- The Kubota RTV line of UTVs are a great utility workhorse for industrial sites, farms or wherever heavy hauling with dispatch reliability are desired. This 2014 RTV 900XT is just fresh out of industrial service and has the scars to show.
This is a quick video to show the detonation / spark arrestor that may become clogged up especially if the vehicle is left to idle for too long.
Subscribe and comment! Thanks for watching 😇
My 1100 RTV doesn’t go forward or reverse after i changed hydraulic oil and one hydraulic filter. Not the two in the back. Hydraulic oil in the tank is not reaching the dip stick. Would that be the problem? If anyone knows let me know.
I just bought a kubota rtv 1140 with 1500 hours, you have over 8000 hours. Makes me feel like I bought an almost new kubota. So far i really like it and hope to keep it forever, as a new owner of a used machine, I appreciate your tips
Thanks for the kind words. Amazing machines.......👍🏾😊
Thanks for the video, drilled out my spark arrestor, fixed the sluggish machine, speed up 35%, the temperature of the engine is now much lower. More power period...thank you
You’re most welcome!!!!
thanks so much for this video, I just drilled out this clogged spark arrestor and i have a new machine. speed 35% can climb grades in the high range previously had to downshift. Most important was the temperature dropped significantly
Just bought a 2007 RTV900 with 3100 hours - runs like a top! Good info about the spark arrestor!
You’re most welcome.....!
Wow, great overview; thanks for presenting. I just bought a used one, and your video among a few others are making me more comfortable about what I'm getting myself into; thank you so much!
Hey thanks for this. I did not know diesels had these
You need to replace your dust ejector. I’ll bet your outer surface filter gets dirty pretty quickly. If that isn’t sealed better, the air tries to enter their directly instead of coming through the entry point up higher.
The part is really inexpensive, and will also improve your performance and power by keeping the air cleaner element much cleaner.
Thanks a lot. Don’t really know what that is but will read up on it. Solid rig but can’t believe how expensive the rear shaft is....
@@abiez It’s under $10.00 and basically allows dirt and moisture out, but the “beak” keeps anything from getting sucked in.
With it open like that, it ducks in from that opening instead of using the intake higher up.
I And with this being right near the tires, it will suck in anything coming off from the tires. It’s the cheapest insurance you will ever buy for a Kubota.
@@abiez jump to 3:00 in my video.

As far as the drive shafts go, I’ve been really lucky, the front one just started rattling, and it’s a 2005.
@@JimsEquipmentShed Me too, 3100 hours and still going strong.
Hey do you have startup videos of your Kubota rtv 900
Just clean the screen and put it back in. No need to replace it unless it’s cracked.
Thanks 🙏🏿🚀
Ha Koehler no buddy Kubota Diesel engine lol
*Kohler
@@monroea-p.2218 Kubota the engine is not a kohler.
