometimes less). That's what it did when I tried it anyway...
@@KrystleColeArt thank you
Please where can I get the stretcher bars to frame a 36" by 47" painting?
Go to the link in the description, on the breathing color website there is a higher grade option of the stretch bars that come in much larger sizes. They probably have that size on there. I’ve never made one that big, but I’d check. If you have questions, you can also call the company. Links are in the description to breathing color.
Hello. How are you? I am new to the canvas world. Can you tell me a list of things I need. I saw you use glue, but what type of glue was it?
Looked like PVA glue
In the description :)
Where do you purchase the blue corner support
The link to everything I discussed in the video was in the description!
Wait a minute; How did the corner dots get on the backside of the canvas?
I'm assuming you're asking about the dots I applied with sharpie to the blank side of the canvas. Rewatch the video, you will see exactly how I added them! Better than I can explain in text. But I use the holes I poked through the canvas and colored in the other side with the sharpie to use as a guide to know where to mount the stretchers :)
Would you know if the wood stretcher bars are shipped to Australia?
I don't know, but you can reach out to the company and ask them. There may be a distributor in your country as well.
There is a supplier in Australia called Paint Plot; they sell canvases and stretcher bars as well as other supplies
Excellent video! They don't ship to canada ugh. I just wanted to buy those corner brackets! Would it be possible to buy them from you if you have an extra 4? I am in Toronto, would pay for shipping.
Pastę a link to this glued frame, pleeease😊

@@KrystleColeArtYou should really add some affiliate links so you can make some money!
Where do you get corner brackets? Cant find it in the link you share
On the same website page that you buy the stretcher bars. There's a drop-down menu and you can buy the extra parts like the corner, brackets, glue, etc.
I bought the corner brackets from the drop down menu and they arrived and look nothing like yours. The website does not show photos of the product so unfortunately I only figured this out after it was delivered. Is there another site that sells the brackets or another name it goes by?
If they sent you corner brackets that don't fit the stretcher bars you purchased from them, I would contact them and ask to exchange them for you. They sell two different types of corner brackets. They are for the easy wrap standard and easy wrap pro. I use the easy wrap standard in the video, which is the thinner stretcher bar also more affordable. I'm not a representative of Breathing Color and I do not get anything from them, not even a commission, so I wish I could help more. I would call Breathing Color's customer service though, because I've shopped with them for years and I'm sure they'll help you figure this out and refund you/replace.@@sashafleary3765
I looked on Amazon and I found this stretcher bar, it looks like it will work in a very similar way as the ones I use in the video. Except they don't have corner brackets. They show you how to do it by measuring. I honestly don't think I would like that method much because it's not as quick. You have to measure everything out, but if you don't need the brackets, it's probably cheaper to get started...and they sell the frames one at a time (affiliate llnk) amzn.to/48afOY5
Dude.... I am totally getting rid of my staple gun lol.
Ditto
Was so excited about this until I found out no store carries it 😢
I put the links where you can purchase online in the description
Breathingcolor.com is the website you go to, it’s linked in the description
@@KrystleColeArt was hoping to find it in a store. Oh well
Great idea these stretcher bars, however, definitely NOT for high quality work or fine art.
