Been using sealing wax since I was a kid. You can sprinkle a little of the mica powders from last week in the melted wax. You can also stamp the seal onto a pigment ink stamp pad before placing on the wax. This creates color in the background of the seal behind the raised parts of the stamp. Use seals to attach the tags to your presents, use as a focal for decorating top of presents, seal goodie bags, seal the tissue paper shut in your gift boxes(this is better done with adhesive on a cool seal), adhere tags and decorative string to your wine bottles. Lots and lots of ways to use sealing wax besides sealing envelopes.
I am smiling because I still have my wax seals from the 70's or 80's! You have inspired me to dig these out of storage!!!
Love that you don't edit!!!! Proves that you are human like the rest of us!!!!
OMG is right!!! Memories of days gone by!!!!!!!
How beautiful are those waxed seals and accompanying dies. A lost art!!!!
Boy, Stacey when you let your mind go you make crafting interesting. Somehow you reminded me that I have trays and trays of the old sizzlets shapes and letter sets (that were made for the sidekick) that I haven't used for a few years when I was doing a lot of scrapbooking. I have a lot of ideas for reusing them, so thanks.
Stacey, you are brilliant! I love how you can figure out other ways to do things. Not only does that give us choices, but it makes it possible to do something we didn't think we could do. I love watching your videos and learning from you. And I especially love the fantastic products you bring to us at a discounted price. Thank you!
We have come a long way from when I melted candles for my seals as a pre teen. Thank you for calling my name and the $25. I'm singing and my daughter comes running. She will be more than happy to help me spend the money. Love you all.
This was a super Saturday with Stacey for sure! All the samples are fabulous! Stunning and gorgeous! Yes Stacey is a genius and yes MR. SMS knows it too! 🎉
This looks like an absolutely perfect mindfulness craft....I could definitely get calmness in creating these gorgeous wax seals. Can't wait to get playing!!!!!!!
Congrats to the winners. Everyone did a great job with the samples. Very nice class Stacey. There is so much you can do with wax seals. Happy Birthday. 🎂 =^^=
Oh my gosh I am so excited “Squeal “!!! I loved this UA-cam so much. These dies are amazing. Cant wait to receive my order. Oh and Stacey you are amazing too. While watching this. The wheels in my head were churning and churning. Asking myself “what if you did this, and what if you do that?” I really can’t wait to play with these. I haven’t been this excited in a very long time. So thank you Stacey, thank you for your passion you share each week with us. The samples for today were fabulous. James did one terrific job on his. It was super!
It’s amazing how true the old saying is “What’s old is New again”. Thank you for a fun class.
I’m 75 and I also like to think outside the box. You young lady are amazing ❤. Happy Belated 🎂 thanks!
I have always loved sealing wax and stamps, but am also leary of candles. Using the heat gun to melt the wax is genius in my book and a tool I already own. Win, win. Thank you Stacey. The video would have been worth watching if for only that tip, but you give us so much more. Again thank you so much.
What fun these wax seals are!!!!! The dies are also stunning. Totally awesome, Stacey!
Had so much fun watching today's class. I've purchased a few seals years ago but I never really used them. This was such a great kick in the backside to get them out and with my order today, many I just had to have, I need to get busy. You've widened the horizon and whether the manufacturers like it or not, I love your take on how to use them. Bravo! By the way, James your card was stunning.
They looked simple, but ELEGANT. I loved them
It’s amazing how old products come back into popularity. I’ve had seals for bout 40 years. When reorganizing my craft room, I found them but decided to keep. Glad I did. Missed beginning of live so just watching what I missed. Thx for the class!!
The wax seals give a very rich, elegant look to the cards.
Wow! Welcome to the future! That was awesome.! I love the way Stacy showed mixing colors.
Wow Stacey, so many beautiful wax seals. So much fun! Thank you for another fun Saturday. Rita
Here is my comment for winner, winner, chicken dinner... Enjoy your Saturday classes very much. Glad I found you and this crafting community.
The samples are always so wonderful, but this week they just went above and beyond. Fun #470 show.

Stacey., the way your mind works totally amazes me not to mention how jealous I am!!! Thank you so very much for sharing your awesome God given talent!
Hi Stacey I love how excited you get with a new product or how to take an old product and give it new life.
Very sophisticated and simple, yet beautiful.
Thanks so much. Love bringing back older ideas.
Yay! Glad to see your card, James! The black makes it look so elegant!
I just went out and ordered over $225 worth of this awesome release and too my surprise I had a store credit for $25. Thank you Stacey!!
It''s Sunday and I am here watching the replay for seals and things have a good week all of you at SMS
This video was FABULOUS!!! THANKS SO MUCH STACEY & SPELLBINDERS!!! Healthy, Happy Birthday Stacey, blessings & hugs!!!
Wax and stamps are oh so pretty. Thank you Stacey.
Congratulations to the winners this week! GOD Bless you all!
I thoroughly enjoyed this class because I have been wanting to learn how to make wax seals for about 3 years now! (Since I started crafting) THANK YOU, BIRTHDAY GIRL STACEY!!!! 🥳😍Thums up! Shared! Commented!
I’ve been wanting to have a go with the wax seals but didn’t really know what I could do to make it cost effective.
Now though after watching you my head is buzzing with ideas and as you keep saying ….shop locally…I have just placed an order with a local supplier. You’ve made my day ❤️
Hi Stacey! Happy birthday! Loved the video class today!
love your classes ,I go back and rewatch them .
This was a real interesting class. I would never have thought to use wax seals on regular cards. Well done! See you next week.
Hi love seeing all the new things you show each week.
Great idea with the heat tool, thank you! I love using seals, this video is a game changer for a myriad of reasons! Hi to everybody at SMS!! Thank you for all you do!
Solly, Cholly, had to watch the replay today, late getting home. Very Interesting and certainly
do-able with beautiful results. Thanks Stacey! 🌟
Another inspiring video pumping us up with lots of ideas. Thanks, Stacey!
Again Stacey you hit it out of the park with all of your knowledge. Also, I hope you had a very happy birthday
Stacey, I absolutely agree with you about not using candle flames. I'm in my 70s, and my husband just turned 84, so fire and ladders are no-no's!!
This brings back memories. I still have the two brass seals and wicked wax sealing wax sticks that I got when I was in middle school. Also reminds me of The Melting Pot. Haven't used that for quite awhile for stamping rubber stamp in the melted UTEE. Think you can probably use your rubber stamps for stamping in the sealing wax too.
I enjoyed the class! Stacey has so many ideas for items that are outside the box and give you so many options! Thanks!
Hello beautiful Stacey. Wax sealing is not for me, but I love the dies. Thank you for a great class.
I hope everyone has great week.
I really love getting new ideas for things I already have. Thank you!
Great Class Stacey! Thanks for your inspiration and Stacifying ! You are genius! 💝🤗
YAY! It's another Saturday with Stacey you tube!!! I miss them in store too!
Some very clever methods shown today with the sealing wax!
Love the dies and the way you used them with the wax !
Thanks for all the wonderful creative ideas!!!
Stacey, I have seen stamp seals becoming more popular recently and was sitting on the fence since there are so many different seals. Then you come along and knock me off the fence. I know there is that "one" seal that I am still looking for. It will come and I will jump on it. Thank you, thank you for showing how to use them. Going to need another shelf.
The frugal crafter has a video on how to use bottle caps and a mug warmer to keep the wax melted. Now I can't remember was it a mug warmer or warmer for wax scented melts. Will have to go back and watch the video.
I like this idea! Using the heat gun instead of open flame...brilliant!!!
Hello Stacey you tube 470 was awesome & sounds like you had a lot of fun too!! I've been using the seal on the back of my envelopes for years love love love this system can't wait to get !!!
Gorgeous samples. Love the wax seals!!
See using glitter in the wax.thanks for ideas
I’m loving the wax seals. I had them years ago but without the internet, I didn’t know what could be done with them. Can’t wait to watch tomorrow.
Wow Stacey, you are a rock star again. Way to go. Thanks
Great class - I am old enough to remember wax seals!
It looks like you are having a lot of fun, Stacey!
Learned so much. Your melting of the wax is brilliant.
So fun to see old products used in a new way, we used wax seals about 50 years ago, but not like this!
Just as an FYI, as others might also be experiencing this....I received a PayPal invoice recently and happily tried to pay with my credit card. PayPal did not let me use a credit card but insisted on my signing in. Just thought you should know as many customers do not want a PayPal account. Hope you have an awesome day!
I used wax seals a long long long time ago, when i sent letters to my at the time boyfriend no hubby! I still have it and a couple years ago when cleaning things out i thought gee i should get that out and use it for my card making. Well i didn’t so maybe I’ll clean out the closet it was in and find it and use it. I wonder if it would be needing an extra stamp on a card. Suppose it would depend on how thick you put the wax. Pretty neat ideas Stacey! Beautiful samples and great class.
What a happy day for Collette and Kathleen!
Wonderful class!!! Have a good week. Blessings
LOL … each time you said, “wax ring,” my mind went directly to some home renovation projects we’ve done in bathrooms!
I love this with the wax, how fun. The dies are amazing..can’t wait to play….Blyss
wow! I like using seals but the candle bits and heat gun are great techniques. Thank you Stacie.
Ooh and aww says it all! Gorgeous samples!!
I've always been very interested about wax seals! Thank you for the class Stacey!
Great class. I’ve wondered how wax seals were done and happen to have a tiny brass rose seal which I’ve never used before because I didn’t know how. Great idea to heat up the wax bits and now I know how to use bits of wax from a candle. These wax seals may be an ornament idea for Christmas too. Thanks for taking the time to post
Oh my stars Stacey this was a very instructive class. Can't wait for these to come in so I can play with them!
What a fun video ! Love these and thanks for the technique and all the amazing samples. I agree with the heat tool over the tea light flame, much safer! Thanks Stacey!
This class made me nostalgic.
Thanks for another great UA-cam. Great products and lovely samples, as always, tfs x
SOOOOO excited for this product! It's going to add just the right finish to my cards!
Stacey and James, have a great week🤗
I just love your imagination, Stacy
Forget the paper confetti, I’m thinking a little sprinkle of glitter❣️
Great class! Took me back my pen pal days in the late 60s,
Hi James! Thank you so much for your help with my order yesterday! I love your Sample in this video, too.
I used wax seals to close my envelopes on cards as a teenager until the Post Office wouldn't allow them because they would break and then break the sorting machines. The way you are able to bend and twist this reminds me of the little strips of plastic we used to get and cut out and heat up to melt together. I think it was called friendly plastic or something like that. Since this melts so thoroughly I wonder if you could use a die as a mold. Hmmmm. Great class.
Super pretty! I have always loved sealing wax…have some old old seals from days gone by…this is a new spin on them!!tyfs! 🌞
Great "think outside the box" class.
This class was so much fun!!!!
I have ben doing wax seals for about 45 years. I do use them some in my Junk Journals, but thanks for the new way to use them!
Fun class! Hope you have a good week!
❤hello Stacey and sms girls have a great week❤🤗🌹♥️👍great you tube withwaxes
This was such a fun class, Thank you so much for all the great ideas. Hope you have a wonderful birthday month, why just celebrate 1 day.
I did it again! I went crazy buying about everything!!!
The class was great. Don't think I'll get the stamp set but love the idea! My Saturdays aren't complete these days unless I spend it with you and the chat family!
What an amazing video lesson. I love the die option.
You are selling a BLANK brass head. Can use it to flatten instead of the tray. I have large flat head and use it to press flowers, gilding flakes and glitter into the wax. Love the leaf in the wax.
The seals look like a lot of fun to use.
