@@TsarOrthodoxBro_II Yes, everyone is welcome. Serbian Orthodox Church is just like any other church, and it is, officially, "One, holy, universal and apostolic church." Not to be interpreted that it is "the only true church", it is just one of the Orthodox churches joined in communion, sharing the same beliefs and rules. Historically, people like Aleksandar Deroko (De Rocco), Palavestra family, author Stanislav Krakov (Stanislaw Krakow) and many others were admitted into the Serbian Orthodox Church without being Serbs. The language used in SOC depends on the territory: in Serbia, it's Serbian or Churchslavonic, in the USA it's more commonly English. In, say, Netherlands, since many worshippers are not Serbian, it's a combo of English, Dutch and Serbian. Hope this is helpful. :-)
It’s absolutely true Kyle! I was Protestant, but Catholicism led me to orthodox. I loved watching TFP student action because it really inspired me to stand up for my faith. I also loved Brain Holdsworth (despite him being papist, I still think most of his content is great and can help Christian’s) which led to to study TLM, which eventually led to Orthodox ☦️
@Fritz Eh. Idk about that.. Western Rite is new thing (ROCOR does it very well) but there has been some problems of Catholics keeping old practices.. It needs to grow organically & be 100% Orthodox. We will see in the future. People should get to experience East & West! both Orthodox!
@@OrthodoxKyle Yep, those Catholics need to have all of their Catholic patrimony stripped away, their saints, devotions, liturgy, and history forgotten, rejected and replaced in toto (whoops, sorry about that use of Latin) by the Christianity particular to eastern Europe...yeah, that's the ticket! That'll be great! Pardon the sarcasm. If you think Orthodoxy is great and perfect for you, more power to you, but your vision of Orthodoxy triumphing over Catholicsm is a little bit....well...je nais sais quoi. Do really believe that there are not tons of Catholic men who love their faith just as much as Orthodox men do and are willing to fight for it? Orthodoxy and Catholicism is better together. This "Orthdoxy triumphing over Catholicsm" stuff is just weird.
That's nonsense. You could not have been a serious Catholic, or you would not have abandoned the Catholic communion of saints, taught about richly in the divine office, to join a schismatic Greek heresy that was handed over to the Muhammadan Turks. More likely, you have a Protestant demon that led you to Greekism.

@@TsarOrthodoxBro_II Where are these quotes from? Which books or letters? You just threw them out here without quoting a single source. Peter also founded the Churches of Alexandria and Antioch, which means that if supremacy over the other Churches was a thing, Rome would be competing for it. The Pope of Rome, the Patriarch of Alexandria, and the Patriarch of Antioch (among others) are the successors of Peter by lineage, all bishops are successors to Peter and this is reflected in patristic sources, such as: St. Isidore of Seville (+636): “So Peter first received the power of binding and loosing, and he first led people to faith by the power of his preaching. Still, the other Apostles have been made equal with Peter in a fellowship of dignity and power. They also, having been sent out into all the world, preached the Gospel. Having descended from these apostles, the bishops have succeeded them, and through all the world they have been established in the seats of the apostles” ~De Ecclesiasticus, II.5, M.P.L., Vol. 83, Col. 781-782. Pope St. Gregory the Great (+604): “To Eulogius, Bishop of Alexandria. Your most sweet Holiness has spoken much in your letter to me about the chair of Saint Peter, Prince of the apostles, saying that he himself now sits on it in the persons of his successors. And indeed I acknowledge myself to be unworthy, not only in the dignity of such as preside, but even in the number of such as stand. But I gladly accepted all that has been said, in that he has spoken to me about Peter’s chair who occupies Peter’s chair.” ~Registrum Epistolarum, Book VII, Letter 40 ~~ Furthermore, the Roman Catholic church has *literally* committed heresy. It is impossible for a single bishop to change the [Nicean] Creed without consulting with the entire Body of the Church in an Ecumenical Council. As St. Cyprian of Carthage explains in “On the Unity of the Church”, all of the apostles received the keys and passed them to the bishops through succession. The fathers at the 5th ecumenical council specifically and dogmatically told Pope Vigilius that one bishop cannot determine matters of faith alone, as there is “no other way the truth can be made manifest” other than within a conciliar context. Otherwise, there would be a mess of denominations all based on skewed personal interpretations, with no way to discern what is the Truth (hello Protestantism). ~~ Lastly what is referred to as the "Mother Church" or "The Root" is not Rome but Jerusalem as seen in: - “O Holy Sion, thou *Mother of all the Churches of God,* in thee in fiery likeness did the Comforter Spirit come down on the Apostles with awesome descent. So rejoice now and celebrate this day of Pentecost longed-for by all the world, and keep festival with us in joy”. (Pentecostarion, Friday of Pentecost, Matins, Praises, Troparion 3) - "If you be Catholic Christians, communicate with that Church from which the Gospel is spread abroad the whole earth: communicate with Jerusalem" and - "Christ made there (Jerusalem) the beginning of the preaching of His name: and you shrink back with horror from having communion with that city. No marvel that being cut off, you hate the Root". (St. Augustine's Homily 2 on the First Epistle of John) - "Of the Church at Jerusalem, *mother of all Churches* , we make known that the right reverend and most religious Cyril is bishop" (Synodical letter from the 2nd Ecumenical Council) As you can see, even though Jerusalem also has a Primacy of Honor, it never went beyond that to claim supremacy over the Churches (primacy =/= supremacy), because equality between them is fundamental in Apostolic Tradition. The reason Rome had primacy of honor was being a See of St. Peter (the original Seat of St. Peter being Antioch, Alexandria and Rome together) and being Seat of the Emperor of the Ecumene (Roman Empire) at the time, before the capital moved to Constantinople. Hence why Constantinople also enjoys Honorary Primacy by being called the "First among *equals".*

We have a western rite church where I live and I want to go but unfortunately there’s quite the stigma against it, just because it’s western and “looks” Roman Catholic. It’s really a shame because I am excited about the prospect of restoring western Europe’s original expression of Christianity through the Gregorian liturgy.
@Harry Garris exactly. I was part of an Old Catholic (not to be confused with Roman Catholic) mission, and the bishop was in talks to join ROCOR. But the talks with ROCOR and the Old Catholics broke down. It was a perfect opportunity to make a Western Rite. Of course, the OC mission failed, Old Catholics are just too small of church to keep them running. Now, I have to travel a good distance to a ROCOR parish. A Greek parish is in the same area as the ROCOR, thought about visiting there one Sunday. While I have a Greek ancestor, it would be nice to preserve Western liturgies in a Western Rite Orthodoxy.

"The entire system is a contradiction" Exactly. To see one egregious example of the contradictions inherent in Roman Catholic ecclesiology brought to light, I recommend a thorough reading of "We Are All Schismatics", by Abp. Zoghby of the Melkite Catholic Church.
Your view of the Papacy is very misguided. The papacy was given divine authority from God. He is the only one with that authority. Where you go off the deep end is when you claim that "bad popes = papacy is inherently wrong. We must realize that the pope is just a man acting "in persona Christi". He is able to err because of his human nature. The tradition of the church is set in place. Though pope has the power to change it, it should not be changed. Pope Francis has the ability to change it, because he has divine power. Sorry if I condensed your views a little, but this is what I understood from the video.
When I went to both Protestant (Anglican) and Catholic churches, I never really felt like it was the true church of Jesus Christ. That's until I went to orthodoxy, and then everything changed. After I found Orthodoxy, my brother went to a local TCC, but after the recent ruling from the Pope, he went to Orthodoxy. My brother and I are now inquirers of the Russian Orthodox Church. I'm very glad that we found Orthodoxy.
Ancient Church was refuting and rejecting heresies all the time. If you call that a "protestantism" then yes... we always protest to any heresy and Latins have a load of them.

First, they believe in the primacy of the Petrine See. Based off the understanding that Peter is the new Eliakim. “18. And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.” (Mat 16:18-19, DRC) With that in mind they are trying to find a balance between following Vatican I and the reality that the popes since Vatican II are manifest heritics. See Asisi in 1986 and recently the worship of the great western grandmother and other heretical ecumenical and modernist public acts. Their only solution is to claim that those post Vatican II popes are actually anti-popes.

They don't want to accept the fact that the Western church has gone astray. Sedecavantists seem like they wish the Western church was like how it was at the Council of Florence or at Vatican I which these already represents the Western church's changes to tradition. But Vatican II is just changing too much.
Roman Catholic here, I have been highly considering converting to Orthodoxy due to the high disagreements on what is going on in the Vatican (some say conspiracy, but there seems to be too many coincidences). I am also having issues with how progressive and laughable the pope is at the moment. While wanting to convert to Orthodoxy, there are some theological topics I disagree with. One being how marriage is viewed. From what I have heard, divorce and remarriage is common in the Orthodox church, and they do not have a process similar to annulment (I also like the idea of only being able to get married once). Purgatory is the second, if Orthodox don't believe in purgatory, why pray for the dead? Is something similar believed in, but not called purgatory? I am also having a hard time differentiating original sin from ancestorial sin.
I can provide you some insight into the subject matters if you are seeking a correspondent. At the moment, I would simply state that practices related to the marriages-divorces are not a novelty but are ancient practices...
Orthodox rejection of purgatory is pretty funny lol. Mark of Ephesus was hesitant at Florence when it came to purgatory because he thought the Latins meant that purgatory was actually a taste of real damning hellfire and that our prayers saved damned souls. Also: “…The Church, crowned with so many virgins, flourishes; and chastity and modesty preserve the tenor of their glory. Nor is the vigor of continence broken down because repentance and pardon are facilitated to the adulterer. It is one thing to stand for pardon, another thing to attain to glory; it is one thing, when cast into prison, not to go out thence until one has paid the uttermost farthing; another thing at once to receive the wages of faith and courage. It is one thing, tortured by long suffering for sins, to be cleansed and long purged by fire; another to have purged all sins by suffering. It is one thing, in fine, to be in suspense till the sentence of God at the day of judgment; another to be at once crowned by the Lord.” St. Cyprian of Carthage “The believer through discipline divests himself of his passions and passes to the mansion which is better than the former one, passes to the greatest torment, taking with him the characteristic of repentance for the faults he may have committed after baptism. He is tortured then still more, not yet attaining what he sees others have acquired. The greatest torments are assigned to the believer, for God's righteousness is good, and His goodness righteous, and though these punishments cease in the course of the expiation and purification of each one, "yet" etc.” Clement of Alexandria Orthodox rejection of purgatory is a weak attempt to make a division where there doesn’t have to be.
I find this video humorous, since even in the end of the video the creator of the video made it clear that purgatory is something that has been proven by blessed St. Leonard in his last bit, as well as him telling us explicitly there is not salvation outside of the Catholic Church, take any interpretation you like but please don’t base your video on a false title to mislead. Either way, the Catholic tradition and her 15 rites are nothing close to Eastern “orthodoxy”, and the biggest difference being we are not schismatic.
Last edit: St. Leonard also talked about the little and small amount of people that went to heaven, simply going off the front page of google so do your own research if you’re interested.
I am considering Orthodox Christianity, but most of the Orthodox churches in my area are Eastern European, and I am worried that it may be difficult and awkward and that I may not be welcomed and accepted their due to linguistic and cultural differences. So maybe I will just go to a Catholic church out of 'convenience'.
if the churches have english liturgy then there is no reason for you not to go, I attend a Greek Orthodox church and the community there are some of the most welcoming people I've met in my life, there are also a number of non-Greeks who have converted including members of the clergy
@@e11-f2l Thank you, I am thinking of converting to either Catholic or Orthodox. I am going to both Catholic and Orthodox churches and see which one I prefer before making a choice. I live in El Paso,TX in 2016 going through confirmation. I began my first for tradition Latin Mass was not heard of and seen a Taboo a forbidden underground practice. Literally attempting to find the Latin Mass and its teaching first lead me directly to Eastern Orthodoxy. In the Army i choose my religion as Eastern Orthodox so i may recieve a proper bariel knowing the Church wont give me a traditional and proper bariel. I strictly attend the SSPX Mass. The fact that the Russian Orthodox Church was able too maintain tradition under communist oppression and maintain tradition after the fall of the USSR. When i was stationed in Fort Carson, CO. The nearest SSPX Mass was in Denver. So i found a Russian Orthodox Church and attended Liturgy there. I was given three opportunities to convert to Easter Orthodox. I denied all of them. No can deny the church is flawed and has fallen to damnation.
For me it was always simple. Orthodoxy linguistically means adherence to tradition. If the inherent objective of the denomination is adherence to the traditions of Christianity, it would logically follow that the faith was truer to the word of Christ. Though I think it may be still possible that political games over the millennia have left it's mark on the Orthodox faith as a whole. That still stands a world apart from Catholics that openly reject tradition.

Hello Kyle , how important is it that the Church you attend be Greek or Russian Orthodox? Oriental or Eastern? What about Ecumenism? I'm asking as a Catholic interested in Orthodoxy , with no Orthodox church in my city.
I have video on this called ua-cam.com/video/ko8T2RIuKDs/v-deo.html Am I Welcome? - Is Orthodoxy Ethnic? Most parishes are extremely welcoming with thriving community, but there are always some bad apples... BUT this is not unique to Orthodoxy, Catholic Churches have all white, all Asian, all Hispanic Churches (it really just depends on the area you live)... Ecumenism is a problem in every Church, but the Orthodox Church & clergy are most outspoken against his heresy. Hey there! It's important to note the Eastern Orthodox (Dyophysite) is not at all the same church as Oriental Orthodox (Miaphysite). We are Eastern Orthodox, or just Orthodox for everyone else. That said, Jurisdiction in our Church doesn't matter. They all profess the same faith. You can enter any canonical Orthodox Church of your choosing and you are in communion with all of them. Hope this helps!
The four marks of the true church are that it is one, holy, catholic and apostolic. The orthodox is definitely not one. But the Orthodox communion has an issue when it comes to being “one.” I’m not referring to the dissent and division that has been part of every Christian community since the beginning. I’m referring to the fact that not all Orthodox churches are in full communion with each other. There are situations in which church A is in communion with church B, and church B is in communion with church C, but A is not in communion with C. For example, the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia is in communion with some Orthodox churches but not others (notably the Russian Orthodox church).
Our relaxed organization to many appears as weakness but Lord had said: "...my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Cor 12, 9). Matters of the communion come and leave and are of political nature while we still maintain same Faith across all jurisdictions.

Just from the title I can surmise you have a shallow understanding of the traditional Catholic world. No self respecting traditionalist considers the views of orthodoxy, it is much more of a question of sedevacantism than anything orthodoxy has to offer. Orthodoxy is a laugh for sedevacantists and the fragmented confederacy of loosely bound churches that make up both denominations is just concerning from the observation of both. It’s clear that you love Jay Dyer and are destined to stumble your way around conviction and stances you try to hold. Watch the way he himself fumbles the arguments for divine energies and essence like the past 6 years. I stand unconvinced by orthodox apologists but sedevacantism rings true
So, my one question about orthodoxy: why is the Constaninian innovation of swapping sabbath from Saturday to Sunday still recognized? I thought Orthodoxy is unchanged, but Constantine changed the Sabbath Day, apparently in favor of pagans. Why has the orthodoxy not gone back on this innovation? Is this not an error?
1) It is Biblical: (John 20, 19) On the evening of that FIRST DAY of the week, when the disciples were together... 2) It is Biblical: (Acts 20, 7) And upon the FIRST DAY of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread... 3) It is Biblical: (1 Cor 16, 2) On the FIRST DAY of every week each one of you is to put aside and save... Why don't you read Bible.?
The filioque controversy is simply something orthodox reject however they have really no reason to reject its historical consensus among the early church especially in second council of nicea the patriarch of Constantinople tarasios stated "I believe in one God the Father almighty, and in one Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God and our God, born of the Father timelessly and eternally, and in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father through the Son and is acknowledged to be himself God, a consubstantial Trinity, sharing the same honor and throne, eternal, uncreated, the maker of all creatures, one rule, one Godhead and lordship, one kingship and power and authority in three hypostases. ⁃ The Acts Of The Second Council Of Nicaea, Sess. 3, Tarasios' Profession Of Faith (Richard Price, p. 211) tarasios obviously supports the filioque and the filioque model is *the holy spirit proceeds from the Father through the Son* or I prefe *the holy spirit proceeds from the Father Nad the son* now both are filioque and valid I'm happy for byzantine catholics using the first model but back to the topic tarasios obviously states a filioque model he supports and it's evident that even Eastern father's like Gregory of nyssa spoke about this exact modal now the problem is the orthodox church refuses to recognize this modal and states "To the same, who say that the Father is, through the Son, the cause of the Spirit, and who cannot conceive the Father as the cause of the hypostasis of the Spirit ⁃ giving it existence and being - except through the Son...we cut them off from the membership of the Orthodox, and we banish them from the flock of the Church of God." ⁃ Second Synod of Blachernae, Tomus, #3, 1285; Aristeides Papadakis, Crisis in Byzantium. now orthodox certainly can interpret the letter tarasios made as the announcement was only a relationship but regardless the relationship is still theological understanding and saying the procession that's unrecognizable to the model the orthodox use is honestly contradicting and self refuting they used accept the filioque model as tarasios d. Now another part is thag not only did the orthodox aprove the filioque at one point that's evident in the patriarch of Constantinople tarasios but they also accepted catholic doctrine during the schism as it said "We come to our last example, which is the Council of Florence-Ferrara (1438-39). It had all the characteristic traits of an Ecumenical Council and was the most representative, as far as its attendance is concerned, in the entire history of Christianity. Delegates from all the Churches, including the Patriarch of Constantinople and the Metropolitan of Moscow, were present, not to mention the Byzantine Emperor. - ⁃ Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev, The Reception Of The Ecumenical Councils In The Early Church They obviously don't accept the Florence however the admit to Florence as an ecumincal Council now what Florence Council with the catholic church and orthodox bishop stated "A second reunion council was held at Florence in 1438-9. The Emperor John VIII... attended in person, together with the Patriarch of Constantinople and a large delegation from the Byzantine Church, as well as representatives from the other Orthodox Churches... a formula of union was drawn up, covering the Filioque, Purgatory, 'azymes', and the Papal claims; and this was signed by all the Orthodox present at the council except one... Thus, in matters of doctrine, the Orthodox accepted the Papal claims... they accepted the doctrine of the... Procession of the Holy Spirit... they accepted the Roman teaching on Purgatory... ⁃ Bishop Timothy Ware, The Orthodox Church, Penguin Books, 1993, pp. 70-71 Now Amazingly the reason for this denial is : "Despite the emperors' best efforts the Florentine union remained unpopular, as the Byzantines generally believed it was 'better to die than to Latinize"

But yeah, Catholicism is obviously not the original intentionality of the whole systemic project. They obviously changed everything by knocking out conciliarity.
It doesn't. Catholicism and Orthodoxy are very different. Trad Catholics go back to 650 ad when pope Gregory made that style of mass, while Orthodoxy goes back to 1054 ad at the great schism. I will debate you on this and reply to your comments to prove you wrong.
I've been thinking very seriously about converting to Christianity but I've been very careful to learn about all the branches and denominations and make an informed decision. My family is historically Catholic on both sides, and being raised in the US, the only options always seemed to be either a form of Protestantism or Catholicism. I've found myself extremely drawn to the traditions, art style, architecture, music, and history of Catholicism. But I couldn't get past what is happening with the modern state of the Catholic church. I felt myself greatly questioning the authority and intentions of the Catholic Church, for a multitude of reasons. This video brought even more problems to my attention. I'm definitely going to look more into Orthodoxy now, you have piqued my interest. Great video.

@@bambbambboyguy123No, no they don't. Rome always had primacy as they were established by both Paul and Peter , in contrast to Antioch for example, but the early church always functioned with bishops preeciding over regions, and no supreme infallible bishops.
Found that out the hard way. Especially after learning about the allegedly schismatic nature surrounding the SSPX historically. Trads are just confused Orthodox Christians.
@voxpopuli8132 Unfortunately, there aren't many in my area, but I've been looking to find one to understand the priests better and their view of the schism. There is an FSSP one in my area, but it definitely didn't feel like a Latin mass at all. And I can't stand that old female "announcer" making the holy mass feel like a elderly home bingo hall the entire service. The lack of reverence made me sick. It was quite the sad sight, because I do find beauty in the gregorian chants and traditions.
@@Adeptus_Mechanicus Seek out the SSPX Mass. Jesus founded only one Church (singular), on Peter, and not 23 different churches (plural): 14 chalcedonian, 6 non-chalcedonian, 1 assyrian church, along with old calendarists and old believers. Its a mess. the orthos (and sedes) are just confused Trads.
@voxpopuli8132 I'll see to it. But just to let you in on a bit of knowledge, a lot of those you mentioned are not in communion with the Eastern Orthodox. It seems confusing because they use the word "Orthodox" in their churches, but their theology, especially that of the coptics, is radically different. They are not in ecumenical standing with other Orthodox jurisdictions like that of the Romanian, Antiochian, or Russian Orthodox, which operate as one faith. The same logic of the standard of communion for Vatican II in standing with the Byzantine Catholics or FSSP. They are still in communion, (though at one point things were unstable with the FSSP).
as a former catholic i actually ended up with the trad catholic problem, i was really scared that the tlm mass would disapear and the entire mass would become novus ordo, after what pope said what he said about the tlm mass. The whole doctrine of papal infalability fell aprat like a house of cards. I am now eastern orthodox
Then you converted for the wrong reason, you showed complete ignorance on the topic of papal infallibility (I don't mean it as an insult). Pope Francis, in fact, has never said anything infallible. Someone like Pius XII did, but infallibility has not been used in a century. However, what Pope Francis wrote in his encyclical, on the TLM, is authoritative - still fallible though. Many of us Catholics disagree with his decision.
@@i.m.s.s2564 Yes but it comes from God, Who said the gates of hell shall not prevail against the Church. The only times papal infallibility has been used, it defined divinely revealed dogmas like: Mary's Immaculate Conception (feast day in a week, proclaimed by Pope Pius XII stating She was conceived without original sin) or Mary's Assumption to Heaven (proclaimed by Pope Pius IX, stating she didn't die but rather was brought to Heaven).

Not to be interpreted that it is "the only true church", it is just one of the Orthodox churches joined in communion, sharing the same beliefs and rules.
@@TsarOrthodoxBro_II Where are these quotes from? Which books or letters? You just threw them out here without quoting a single source.
Peter also founded the Churches of Alexandria and Antioch, which means that if supremacy over the other Churches was a thing, Rome would be competing for it.
The Pope of Rome, the Patriarch of Alexandria, and the Patriarch of Antioch (among others) are the successors of Peter by lineage, all bishops are successors to Peter and this is reflected in patristic sources, such as:
St. Isidore of Seville (+636):
“So Peter first received the power of binding and loosing, and he first led people to faith by the power of his preaching. 83, Col. 781-782.
Pope St. Gregory the Great (+604):
“To Eulogius, Bishop of Alexandria. But I gladly accepted all that has been said, in that he has spoken to me about Peter’s chair who occupies Peter’s chair.” ~Registrum Epistolarum, Book VII, Letter 40
~~
Furthermore, the Roman Catholic church has *literally* committed heresy.
~~
Lastly what is referred to as the "Mother Church" or "The Root" is not Rome but Jerusalem as seen in:
- “O Holy Sion, thou *Mother of all the Churches of God,* in thee in fiery likeness did the Comforter Spirit come down on the Apostles with awesome descent. So rejoice now and celebrate this day of Pentecost longed-for by all the world, and keep festival with us in joy”. (Pentecostarion, Friday of Pentecost, Matins, Praises, Troparion 3)
- "If you be Catholic Christians, communicate with that Church from which the Gospel is spread abroad the whole earth: communicate with Jerusalem"
and
- "Christ made there (Jerusalem) the beginning of the preaching of His name: and you shrink back with horror from having communion with that city. No marvel that being cut off, you hate the Root". (St. Augustine's Homily 2 on the First Epistle of John)
- "Of the Church at Jerusalem, *mother of all Churches* , we make known that the right reverend and most religious Cyril is bishop"
(Synodical letter from the 2nd Ecumenical Council)
As you can see, even though Jerusalem also has a Primacy of Honor, it never went beyond that to claim supremacy over the Churches (primacy =/= supremacy), because equality between them is fundamental in Apostolic Tradition.

It seems that you have a lot of valid arguments which I would like to hear, but the style of your content makes that impossible for me. Maybe it's because of my boomer attitude (I'm gen Z but I'm tired of social media and internet culture / reddit style of humour) and I really don't wanna get offensive, but for me it's impossible to watch your content. I get headache from the ADHD style of your content. The sound effects, the memes, the slides changing every second with a ton of information with stuff highlighted on it, the clickbait overloaded thumbnails. I feel that while I watch your content that all the information I see just goes by. I mean I still didn't really understand why Traditional Catholicism leads to Orthodoxy because I feel flooded with superficial information which easily could be explained slowly for an audience which is new to the topic. I can't intervene into your style of work and maybe a younger audience takes this kind of information, but for me personally it would be helpful if you consider to make content which is slower and deeper than this. I mean I would prefer to watch a 3 hour video of a normal explination than this internetculture stereotype kind of videos. But I would still like to tell you that I appreciate your work.

Latin Mass is neat. Hope more Orthodox parishes are created for Western Rite Orthodoxy.
That would be awesome.
@@MrSmith-zy2bp It's possible, as an alternative, to use the Byzantine Rite (like all the other Eastern Orthodox churches) but integrate into it some typical latin pre-schismatic elements into that? I mean, the usage of latin language, the vestements of the clergy (like the Saints and Old Roman bishops of the latin West), the easthetics that mix the byzantine and latin iconography but with the byzantine roots that are common to the rest of the Eastern Orthodox churches?
I do appreciate my orthodox brothers your tradition is impressive, but i will never turn my back on the Catholic church. It is in trouble but i believe that the good will triumph over the evil and the clergy will realize it. But if you just run away from evil it will always win. I have just been received into the Catholic Church through an FSSP parish. I knew about Orthodoxy long before I knew about the Latin mass and now I fear that I have made the wrong decision in joining the Catholic Church. I’m so confused now and I don’t know what to do. I considered Orthodoxy first, I watched Orthodox Wisdom and I still do to this day. But somehow I managed to convince myself that Roman Catholicism is better, because it has the Papacy. I knew about the pagan stuff involving Pope JPII and his successors, the contradictions and errors of Vatican 2 and still justified them to myself and listened to other Trad Catholics justify it to me. All the mental gymnastics I had to do in order to make Vatican 2 not sound like heresy. I was skeptical of Papal infallibility. It didn’t make sense to me and it still doesn’t. Is the Pope over the councils? Is he equal to them? I need help guys cause I invested so much time into something that I was fully convinced is true despite the warning signs. I love the Latin Saints before V2. I love the Latin liturgy. But I also love Orthodox Saints, the orthodox liturgy, and I even have a chokti that I pray with everyday. I would feel so guilty to leave Roman Catholicism behind for Orthodoxy. All the people who took the time to teach me about the faith and welcomed me with open arms. I feel so stupid.
Just wanna tell you that you’re not alone and shouldn’t feel stupid. The truth isn’t always easy to find. I myself have been studying and struggling to determine which denomination is correct. Just a few months ago I was a clueless evangelical Protestant. I believe the Lord appreciates us searching for the best/correct way to honor him. That being said, for me, this video among Kyle’s other content is very convincing that orthodoxy is the truth.

I am currently wrestling with whether to go Orthodox or Catholic as I likely move out of Anglicanism within the future. What is your opinion on Western Rite Orthodoxy? Coming from a Traditionalist Catholic background, I am sure you still appreciate much of the beauty of Western liturgics, so considering there are validly ordained clergy in the Orthodox Church (Antiochian) who celebrate the Liturgy of St Gregory, do you think that there is a value in maintaining the value of historic Western practice corrected to Orthodox understanding? I have found myself coming to greatly appreciate Western liturgics while also loving Eastern theology, so I am interested in the Western Rite Orthodox project. Or do you think broken theological tradition is too closely connected to the liturgical tradition itself?

Exactly.
To see one egregious example of the contradictions inherent in Roman Catholic ecclesiology brought to light, I recommend a thorough reading of "We Are All Schismatics", by Abp. Zoghby of the Melkite Catholic Church.
Traditional Catholicism leads to heaven.
Papal claims are just as laughable as 1000 years ago. Nothing new under the Sun.
When I went to both Protestant (Anglican) and Catholic churches, I never really felt like it was the true church of Jesus Christ. That's until I went to orthodoxy, and then everything changed. Ancient Church was refuting and rejecting heresies all the time. If you call that a "protestantism" then yes... we always protest to any heresy and Latins have a load of them.

I never understand why trad catholics, especially the sedevanctists ones don’t just become Orthodox Christian.
And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.” (Mat 16:18-19, DRC)
With that in mind they are trying to find a balance between following Vatican I and the reality that the popes since Vatican II are manifest heritics.
See Asisi in 1986 and recently the worship of the great western grandmother and other heretical ecumenical and modernist public acts.
Their only solution is to claim that those post Vatican II popes are actually anti-popes.
@@StanleyPinchak Their solution could be joining Orthodox Christianity which has none of that.
@@TsarOrthodoxBro_II I doubt most of these are real. There are literally no citations. Some of them don’t explicitly imply papism though. And then tertullian and origen were not Church Fathers.
Also:
“…The Church, crowned with so many virgins, flourishes; and chastity and modesty preserve the tenor of their glory. It is one thing, in fine, to be in suspense till the sentence of God at the day of judgment; another to be at once crowned by the Lord.”
St. Cyprian of Carthage
“The believer through discipline divests himself of his passions and passes to the mansion which is better than the former one, passes to the greatest torment, taking with him the characteristic of repentance for the faults he may have committed after baptism. He is tortured then still more, not yet attaining what he sees others have acquired. The greatest torments are assigned to the believer, for God's righteousness is good, and His goodness righteous, and though these punishments cease in the course of the expiation and purification of each one, "yet" etc.”
Clement of Alexandria
Orthodox rejection of purgatory is a weak attempt to make a division where there doesn’t have to be.
Edit: when referring to video, I speak of the title, I do not want to waste 20 minutes of my time when the title itself is simply wrong.
Edit: I messed up the names of St. Vincent with St. Leonard, forgive me for I googled this and I merely looked upon the first result.
Last edit: St. Leonard also talked about the little and small amount of people that went to heaven, simply going off the front page of google so do your own research if you’re interested.

Rome teaches salvation outside the Church. Rome teaches Orthodox have valid Priesthood, EUCHARIST! we have Christ! why do we need heretic Pope??

What do you mean We? You’re a convert.
As a trad cath I will always be Catholic but I love my orthodox brothers
@johnnyd2383 No, yeah, that's on me. I was flexing my arrogance when I hadn't even finished the gospels at the time. Call me the Dunning-Kreuger King.
Constantine did not change the day of Sabbath. His decision, which was in agreement with the Church, concerns the empire.
Good video. I’m convinced Christ is the risen lord but I don’t know which church 😵💫 too much information.
Yeah it's pretty overwhelming.
I was just thinking about joining the Catholic Church, now I have to look deeper
211) tarasios obviously supports the filioque and the filioque model is *the holy spirit proceeds from the Father through the Son* or I prefe *the holy spirit proceeds from the Father Nad the son* now both are filioque and valid I'm happy for byzantine catholics using the first model but back to the topic tarasios obviously states a filioque model he supports and it's evident that even Eastern father's like Gregory of nyssa spoke about this exact modal now the problem is the orthodox church refuses to recognize this modal and states "To the same, who say that the Father is, through the Son, the cause of the Spirit, and who cannot conceive the Father as the cause of the hypostasis of the Spirit ⁃ giving it existence and being - except through the Son...we cut them off from the membership of the Orthodox, and we banish them from the flock of the Church of God."
⁃ Second Synod of Blachernae, Tomus, #3, 1285; Aristeides Papadakis, Crisis in Byzantium. now orthodox certainly can interpret the letter tarasios made as the announcement was only a relationship but regardless the relationship is still theological understanding and saying the procession that's unrecognizable to the model the orthodox use is honestly contradicting and self refuting they used accept the filioque model as tarasios d. Now another part is thag not only did the orthodox aprove the filioque at one point that's evident in the patriarch of Constantinople tarasios but they also accepted catholic doctrine during the schism as it said
"We come to our last example, which is the Council of Florence-Ferrara (1438-39).
-
⁃ Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev, The Reception Of The Ecumenical Councils In The Early Church
They obviously don't accept the Florence however the admit to Florence as an ecumincal Council now what Florence Council with the catholic church and orthodox bishop stated "A second reunion council was held at Florence in 1438-9. 70-71
Now Amazingly the reason for this denial is : "Despite the emperors' best efforts the Florentine union remained unpopular, as the Byzantines generally believed it was 'better to die than to Latinize"
With a U-turn on the sainthood of John Fisher and Thomas More on the way?
nick has a lot to learn if he could keep his ego in check and be humble he might be ok

Rome TEACHES that Orthodox have the priesthood! and the Eucharist! if the Orthodox have Christ = the Eucharist.. then why do we need the Pope??? and Rome teaches salvation outside the Church!
Revelation 14:12
King James Version
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
I will never be able to explain to anyone how I have suffered from Christianity. I am more sinned against the sinning. But that is not what religion wants to hear.
So you think all traditions from Orthodoxy including the liturgy just appeared out of nowhere in 1054 ad? Are you really that stupid?
Nub uh, Holy Orthodoxy goes back to Pentecost of year 34.
Thank you Kyle. Christ is Risen

Religion doesn’t save you. Christ does.

The church fathers also talk about Rome having the final say Orthodox just cherry pick quotes. The church is going through a crisis right now of course satan will try and attack christs church the most I thought about orthodoxy but I was wrong Kyle is misrepresenting the church bad
We do, we have a lot of miracles I hope you look into@@bambbambboyguy123
@@bambbambboyguy123No, no they don't. Rome always had primacy as they were established by both Paul and Peter , in contrast to Antioch for example, but the early church always functioned with bishops preeciding over regions, and no supreme infallible bishops.

Found that out the hard way. Especially after learning about the allegedly schismatic nature surrounding the SSPX historically. Trads are just confused Orthodox Christians.
They should just go to a western rite orthodox church if they still like the latin aesthetic.
Have you been to a Latin Mass?
@voxpopuli8132
Unfortunately, there aren't many in my area, but I've been looking to find one to understand the priests better and their view of the schism.
@voxpopuli8132
I'll see to it.
Glory to God!
ME TOO!
@@mathfrom0to96giving a man that power is dangerous tho
@@i.m.s.s2564 Yes but it comes from God, Who said the gates of hell shall not prevail against the Church. The only times papal infallibility has been used, it defined divinely revealed dogmas like:
Mary's Immaculate Conception (feast day in a week, proclaimed by Pope Pius XII stating She was conceived without original sin) or Mary's Assumption to Heaven (proclaimed by Pope Pius IX, stating she didn't die but rather was brought to Heaven).
Christ is Risen!
