I am from Toronto Canada, we have a Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre in Toronto Canada.

So many interesting places in Japan. Nagoya is centrally located but feels like a "flyover" state in the US? Maybe a bit neglected? Nagoya castle's theme characters look fun. Wondering about the reasons for the reconstruction of the castle, so will head to Wikipedia for that. (Edit: The rebuild will be in wood like the original. Nagoya is the 3rd largest city in Japan. According to Wikipedia, the Nagoya area is one of the 50 largest urban areas in the world. So, I wouldn't consider Nagoya to be like a "flyover" state. That being said, it seems like Nagoya is a great city to visit.
In April 2017, I traveled to Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture for 2 nights. While I passed through Nagoya on the way there, I didn't get a chance to explore Nagoya. The people in the video are friendly, and it was fun to watch them show you around the castle.

Well. For part of my year abroad Im staying a university called nanzen in Nagoya. Admittedly i know nothing about nagoya.. i mainly chose the uni for the host family option! Guess i should start watching other vids! Thanks

@@dukemydogy I guess for the University, it depends on the department and what you're used to from your home country or even other guest-universities. The people are nice, my host family was really lovely
That looked like a lot of fun. Although, I have to admit that I was surprised to see the ninja since I think they usually remain hidden. Perhaps they weren't real ninja. And to be honest, I never really thought about ninja eating snacks. Maybe this leads to other questions, like what do ninja do on their days off? Where do they take vacations? What is their favorite comfort food? What sort of weird hide-and-seek games do they play with their kids? The deer surprised me. Do they all live down there? Or do they just go down to feed in what looks like a beautiful meadow?
Did many people talk to the ninjas?. like... it didnt seem like there was much of audience when they did their ninja show. Or was there not many people there during that time and day.

They offered to hang out with me for the video (since they weren’t meant to be performing while Tokugawa Ieyasu was performing...I mean... giving a speech!?) but depending on the day you’ll see them there doing performances for the crowd as well!
