There’s never been anything unique about him other than his parkour and being a forgotten tough enough winner. But the E (JR-Judge) didn't let him to the next round because they thought he just wanted to get famous and use the wrestling biz as a vehicle to get into hollywood. He shows up at TE 2 again saying he is in it for the long run. JR didn't want to let him go , but they'd give him a shot, again cut because they thought he didn't really want to be a wrestler. Shows up again at TE3 , and actually wins it and became Johnny Nitro. 20 years later he's still in the business and laster longer than 95% of the contestants on that show. Just goes to show you how perception in this industry is so out of touch with reality. The guy can go and made Bud Bunny look like a Million bucks at Mania. I think when AEW looks to expand into the West Coast market next year.. Johnny Dynamite should be their guy to reach out to the West Coast AEW fans.

I had the pleasure of meeting him around 2013, just after his first run with wwe. He was extremely welcoming. Stood up to pose in our matching t shirts and glasses for a picture he gave to me for free. Chatted with me for a good 10 minutes, Shook my hand and thanked me for being his fan. I realized then that he didn’t care if he was in the worlds biggest wrestling promotion or a community centre performing in front of a hundred fans. He’s there for us. So much respect for this man. I hope he finds contentment in whatever he seeks out next. 😎

John Morrison was a character that WWE could do anything with just like Sami Zayn. He doesn't shy away from anything. But, they managed to fuck this one up.
Never really understood it too. He is everything a wrestling company would be asking for. Great athletic and acrobatic skills, doesn't mind to be a heel, excellent on the mic, I don't really care about that but for people who care, he's also very well built. Hope he will be continuing in AEW.

I’ve been a John Morrison fan Since 2010. I’m sure John will be just fine wherever he ends up. NJPW, NWA, AEW, Impact, AAA, doesn’t matter. He’ll just continue doing what he loves doing. Which is wrestling.
I haven't seen a wrestler like John Morrison. -He had the look(hair, smile, body) -He had the the flexibility -He could play a heel very well(MNM & Miz and Morrison) -He had the potential to be a face but never really had a big push(except when he was ECW champion)
Morrison once came through one of our local Indys, put over one of our guys even though he was never coming back and then hung out with 10 dudes in a room, watching bad wrestling, smoking a bit of hash and talking about how much we love pro wrestling. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more sweet, sincere and good dude than John fucking Morrison.
I remember he lost the ECW title to Punk super early (they were gonna have his run apparently last til March of 2008) because he failed a Drug Test for THC. Like, bro... come on. It's just weed. He doesn't perform while high nor does he flop moves. He's a professional and they really ruined his ECW title run over some weed.

When I started watching wrestling he was the man who made me love wrestling The 2011 run the whole parkour stuff etc... Then I watch this guy's indy matches, his interviews, his Lucha Underground and Impact Wrestling career... Dude was always kept things cool, always the professional. He never criticize any of his old wrestling fedarations... Even when he need to criticize. For example Austin Aries no sold his big moment but he didn't complain he didn't criticize the guy. He is not like CM Punk. Don't get me wrong I really like Punk but he criticize too many people and yes Punk is right about most of his WWE Stuff. But Johnny never criticize any wrestling federation because he always wanted to be back in WWE and always wanted to keep good relationships with every past federation he ever been in. But first time in 10 years I saw this guy lost his cool. First time I see him emotional and angry. Yes he doesn't shows much but it's the first time I saw him get emotional since Shad's death so yeah he is really pissed of. I am really sad to see him like this. And by watching this guy for 10 years I am really sad because his potential really wasted. In 10 years he evolved in so many ways his moveset, in ring storytelling, even promos are much much better. Don't believe me watch his Lucha Underground run with World Wide Underground. He was a heel stable member who had a gimmick like Johnny Cage from Mortal Kombat whom you love to hate and it worked.He was a legit Main Eventer in that company. He can be really entertaining when used correctly.
And most important, at Lucha Underground, he got to be a storyteller. I'm still kind of confused about why, in a post-kayfabe world, story isn't treated as THE most important element.

Because the first run through, he had an attitude problem backstage, spurred on by Melina, who was his girlfriend at the time. He even went so far as the shit talk Sable over something between Melina and Sable. Vince doesn't look too highly on guys who trash company legends.

The parkour talent on this man is crazy. I hope he keeps that up. Also the amount if entertainment he gave us fans when we were much younger was crazy. I'll always cherish the battles he had with folks like Sheamus, John Cena and even The Miz.

-He had the look(hair, smile, body)
-He had the the flexibility
-He could play a heel very well(MNM & Miz and Morrison)
-He had the potential to be a face but never really had a big push(except when he was ECW champion)
Morrison once came through one of our local Indys, put over one of our guys even though he was never coming back and then hung out with 10 dudes in a room, watching bad wrestling, smoking a bit of hash and talking about how much we love pro wrestling. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more sweet, sincere and good dude than John fucking Morrison.
I remember he lost the ECW title to Punk super early (they were gonna have his run apparently last til March of 2008) because he failed a Drug Test for THC. Like, bro... come on. It's just weed. He doesn't perform while high nor does he flop moves. He's a professional and they really ruined his ECW title run over some weed.

I wonder what does it take to not get cut from a top tier wrestling promotion such as WWE. Even Nia Jax(the rocks cousin) got cut! Even family bloodlines don't protect you from getting cut. That universe seems very stressful. I can see why Shawn Michael struggled with drugs because the pressure was on him hardcore.

When I started watching wrestling he was the man who made me love wrestling The 2011 run the whole parkour stuff etc... Then I watch this guy's indy matches, his interviews, his Lucha Underground and Impact Wrestling career... Dude was always kept things cool, always the professional. He never criticize any of his old wrestling fedarations... Even when he need to criticize. For example Austin Aries no sold his big moment but he didn't complain he didn't criticize the guy. He is not like CM Punk. Don't get me wrong I really like Punk but he criticize too many people and yes Punk is right about most of his WWE Stuff. But Johnny never criticize any wrestling federation because he always wanted to be back in WWE and always wanted to keep good relationships with every past federation he ever been in. But first time in 10 years I saw this guy lost his cool. First time I see him emotional and angry. Yes he doesn't shows much but it's the first time I saw him get emotional since Shad's death so yeah he is really pissed of. I am really sad to see him like this. And by watching this guy for 10 years I am really sad because his potential really wasted. In 10 years he evolved in so many ways his moveset, in ring storytelling, even promos are much much better. Don't believe me watch his Lucha Underground run with World Wide Underground. He was a heel stable member who had a gimmick like Johnny Cage from Mortal Kombat whom you love to hate and it worked.He was a legit Main Eventer in that company. He can be really entertaining when used correctly.
And most important, at Lucha Underground, he got to be a storyteller. I'm still kind of confused about why, in a post-kayfabe world, story isn't treated as THE most important element.
