Let me explain: The reason for the divergence/D-mail, and why Kurisu told herself to wait, was so Okabe would miss her confession, and he could return to his original worldline with Miyuri and forget about her, and be happy. That is so true, she went in to delay him from changing world line, but when the message from him went to her in zero she slowed down so that he finished changing world line a bit faster holy shit. Also different last words he heard before moving.
For those who keep asking why the divergence number is different: zero ep 8, from what daru said when he express his disappointment towards okabe, it means on that time okabe did not press the enter button, which means Kurisu arrived in time and able to finished her sentence, then okabe chose her. This is also why Kurisu know which message will bring zero okabe back to his timeline, so the divergence shown on zero ep 8, was belong to zero okabe, which happens after Kurisu tap the send button on behalf of zero okabe. While the other divergence number, belongs to the steins gate okabe.
Its because he can't go back to the same timeline if he returns to the same time line he would have ended up in a loop where he can't go back to the beta world by going back to beta get kicked to alpha and kurisu help him back and get kicked out again and again
In 0 ep 8, she had to delay her confession so that Okabe would go to the beta line, or else he might have stayed in the Alpha. So, going back to 22, since she was delayed with, "Don't come in", Okabe had the chance to go to the beta line. Since he was in beta after this d-mail, it would only make sense for him to go back to the beta in ep 8, after he sent the actual d-mail. THIS WAS MAD CONFUSING BUT IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW
This makes sense, so stuff that happened in Steins;Gate 0 affected what happened in the original Steins;Gate. If you were to rewatch the original Steins;Gate after watching Steins;Gate 0, you will understand so many things that happened behind the scenes that you didn't know before until watching Steins;Gate 0. It's an emotional rollercoaster.
I find Okabe's speech on ep22 with the song on ep8 working so well side by side, it's like the director expected someone to put them side by side in the first place.
Can you even imagine never even know about episodes 23a ,24, 25 (OVA) & Movie? -> For those poor unfortunate souls doing "blind reactions" following *The True Meta* "chronological sequence"; I call it "The Nine Hells & Tartarus" route.
If you notice the number of divergence changes, that means that in episode 9, Okabe will return to the Beta world line again but with some important changes.
Don't forget one thing : All the feel okabe has, is necessary to reach the Steins;gate worldline , because he is the okabe who give the solution to the alpha worldline okabe
Actually, the whole point of the episode 8 is that IT IS A FALSE CHOICE. -> This Okabe realized that his "first encounter" with Kurisu did not matched either her memories or his own [implying there was a third]. This is the spark of HOPE.
Not true! Maybe at the times crucial, painful, time-altering events occur or decisions are made; but if you've watched the entire series, you know everything ends up o.k. Whether, that's Episode 24, The OVA, or the Steins;Gate movie.
The reason why Okabe sent an d-mail is to not hear Kurisu's confession. If okabe heard her confession before he press enter key, he would stop changing world line. So zero ep08's world line is where Okabe couldn't press enter key. sorry my bad english😓
But he already pressed the enter when Kurisu came in. That’s why kurisu couldn’t finish her sentence and we see divergence meter change. Doesn’t it mean end of episode 8 is actually the same timeline in episode 22? So why divergence numbers are different like 1.09... and 1.13...?
For people who don't know Steins gate Babel of the Grieved Maze Kurisu with Kurisu perspective, after decide to seal her feeling to Okabe ( After the kiss she only say that she want Okabe to remember their moment without telling how her feeling to him ) and sacrified herself for Mayuri, then she go to meet Rumiho ( Faris ), she know that her dad and Rumiho's dad were closed friends, and after Rumiho show Kurisu some tape about their conversation in the past, Kurisu relized why dad hate her so much, than she call for him and hope to make up with him before she dissapear. But sadly, her dad once again doesn't forgive her and said that she should go dissapear, than she run away from Faris and waiting to dissapear, Faris finding her and show her the last tape about Kurisu's dad regret, he regret that he was so harsh at her 11th birthday, he want to create a time machine to tell himself not to do that, but it's too late, it been 7 years and that cannot be healed anymore. Kurisu now made up her mind, she decide not to hide her feeling anymore, she believe Okabe can make a happy ending where all of them can live, than she run as fast as possible to the Laboratory and confess with Okabe before she dissapear.......
*Basically the thing which is happening here is that Kurisu just wanted Okabe to take the decision to save Mayuri and convert the time line into the beta time line and as she regret admitting her love to okabe as shown in episode 22 bcuz and only bcuz of that confession Okabe was so afraid to just let Kurisu go from his life... so he chose Kurisu instead of Mayuri which later turned that he was in a state of shock and all that... the Extremely pity condition of Okabe mind was shown in Episode 8 of steins gate 0 (the Okabe of that Alpha worldline in which kurisu is alive) so she knew that time leap has happened again and so she reassembled D-Mail to send a dmail back to past when she was going to confess to Okabe that she love him... and the message of 'Dont Come in' delayed her arrival as well as her confession to Okabe... Now Okabe will be able to think more about Mayuri and will leave Kurisu...and then Okabe will leave happy not in depression just like Kurisu wanted (the kurisu who sent dmail)* and the divergence number is Different bcuz in the episode 22 Okabe will choose Kurisu bcuz she confessed and now the divergence number has changed bcuz Okabe will choose Mayuri bcuz kurisu hasn't confessed... and this creats 2 different worldlines a worldline where Mayuri is alive nd other one wher Kurisu is Alive thats pretty much it...
You know in S;G 0 makes me think that the divergence shift doesn’t have anything to do with S;G episode 22. It just meant that the divergence shift signifies that S;G 0 is now sent back to the Beta Attractor Field, although to a different worldline. A one step closer to the true ending.
Here's my attempt at explaining this: There are 3 Okabes. Okabe A is the one who succeeds at the end of the first season in saving Kurisu. Okabe B is the one who gives up saving Kurisu, AKA Steins Gate 0 Okabe. And Okabe C is the Okabe in episode 8 who decides not to sacrifice Kurisu to save Mayuri. Okabe A, B, and C are exactly the same up until the moment Kurisu enters the lab. Okabe A and B presses the button, and Okabe C does not, thus creating the scenario in episode 8. Okabe A and B are the same until the moment he returns from stabbing Kurisu. Okabe A goes back and succeeds in saving Kurisu, but only because Okabe B exists. Okabe had to got through the events of S;G 0 in order to learn how he can save Kurisu and give himself the resolve to save Kurisu (with help from Mayuri also slapping him instead of comforting him). In episode 8, Okabe B returns to the alpha timeline where Okabe C failed to save Mayuri. In order to undo this world line and return to the beta world line, Kurisu had to stop herself from entering the room before Okabe presses the button. The ending we see in episode 8 is Okabe C, but because of the D-mail, he pressed the button before Kurisu could enter which would allow Okabe B to return to the beta world line. The ending of episode 22 was Okabe A and B before they diverged later. The 1.13 divergence is the world line that was shown in episode 23 and episode 1-7 of 0. The 1.09 divergence is the world line after Okabe B was sent back from episode 9 onward in 0.
@@echo.1263 They all happen at the same time. Okabe B is shown the furthest into the future since Steins;Gate 0 is his story about failing and giving up. But technically none of them are further into the future than the other.
@@ShallBePurified No, they can't happen at the same time. Only 1 worldline exist at any given time, there are no parallel worldlines in Steins;Gate. And there were more than 1000 Okabes, not just 3.
@@villadavid1997 Doesn't saying there are 1000 Okabe's also mean they exist in separate worldlines? Only one worldline can exist at any given moment, but there are parallel worldlines that run along side the current one. When a shift happens, their consciousness gets transferred into another world-line, but that worldline has to exist up to that point when the shift happens. It doesn't magically pop into existence in an instance. It was always there as a possibility. It's just human consciousness is not able to perceive the events of parallel worlds. Also, this is all fiction. None of this is scientific or actually exists. Only conjecture and sci-fi.
It's my 2nd time rewatching this masterpiece and I'm still a bit confused. But I'm getting it now, there is a total of 3 world lines here right? 1: BETA world line where Okabe deletes the message from SERN's database and Kurisu dies (SG EP 22), 2: ALPHA world line where Okabe didn't delete the message due to Kurisu's confession and mayuri dies (assuming that it was the present world line from SG0 ep 8 where mayuri dies) 3: ALPHA world line where Kurisu delayed herself in order for Okabe to delete the message resulting Okabe to return to the BETA world line, where Kurisu sacrificed herself (SG0 O8) Did I get it right? 3/25/21 3rd time rewatching and here I am again ♥
FYI: IN S;G 0 ep 8 its majorly a whole new anime original content which is not in the VN, aside from Okabe hugging Kurisu early in the ep and breaking down about Mayuri's death a bit alter, and Kurisu sending Okabe back to beta. In the VN Okabe dont even stay a night and didnt meet anyone else besides Kurisu, and i think the content of the D-Mail kurisu sent in the VN is different than in the anime
Krisna Not shown. Implied Kurisu creates a controversy about A.I and humanity which stops Amadeus from being finished. If It's the case it would lead to Kagari's ending but I have doubts about whether they're going to adapt it or not.
Zokuva The D-Mail "Dont come in" was supposed to prevent Kurisu entering / delay her entering the door when Okabe about to delete the echelon data, it seems the cause of Okabe cancelling to hack and delete echelon data in this Alpha worldline in S;G 0 ep8 is Kurisu entered before Okabe manage to press enter, unlike in the original anime where Kurisu enters few seconds after Okabe pressed it.
Dammit, right in my damn right and feels. Man. This is why I have a love/hate relationship with Steins: Gate 0. I love the plot and everything about it. But damn the feels. I don't know if my heart can take anymore.

After watching Steins Gate I’ve always read how amazing SG 0 was but I’ve never read the VN, damn they were fucking right this anime is awesome I can’t wait for the rest of the episodes

Hmm ok, so in this worldline, Kurisu enter the room before Okabe hit the enter button that would change the world line. But how did Okabe from SG0 got here in the first place?
Let me explain: The reason for the divergence/D-mail, and why Kurisu told herself to wait, was so Okabe would miss her confession, and he could return to his original worldline with Miyuri and forget about her, and be happy.

this is too beautiful....
Never played this since a year ago but damn it hits so hard everytime. My depression is back
Thanks I needed this!
i come to watch this everyday
When you know the number is different in SG:0 and Original SG so you keep thinking overnight what about to change and make you can't sleep...
Every worldline is different
Here's my attempt at explaining this:
There are 3 Okabes.
Wich life is the real one he lives, and he based on?
I mean wich Okabe is The Furthest (end)
Kurisu, she's smart, trying to fix everything in one go, sends Okabe back to Mayuri and takes herself to another Okabe, but can't.
I just realized how Sad this is oh my Lord KURISU WHY?!
It's right
@@kaio4798 thanks bro!
And remember Steins Gate's word line :3
Oh wow my brain 🤯
@@yotsuba361 right? so damn confusing but when you get it, the feels is just.......
Thank you for giving my crippling depression back
So beautiful and sad =(
I like how Okabe's speech goes with the song.
is it bad that this made me tear up again
It would be bad if it didn't mate.
I need to stop doing this to myself
I feel soooo sad when i watched this because it reminded me of a masterpiece😭
This is so hard to watch I'm gonna cry again :(
feels
FYI:
IN S;G 0 ep 8 its majorly a whole new anime original content which is not in the VN, aside from Okabe hugging Kurisu early in the ep and breaking down about Mayuri's death a bit alter, and Kurisu sending Okabe back to beta. In the VN Okabe dont even stay a night and didnt meet anyone else besides Kurisu, and i think the content of the D-Mail kurisu sent in the VN is different than in the anime
Xso Skeleton I still like what they did though. Gave Daru more personality.
in the anime the message was "Don't come in. "
what in the VN?
Krisna Not shown. Implied Kurisu creates a controversy about A.I and humanity which stops Amadeus from being finished. If It's the case it would lead to Kagari's ending but I have doubts about whether they're going to adapt it or not.
and there is no divergence between 1.07 to 1.10 in the VN except for one ending, yet in the anime Kurisu sends Okabe to 1.09...
Zokuva
The D-Mail "Dont come in" was supposed to prevent Kurisu entering / delay her entering the door when Okabe about to delete the echelon data, it seems the cause of Okabe cancelling to hack and delete echelon data in this Alpha worldline in S;G 0 ep8 is Kurisu entered before Okabe manage to press enter, unlike in the original anime where Kurisu enters few seconds after Okabe pressed it.
Dammit, right in my damn right and feels. Man. This is why I have a love/hate relationship with Steins: Gate 0. I love the plot and everything about it. But damn the feels. I don't know if my heart can take anymore.
Did I time travel back to the time I was crying?
Man, this video gave me an itch to convince somebody new to watch steins gate. Sadly I've run out if people I can tell to watch it...
Looks like I need to make even more friends 🙁
DAAAAMN this scene was just explained in SGZero
GREAT CUT!
U tryna make me cry at December?
Too bad i’m a,ready crying!
KURISUTIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNAAAAAA!!
Thanks, you just broke my heart.... Again... * Cries *
*the divergence number is Different bcuz in the episode 22 Okabe will choose Kurisu bcuz she confessed and now the divergence number has changed bcuz Okabe will choose Mayuri bcuz kurisu hasn't confessed... and this creats 2 different worldlines a worldline where Mayuri is alive nd other one wher Kurisu is Alive thats pretty much it*
Aaaaaaaand I'm crying again. FUCKING HELL IT'S SO, SO DAMN SAD! WHEN WILL THE SUFFERING END
thought I was over this, but guess who's crying again
If she was just 2 seconds later with the door then episode 22 would have happened.
press 8 while watching for endless suffering
After watching Steins Gate I’ve always read how amazing SG 0 was but I’ve never read the VN, damn they were fucking right this anime is awesome I can’t wait for the rest of the episodes
its to early for this T^T how do you expect me to go to work after this and function like a human beinggg
I think I need something like this, but with the episode 23 of Steins;Gate and "Missing Link". My brother's still saying that in Missing Link, Suzuha is shorter than the Suzuha from the episode 23 where shows the true ending, but I'm not sure if it's true or not.
Something went wrong... i don't remember that convergence from the end of ep8 on the VN at this time. Prepare your PepeHands for next episode
Hmm ok, so in this worldline, Kurisu enter the room before Okabe hit the enter button that would change the world line. But how did Okabe from SG0 got here in the first place?
Okabe SG0 got teleported by Russian experiment of time machine at Vladivostok (in tv the reporter said earthquake)
this episode's sole purpose was to break your heart. mine broke.
crying alone again.........
Cried like a newborn baby
Thanks for this
