- The moment after Ikaika left the group and the other four guys decided they wanted Dan Miller to join the group and become part of O-Town.
This clip is from Season 1 of "Making The Band" (2000).
"Making the Band" was an ABC/MTV reality television series created by Lou Pearlman, the man responsible for the formation of the Backstreet Boys and the early management of *NSYNC. It started on March 25, 2000 on ABC. Pearlman embarked on a nationwide talent search, cutting auditions in eight cities down to 25 young men, and eventually eight finalists. These eight young men would, as the premise for a new ABC reality show, compete for five spots in Pearlman's newest boy band creation named "O-Town", to be signed to his record label, Transcontinental Records. The five guys who became O-Town were: Ashley Parker Angel, Jacob Underwood, Dan Miller, Erik-Michael Estrada and Trevor Penick.

Yet Dan is best singer out of all of them. Glad they picked him.

Dan is one of my favorite members of O-town he is just sot cute and so much talent I am so glad he is a part of the group he is from Ohio and I have family in Ohio

Honestly...I never understood how Dan didn't make the group in the first place. He was better than Ikaka in EVERY way, better dancer, better attitude better singer, hell, his look even fit the group better.

This was made while the issues with BSB and Nsync vs Lou were going down in courts. I thought Ikaika's brother was being extra or something. But he saw something that he just didn't like about Lou at all.
I can’t believe Dan was picked last, he has the best voice of that group. lol

Lou was, for a long time, very well-respected, back before it came to light just how big of a scammer he was. Hard to believe now that it took as long as it did to expose him for what he really was.
Ironically the smartest one was Ikaika. I remember they all made fun of his older brother, making fun of the way he talked. Ikaika's family hired a lawyer to actually look at the contract. Years later the boys realized how screwed up that contract really was. Instead of being distracted by the glitz and the glam, the parties, etc Ikaika saw through it while the others just signed away. At the time NSYNC told everyone how much Pearlman screwed them over, it was staring them in the face.
Nope. Trevor said they all had lawyers look at the contracts and knew they were bad they signed anyway.

That's why Paul dipped out. Lance told him what was up. If Paul had not quit he probably would have made it over Trevor.
Well that's true but karma is a bitch and Lou got what he deserved. Still these guys are making amazing music and i must say that Dan realy is the perfect fit. Ikaika just was'nt ready yet and chose his family which is very very humble of him and he was very lucky he had a Brother that protected him so well.

i wish o-town hadn't broken up!!! They were sooooooooo good!!! Not to mention good-looking!! Ashley fan all the way :D Love his solo stuff but an O-Town fan at heart :D Saw em in concert...best show ever!
lyndyb88 good news! The guys are back as a foursome since 2014 (Ashley is not part of the group). Their third album, Lines & Circles, is excellent. Also, the group is back with a new EP and are touring the United States and Canada... look up their Facebook page for more details :)

Man I remember this show. Fun to watch but everyone of these guys do not have a career after all their hard work. Ikaka made a good move ditching this crap. The boyband era was quite a phenomenon.
