- Chapman students, and daughters of singer Peter Frampton and founding member of the Grateful Dead Bob Weir share what it’s like to grow up with fame, their thoughts on their fathers’ music, and how they manage to keep a normal, college life.
In Bobby’s defense, he often forgets his own lyrics too.
@Candice Elizabeth shh cmon now
@Candice Elizabeth i don't think anyone is denying the fucked up stories of the dead. but i don't recall any stories of bobby hurting anyone. sure, he had that affair with donna, and hanging around his wife when she was a teenager was kinda creepy, but we don't really know how any of that went down. we don't know what happens behind closed doors. and bobby and his wife seem happy, they've been together for years. their kids seem happy. if there was any pain caused by bobby it seems they've worked it out and moved on. to me, it just seems you are the hypocrite. you preach toxic masculinity and you have claimed yourself as some "savior of women", but really your just bashing a girls father. your bashing a family, a family of women. you claim Natasha should divorce her husband, your only bringing women down. i don't see you helping anyone. only spreading hate. if bobby and the band did spread hate, you are an extension of it. so chill out friend, listen to some grateful dead, and leave bobby alone.
@Candice Elizabeth but the issue is your claiming that the cheating and the hookups is enough for natasha and their kids to hate on bobby. but you don't know them, i mean there is a big difference between hurting someone and having sex with someone else. especially in grateful dead world. you have no idea how natasaha feels about bobby and sex, you are really just stating your opinion that its disrespectful. maybe natasha doesn't see it as disrespectful. sure, maybe if he was abusing her and she was like "yeah this is ok" then something would be fucked up. but honestly, if bobby cheated on her and she was like "yeah this is ok" id be like "alright, yall do u ". but the fact is, we don't know. you have no idea how their family operates, you have no idea how they view relationships or tradition or values or commandments. you have no idea how they feel. so i say, if their not hurting anyone, leave them alone. you are not standing up for women cause you don't even know if they need your help. they simply are women, just living. if anything your attacking the women just trying to live their lives. i am actually standing up for them now. you are the enemy.
@Candice Elizabeth who are you to decide what is ethical and what isn't? this isn't even just about musicians, these are people. and its not about free passes, its about doing what you want if it doesnt hurt your family or anyone else, emotionally and physically. its called "don't stand up for someone who aint sittin down"
@Candice Elizabeth god you're the real tool
Bob and Pete can be very proud of these young ladies. They both seem to be very grounded and open minded. Go figure, right?
Supposed to be the evil spawn of those rock and rollers ..... Beautiful kids .
Pretty good questions too eh?
“This one guy Django...”. Hahahaha!!!
daughters of legends....amazing! Grateful Dead has been a big inspiration in my life.....proudly hang an oil painting of bobby in my kitchen. rock on girls!
Long live the Dead
melonhead34. The Dead will always live because the Dead will never die.
Bob and Peter have raised wonderful daughters. Way to go!
Interesting vid, cool to watch. They both resemble their dads, especially Monet. It was like looking at Bob, from the late '60s/early '70s! They both seem like intelligent, well adjusted gals. I've seen the Dead many times and saw Peter Frampton once(with B.B.King). I dig both artists. They oughta have Weir's daughter doing an interview with Jerry's daughter. Ty for uploading. And ty, Mia and Monet. Your're both very attractive, too. Best wishes.
i would watch that. i love keelin, she is such a down to earth sweetheart. i have never had any interactions with any of jerrys other children
monet hit the genetic lottery. she is stunning.
damn straight
I love Bob, but how in the world did he produce THAT?!
Both of their dads covered" I don't need no doctor"
Django Reinhardt was big in the first part of the last century, and was a big influence on a lot of musicians. If you wanted some recent Country music to listen to, you might like Sierra Hull. She's been an excellent musician for a long time, since she was a kid. She's not that commercial glitter-pop country that makes money these days. I hope the families are doing okay.
Love this video!
Who wouldn't know that someone by the name of Frampton could very possibly be somebody famous
Yeah I like this interview I have similar taste to money’s I don’t like modern country I only like old country I also don’t like pop much and I listen to Grateful Dead a lot so I agree with her on a lot of stuff and smart to stay away from people who wants to just hangout because of her father’s fame
I hate modern country I love the spaced out cowboy stuff from the early 70s. The Byrds,Youngbloods,New Riders of the Purple Sage.
Very professional young women.
Um um like you know like um our dads were like so um you know like cool in their day. Like you know?
Weir is a true Warlock
Wow, Bob's daughter is gorgeous.
Completely agree with the country comments. New country is complete crap. Country music from 70s and earlier is awesome.
Guys, are we not going to talk about the sikh artifacts behind the ladies?!
O lord Peter's daughter doesn't know who django Reinhardt was....sigh
I knew who my parents' favorites were I just didn't like sinatra and ella Fitzgerald and tony Bennett and big band music. I was listening to the Dead and Peter Frampton and led Zeppelin and the Beatles and the Roling Stones etc. in High school and college. Then I hit my mid 20s and I fell in love with my parents' music too......and Miles Davis and Charlie parker AND DJANGO REINHARDT (thank you peter) lol
Like, how many times can you like, say Like?
Uh, uh, about as many times as you’d say “uh” in an interview.
@@marshallgoldberg8376 is H Cat Justin Turdeau? Because he says uh more than anyone on earth when asked for a unrehearsed answer.
Holy moly
Enjoyed this but there was something, highly unusual, whereby Monet Weir virtually didn't look at Mia Frampton while answering her questions.
Most peculiar..lol
I understand. I wish you were my friend , in real life because I used to ask this shy girl to get as close as possible to my face and look me in the eye and after a few awkward attempts she blossomed and became a confident Women , even " arrogant" at times...lol
Frampton girl can talk
Um....um....um....and um...
This one guy Django that is hilarious!
That was cute !
they’re too old to be cute! They are both lovely young women.
GD 4 EVER 😊
What are you talking about Monet? Your dad is Country"REAL COUNTRY"! I agree about new country, it's CRAP!
"this one guy Django". OMG seriously Mia? Know your music / guitar history
Really everyone knows that Django was a slave who could really kick ass LOL
@@arlenmargolin1650 this is about Django Reinhardt
Hey Monet, have you seen the clips of your dad hanging out on the Festival Express train? 🤪 Any thoughts?
I've seen her old man fall flat on his back live on stage. He kept playing though.
@@harrysachs2274 yeah?
It was a Further show. Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/mPPVFx8vaPo/v-deo.html

@@harrysachs2274 I miss Ratdog
@@dahbay5801 I miss The Grateful Dead, circa 1983
Greatful Dead ...WEIRD ? no way !
Hi Monet Sweetie 🌹🌹
😍😙
At the level, your parents are at people name dropping their names…
I'm pretty sure his "stuff" is classic iconic music that will be with us forever. Your "stuff", I'm not so sure.
Considering Bob's "stuff" has its own channel on satellite radio, I would have to agree.
Somebody please tell me what is "young country"? Name it and why is it so horrible? Is Brad Paisley, Vince Gill, Travis Tritt, Alan Jackson, and DixieChicks and the like in this category? Do you know how many people have told me they hate the Grateful Dead and how horrible they are? You know why? Cuz they hate "Country"
I think they mean like Florida Georgia line and stuff like that if I had to guess
Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, etc. You know, like all the garbage that the "pop country" stations play.
Boring!
Annoying
Bobby's a groomer
Im old enough to be their father and their father's are my father's age so it doesnt surpirse me that they dont "get" the music. it IS werid to me that they dont know (particularly mia) the timeframe of their dad's trajectories....Frampton wasnt really anything until the mid 70s and then he was IT. Monet's dad was in, literally, the greatest American touring rock band of all time and their exploits are and will be legendary forever whether you like them or not.
this one guy Django lol
