Yes it has been sad to see the enshittification of it. I really miss Western anime/otaku/JRPG culture of this period as embarrassing as a lot of it is in hindsight. People can try to recreate it now but it's not the same and if anything it's a bit annoying seeing their takes on this stuff. When I was younger I didn't like the general "normies ruin everything" misanthropy of some places but now I understand it a lot more.

That does not matter. The song has to be almost fully edit to be legit. Shakira got into a lot of group when she stole a portion for Jerry Rivera's song: The hips don't lie. I do not know if she was forgiven or not, but she lost some sales.
