    Well explained yet again :) Also, thanks for the laughs. Btw, when you get chance, check out OMAR, the male bellydancer who is awesome. There are a few videos on line where he performs in a restaurant in NJ from back in 2001.

    When the Egyptian figure 8 gets to the back, is the hip supposed to be level or will naturally be slightly upward?

      Great question, so the hips might be a little tight at first when they get to the back but the more comfortable and familiar you get with the move it will be easier to stay on that level playground (parallel to the floor) Keep working on it, it will come. This a very common mistake that many bellydancers still do.
