Haha it's so cute you were shy around the ''feudal lord''! I would be too. It's awesome that the actors are so invested in the characters... very admirable!
Hahah loved the note of *at a loss for how to respond in polite Japanese because he's a FEUDAL LORD. Everyone there seemed so great, those tour guide ninjas were really fun!
Next time Im going to japan i will go to nagoya for sure! You make me wanna travel more and spend time talking to local people there and enjoy it even more! Thank you!!!
Too bad all the vloggers I folow bring up so many interesting places and I can only spend a limited time on my vacation :'( . But thanks to Micaela and Sharla I am spending a few days traveling around Shikoku next time I'm in Japan. Last year I stayed in the big cities, this year I want to venture outside of them.
Hi! Micaela. How are you? I like all you're videos here on You Tube. I am very interesting Japanese Ninja lot. I do own Ninja Jika - Tabi, Tabi socks. I study History of Japan. I study Ninja, Samurai too. This look like lots of fun. I want to learn Ninja. I did take Judo lessons when I was a teenager in 80s. I never been to Japan. I am from Toronto Canada, we have a Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre in Toronto Canada.
Another really well put together video. There's a fantastic balance between your life, the area your visiting, and detailed information about what you're showing. Looking forward to upcoming videos!
My favorite thing about this is about all the Ninja or samurai recreating the acts or practices and I’m looking to see the history of Feudal Japan or the Edo period orrrr the Sengoku Jidai :3 Love your Videos!!!
I truly love your videos. I was so happy to see a new one today. Thanks so much! Wow, that castle and ninjas were amazing! And the tofu ice cream looked amazing! Wish they had that in Pennsylvania! :)
So many interesting places in Japan. Nagoya is centrally located but feels like a "flyover" state in the US? Maybe a bit neglected? Nagoya castle's theme characters look fun. Wondering about the reasons for the reconstruction of the castle, so will head to Wikipedia for that. (Edit: The rebuild will be in wood like the original. Might be finished by 2022) Looking forward to the rest of the video series. Thanks for your hard work!👍
Nagoya is the 3rd largest city in Japan. According to Wikipedia, the Nagoya area is one of the 50 largest urban areas in the world. So, I wouldn't consider Nagoya to be like a "flyover" state. That being said, it seems like Nagoya is a great city to visit.
In April 2017, I traveled to Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture for 2 nights. While I passed through Nagoya on the way there, I didn't get a chance to explore Nagoya. The people in the video are friendly, and it was fun to watch them show you around the castle.
名古屋を拠点にした観光の提案ありがとうございます! 戦国時代好きな方にはオススメです👍 I highly recommend to stay Nagoya city who likes Sengoku era.Because there are many historical place connected them. You can see some marks of historical battles. there may be little English subtitles, but please try!
Ahhh I remember Hattori Hanzo from Kill Bill, so he was a real person! The tour guides are so cute! I really like how educational your videos are and am looking forward to the next one! Thanks for your effort and for sharing!!!
Thanks for the video--it's always great to see an upload, you are one of my favorite content creators. :) I wish I could sleep on planes--I can only doze for short amounts of time. :( This looked like a fun day trip-the ninja hosts were so energetic and fun! I hope all of your other ninja travels were as fun. Thanks again!
Well. For part of my year abroad Im staying a university called nanzen in Nagoya. Admittedly i know nothing about nagoya.. i mainly chose the uni for the host family option! Guess i should start watching other vids! Thanks
@@NIIoSHEA I really would love to know like. How the people are, if you made many friends, how your japanese improved.. the uni course.. like clubs all this stuff if possible! Thanks for any help at all :D
@@dukemydogy I guess for the University, it depends on the department and what you're used to from your home country or even other guest-universities. The people are nice, my host family was really lovely
That looked like a lot of fun. Although, I have to admit that I was surprised to see the ninja since I think they usually remain hidden. Perhaps they weren't real ninja. And to be honest, I never really thought about ninja eating snacks. Maybe this leads to other questions, like what do ninja do on their days off? Where do they take vacations? What is their favorite comfort food? What sort of weird hide-and-seek games do they play with their kids? The deer surprised me. Do they all live down there? Or do they just go down to feed in what looks like a beautiful meadow?
Did many people talk to the ninjas?. like... it didnt seem like there was much of audience when they did their ninja show. Or was there not many people there during that time and day.
Yes new video! Those ninjas were amazing haha, did you have to pay for them to be with you the whole time or was it sponsored since you made video of it? just wondering are they nornally hanging with just a few visitors or are they supposed to guide bigger groups of ppl🤔
They offered to hang out with me for the video (since they weren’t meant to be performing while Tokugawa Ieyasu was performing...I mean... giving a speech!?) but depending on the day you’ll see them there doing performances for the crowd as well!
these are some of the funniest and coolest ninjas I've seen in tourism videos, they look like anime characters but in real life
You are such an amazing ambassador for Japan’s hidden gems! This looked so much fun and so interesting too.
Thoose 3 Ninjas are the cutest bunch ever! xD
Heh! I laughed when you suddenly ran over to the killer whale kaju! :D
名古屋を紹介してくれてありがとうございます。“名古屋飛ばし”なんて言葉があるくらいなので、冒頭の提案は嬉しい言葉でした。(from 名古屋) Thank you.
Welcome to my hometown Nagoya! I'm living in Halifax!
Haha it's so cute you were shy around the ''feudal lord''! I would be too. It's awesome that the actors are so invested in the characters... very admirable!
I just realized that I was in Nagoya castle the same day. And I saw the ninja show there, it's awesome.
Very cool. Great performers. Loved that rush to check out the orca cookies.

I found out a couple of days ago I'm going to be studying in Nagoya for a year from Sept... good timing Micaela :p
Don't worry Micaela, I would have been nervous to speak to Tokugawa Ieyasu too 😂 Also, that Nagoya castle manju looked worth sprinting for! Haha ❤️

Now I see where Sentai gets inspiration from ;)

So, I assume that that was mid December 2018? I also wonder what the story behind Suiren's mask is. Seems a bit out of place for a ninja.
