I just can't believe this man is 57 , has just beaten cancer , is singing like a god in best metal band ever and is flying this beast all over the world . My god what a man he is !

It's my home city. I remember that day as it was just yesterday. I was there at the observation area inside the main terminal, recording its take off, among dozens - probably near a hundred - of other people watching her go and chanting "Ole, ole, ole ole! Maiden! Maiden!"
It was the most gigantic, beautiful and mighty aircraft my eyes have ever seen so far. Wish I can see you again anyday. =)

Eu só tenho a agradecer a esta banda.. foi minha trilha sonora pela primeira vez aos 13 anos e nunca mais saiu das minhas playlists desde que comecei a ouvir... E vê-los em solo cearense foi a melhor coisa que já aconteceu em minha vida. Só quem é fã de verdade sabe o que estou dizendo. Foram quase 8 anos de campanha lutando, negociando, tentado de todas as formas trazê-los para cá. E conseguimos. Chorei o show quase inteiro.. e não tenho vergonha de dizer isso, até porque é muita infantilidade de alguém resumir a masculinidade de um homem em um simples pranto emocional. Ainda mais pra mim, que já começou o choro um dia antes.. rsrsrss
Mesmo saindo a triste notícia do acidente do Ed Force One, os fãs cearenses não perderam a fé, depositaram toda sua confiança nos técnicos para conseguirem consertá-lo a tempo de pousar no aeroporto de Fortaleza. E assim foi. Presenciei de perto essa façanha. O número de pessoas foi uma surpresa enorme nesse aeroporto. Nunca se tinha visto antes uma banda ser tão bem recebida aqui (ainda mais de rock, que não é o gênero predominante, infelizmente). Vários olhos voltados para o horizonte, milhares de celulares prontos para registrar o momento da chegada do tão esperado (e recém concertado) Ed Force One. Eis que ele surge entre as nuvens.. Pessoas dos bairros vizinhos ao aeroporto gritavam animadamente, pois conseguiam ver antes de nós (que estávamos do lado de dentro, limitados às janelas de vidro). O avião pousa, para o delírio da galera. Desesperados, corremos para a parte de desembarque, esperando alguém da banda aparecer... e nada. Lógico que eles não sairiam por ali.. rsrsrss Mas mesmo assim, valeu cada segundo.
Como se não bastasse para mim ver a chegada triunfal da banda no aeroporto, não consegui me conter e decidi de última hora tentar ver alguém do Maiden mais de perto. Fui no hotel em que estavam hospedados. Fiquei de 10 da manhã até as 14h, esperando, pacientemente, no sol quente, apenas com uma caneta, um vinil duplo do Live After Death para ser autografado, e o celular para uma possível foto com um deles. E a medida que o tempo ia passando, em vez de as pessoas irem embora para se prepararem para o show mais tarde, aparecia era mais gente. Quando o porteiro do hotel viu a aglomeração já tinha entendido o que nós queríamos. Procurou o roadie da banda, falou com ele, o mesmo saiu umas 3x para olhar o movimento na entrada do hotel e entrou. Quando ele saiu novamente, veio acompanhado de Mr. Nicko McBrain, este sorrindo muito e sendo simpático (como sempre) com todos. Nos organizamos, formamos uma fila e conseguimos mais um feito. Eu, após tirar a foto, autografar meu vinil e dar um bom abraço nele, dei a vez para os demais que estavam atrás de mim. Agradeci até o roadie, dando dois tapinhas no ombro dele. E ele, muito mal encarado, gigante, apenas respondeu acenando a cabeça positivamente para mim. Preciso dizer que não consegui segurar o choro depois disso??? Fui para casa ouvindo Iron Maiden no volume máximo e passando a mão no rosto pra evitar de minha vista ficar embaçada (porque estava dirigindo), devido as lágrimas não pararem de cair. Muitos não foram no dia do show, pela manhã. Na noite anterior, alguns fãs passaram na beira mar por uma sorveteria conhecida aqui (50 sabores) e avistaram lá dentro ninguém menos que Steve Harris, "o patrão", que ao ver os fãs desesperados para tirar uma foto, simplesmente realizou o sonho de todos e registrou os momentos. Até um policial que estava em serviço foi contemplado com uma foto.
Vai caindo a noite e o Estádio Castelão cada vez mais cheio. Entra a banda de abertura The Raven Age (formada pelo filho do "patrão"). Conseguiram puxar os primeiros gritos de energia na primeira hora de apresentação. Após sua performance, entra uma das BIG 4 do Thrash, Anthrax, fazendo um concerto fora de sério e deixando a galera cada vez mais ansiosa para o grande espetáculo. Começa a tocar Doctor Doctor, playback que antecede a intro dos shows do Maiden há um bom tempo. Quando a trilha se encerra, apagam-se as luzes e começa o show. Daí em diante foi só alegria e prantos, desde If Eternity Should Fail até o encerramento com Wasted Years, pois já sabíamos através dos setlists (divulgados nas redes sociais) que estava no fim. Foram as duas horas mais rápidas da minha vida. Nunca uma emoção tão forte pôde ser sentida como naquelas velozes duas horas. Abracei meus amigos que estavam próximos e finalmente comemoramos no dia 24 de março de 2016 o tão sacrificado, esperado, comentado e, por que não, sofrido show do IRON MAIDEN. Agradeço à organizadora e a todos que ajudaram a proporcionar esse evento aqui e esperamos um novo show na capital cearense em breve. E obrigado, Iron Maiden, muito obrigado.

Fantastic this was.....I respect Bruce so much for enduring the pilot status, not an easy task. My grandfather built two-seater home built aircraft and he is no longer with us, but seeing an amazing artist as is Bruce taking the reigns and all that he has accomplished.....just amazing. I read his book and cannot forget the memoir from the book about flying with only controls and not being able to see......I respect that so much. Cheers from San Antonio, TX!

It's really amazing how small the cockpit of a 747-400 is. I uses to clean them for Delta and was shocked that my fathers suv was more spacious.

Yep. at 2.30 they also say "AD 666 switching to (sometning)" That is when they leave the visual ariport tower control and go to radar control.
I think their squawk code is 666, which isnt their call sign, but a code assigned to them by radar
Squawk have 4 numbers and its given you by the controler ;)

The lead singer of the band flies the 747 to their gigs. Its like somethig out of a comic book, no one would believe you if you told them
Nice Video Captain!Just one thing: from SBFZ to SBGR doesn't matter which airways you select, you won't get anywhere near the Amazon river or the Amazon rainforest, both of which lie a couple of hours flight directly WEST from SBFZ.Since you flew directly south from there, you were basically getting farther and farther away from the Amazon, over an area known for the extreme drought. But I'm sure you knew that.
