The pain feels more like a really bad stomach ache. The pain comes and goes every few minutes. I went through the same experience back in 2007. I was about 13 years old at the time? And went 3 days suffering from that pain before going to a doctor. The only REAL way to know is by applying light pressure in the lower left abdomen area. When my doctor did that, I felt the sharp pain come through. I too had to go into emergency surgery and my doctor at the time looked me like I was some crazy 13 year old. And was shocked I made it 3 days and said my appendix was actually close to bursting. Called me crazy for waiting that long to go in to see him and then told me I could've died. She'll heal within a week of recovery! She's gotta take pain meds and wait for her slits to heal and get the all clear from the surgeon! She will be fine! 💖💖💖
I'm glad she's OK but sorry it's very dumb to ignore appendix pain. If it burst you're likely hood of surviving is 50/50 and the surgery and recovery is far more extensive vs having it removed before it burst. If you have any abnormal lower right abdominal pain go to ER to get a CT. It's not worth your life for something that you can live without and be in and out of hospital within a day.

Jeff Brown the pain can be anywhere. My surgeon had it in his upper left side. I had it and the pain wasn’t that bad. Whenever you have pain it’s a sign something is wrong so always get checked out.

She is very lucky to be alive. That could have killed her. I went two days in pain until the pain was too unbearable. I remember waking my mom up in the middle of the night, telling her to take me to the emergency room because I thought I was dying. I went straight to the operating room and right before surgery the doctor asked me why did I take so long to seek medical attention. I told him I just thought the pain would go away. He told me good thing l came to the hospital when I did because I would have never woke up the next day. Your appendix poisons your system when it ruptures.

I had my appendix removed when I was nine and the pain from the appendicitis was so bad that I was screaming like I was being tortured in a horror movie. Just recently, I learned from my mother that my appendix was so swollen and inflamed that had I waited another day to tell my grandma what was wrong with me; my appendix would have ruptured and I would be dead for sure. The surgery took about an hour to complete and my hospital stay was miserable for me because I was having to deal with copious amounts of blood work and I hated not being able to move as much as I would like because I was hooked up to two separate Intravenous drips. One IV line was delivering painkillers to keep the pain down to a dull ache and the other was delivering antibiotics to stave off the possibility of my appendix rupturing.

I work in an emergency dept. When we diagnose appendicitis, surgery is done immediately. An appendix could burst at anytime. Patients have died from a burst appendix. An inguinal hernia, or pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) have symptoms similar to appendicitis.

She might not have known, you are supposed to have pain for about a week before it gets to the stage where it could burst but sometimes you don't get the pain. I know because that happened to me, i ended up in pain and got taken to hospital where they asked if i had felt any pain before then and i told them no. Wow... She must’ve been in very good spirits before entering the show to want to perform and be around everyone and want to push through... I had appendicitis when I was 13. I couldn’t even sit or stand. I had to lay down because the pain was so bad. I can’t believe she was able to perform and talk while dealing with appendicitis. Usually it takes 2-8 weeks for someone to recover from the surgery. I’m not sure how she is coming back to work on Monday but I wish her a great recovery. She is a very strong woman. I’m in awe.

Appendicitis is no joke. I couldn’t walk because mine was so bad and it ended up bursting causing me to become super sick. It required emergency surgery and a 2 week stay in the hospital. Kelly is one tough lady.

She sang through a few episodes of American idol with bronchitis and she WON the show!! She is a champion!!!!
I remember when she sang Surrender on idol she had bronchitis she still completely nailed the song. Kelly Clarkson has a gift she can nail any song no matter what she was doing through. That is why she is one of my music hero's.

She is an entertainer, I love her sing and entertain, what she does in her private life is not my concern. It was just an observation. Just a thought. She is not a superhuman. She had tremendous pain. You cannot be on your feet and sing in that much pain. You cannot even move from side to side. She could have been on the stage and burst her appendix. She took a risk.What is she teaching to young people?
To ignore the major pain/problem with health? You need you understand a lot of children and young adults looking up to her. If she can do it, I can do it. Just my thoughts. So you tell me. If you had tremendous pain.
1. Rush to see a doctor?

Kelly Clarkson is such a Queen! She loves her fans, job, and especially what she does!! She absolutely adores performing! Good thing she's okay now though, and a good thing also that nothing else bad happened to her. Thank you god 🙏🏼

In 1982,I almost died from from a bursting appendix. Thank God I went to the E.R.,where they took me to emergency surgery. Blessings to you Kelly,heal well!

I truly hope she was not at high-risk of that appendix bursting. That'd be a crazy risk to have taken.
Wow, as someone who has suffered from appendicitis I truely don't understand how she walked around with that for a week, she must have been in so much pain!

I had appendicitis when I was 13. I couldn’t even sit or stand. I had to lay down because the pain was so bad. I can’t believe she was able to perform and talk while dealing with appendicitis.
Usually it takes 2-8 weeks for someone to recover from the surgery. I’m not sure how she is coming back to work on Monday but I wish her a great recovery. She is a very strong woman. I’m in awe.

It shouldn't be praised or rewarded... It's stupid to go through that much pain, it takes a toll on your body. The appendix can rupture causing you to die. She isn't smart for pushing through it, I know that pain, I knew something was wrong, I didn't care how long I'd be out of work, me comes first. Always take care of your body, you only get 1.

Appendicitis is no joke. I couldn’t walk because mine was so bad and it ended up bursting causing me to become super sick. It required emergency surgery and a 2 week stay in the hospital. Kelly is one tough lady.

You rock Kelly clarkson! I had that when I was younger, it took a week before I got mine out we thought was period pains cause it was not a ton of pain till I could hardly walk and I was in tears. Just a few more hours and mine would have burst too.

I couldn't imagine pushing through that pain. I'm a pretty tough person but wow when my appendix started acting up, my God the pain was horrific. Worst pain ever!!! Child birth wasn't even as bad. I am so happy that she is okay!!!!
