Yep. After USC became the first fully integrated college team to play a game in the state of Alabama in the 1970 opener for the Trojans and the Tide and USC kicked the Hell out of Bama. Sam "The Bam" Cunnighman ran wild on them and after that whooping Bear Bryant told the school elders and the trustees and the alumni that if they ever wanted to play for another national championship then they would have to get some black players.
