If my nephew would have hide her medicine knowing how much pain she was in on a daily my husband would have handle his nephew period. This is some bullshit on the daughter part. Once the reason for the stealing is actually addressed then it will stop. She’s not going to stop if she’s not getting the attention she needs. Mom needs some extra help, she’s doing her best but it has to be even more difficult being a single parent with a chronic illness.

It’s also incredibly painful. So I can just imagine how scared and possibly sad this child is. It’s not easy having a parent with a chronic disease. Generational trauma is so damaging. There’s such a breakdown in communication. If she puts her out, what happens then? She’s 13!!!

At 12, I lost my violin at school and didn't tell my mom for weeks because I was scared of her reaction. As a parent, you have to make it a safe place, or your kids will do stupid things to solve their problems on their own. If your boss yelled at you and came with a belt for every mistake, you wouldn't admit anything either.

Kids don’t know how to deal with a parental figure that’s got an illness. It doesn’t seem like this girl knows the scope of how bad sickle-cell can be. Stress is one of the main things that causes flareups. The girl said her mom “gets mad at her for little things” but being a thief isn’t a small problem! From the sounds of it, if she did her chores and behaved appropriately her mom would gladly give her money. Unresolved anger issues from being in a one parent household and getting bullied at school have this girl acting out. She loves her mom and her mom loves her. Hopefully Karamo can get her some help.

Aweeee I definitely have faith that baby girl will turn this all around. I use to be a lot like her. I never stole, but I had the mouth and attitude like no other. People always said “ that girl anger is going to be the downfall of her” and while I fell several times ; I eventually got it. Now I work for the state; I agave my own family , and I try my hardest to influence women in general. I was bullied ; told I was so ugly , hair was nappy, ect… guess what ? Everybody that bullied me …. Is now trying to be WITH me along with friends. Some are even like “ omg ; aliyyah is that you” “ you look so good” and instead of giving them the evil vindictive energy back ; I stated so do they. This is just a young lady struggling with being a teen; it’ll get better! We just have to apply ourselves

My daughter is 25 years and she has this condition. It is very painful physically, mentally and emotionally. It drains resources as well. Unfortunately, this daughter lacks compassion and is extremely selfish. She is also young but needs to stop being selfish.

Im glad that he brought out the daughter before the mom came out. So she can hear what the daughter has to say. I believe that it is important to create open communication with your child especially with a mother and daughter. She has to express to her daughter yes I will be mad, but to not be scared. I had to tell my daughter yes I will be upset when she does something that I do not approve of, but that does not mean that I do not want to know because if I know ahead of time what she does then I can handle it at that moment. I think as parents we do get mad at our kids when they do something but that is apart of parenthood. Its how we handle the disappointment in that moment that contributes to us yelling and screaming and doing all the things that makes a child not wanna come out to us.

I cried so bad watching this. I was this baby at her age down to getting bullied about the same things...I know that hurt and I also know the hurt of being afraid to tell the truth of what stuff really is without consequences. I just want to give her a hug!!!
It seems like a Self esteem issue. The whole entire time telling her story, her head is down. Lift your head young Queen.

Kids don’t know how to deal with a parental figure that’s got an illness. It doesn’t seem like this girl knows the scope of how bad sickle-cell can be. Stress is one of the main things that causes flareups. The girl said her mom “gets mad at her for little things” but being a thief isn’t a small problem! From the sounds of it, if she did her chores and behaved appropriately her mom would gladly give her money. Unresolved anger issues from being in a one parent household and getting bullied at school have this girl acting out. She loves her mom and her mom loves her. Hopefully Karamo can get her some help.

Aweeee I definitely have faith that baby girl will turn this all around. I use to be a lot like her. I never stole, but I had the mouth and attitude like no other. People always said “ that girl anger is going to be the downfall of her” and while I fell several times ; I eventually got it. Now I work for the state; I agave my own family , and I try my hardest to influence women in general. I was bullied ; told I was so ugly , hair was nappy, ect… guess what ? Everybody that bullied me …. Is now trying to be WITH me along with friends. Some are even like “ omg ; aliyyah is that you” “ you look so good” and instead of giving them the evil vindictive energy back ; I stated so do they. This is just a young lady struggling with being a teen; it’ll get better! We just have to apply ourselves

I had a cousin die from sickle cell because they wouldn’t give her her medicine. This hits home for me and the daughter would have to go, sickle cell is one of the top k.ller diseases for black people. To know your own child would watch you suffer is crazy

Ca’Siya and her Mother, LaKita need therapy(separate and family) to get through the trauma of losing a parent, navigating life with a chronically ill parent, parenting and depression. My heart hurts for them both. I pray God covers them, gives the strength and peace. 🙏🏾

I believe the 13 year old is a liar at her best, and I also understand the mother being iffy around her because her actions are so quick and unbelievable...I don't have a summary but the 13 year old if she doest stop with the lies and the tears just like her mom said she's gonna end up somewhere she doesn't need to be ...we can play like she's. Innocent but her mom is worried about correcting her behavior before it gets worse....it's almost as if that 13 year old knew exactly what to say to karamo to play innocent..she still didn't tell the truth about the pills ,if you know a sickle cell patient ..it's no joke their pain is unbearable to watch but they will refuse the hospital unless they just can't take it no more.....how can you watch your moma suffer like that

Everyone on this earth has lied before and the little girl did say it came from a place of being scared of her mother because the mom clearly did say herself she said she’d kill her daughter if she didn’t tell the truth about something . No kid lies n does things like that for no reason

My daughter is 25 years and she has this condition. It is very painful physically, mentally and emotionally. It drains resources as well.
Unfortunately, this daughter lacks compassion and is extremely selfish. She is also young but needs to stop being selfish.

Unpopular opinion here but karamo drop the ball on this one. Speaking from experience & as a teacher her home life isn’t an excuse for her actions. If anything she should be trying to make it easier on her mom instead of harder. Dad is already dead and your mom is on her way out too & you stealing household funds and life saving meds… like do you wanna be an orphan? And looking down the whole time a sign of guilt or lying . Let me see those eyes

@@monharris28 my dad was an addict, my mom had stage 3 breast cancer and I had a younger special needs brother. I was picked on for being chubby. I didn’t steal money or my mom meds. I didn’t want to make things any harder on my mom. I wanted to make her proud & be as close to her as I could b/c I didn’t know if she was going to die or not & I already lost my dad to the streets. Someone always has it worse than you & can still find a way. You will either make excuses or you make a way.

The daughter seems like she is on the spectrum and something is mentally wrong with her. Her having serious problems stealing from her mother and stealing her mom's pills. She saw her mama being sick and could cause death. Yes, she needs a mental evaluation done. The mama has every right to feel the way she does.
Im glad that he brought out the daughter before the mom came out. So she can hear what the daughter has to say. I believe that it is important to create open communication with your child especially with a mother and daughter. She has to express to her daughter yes I will be mad, but to not be scared. I had to tell my daughter yes I will be upset when she does something that I do not approve of, but that does not mean that I do not want to know because if I know ahead of time what she does then I can handle it at that moment. I think as parents we do get mad at our kids when they do something but that is apart of parenthood. Its how we handle the disappointment in that moment that contributes to us yelling and screaming and doing all the things that makes a child not wanna come out to us.

The daughter reminds me of the girl that played Michael Jackson’s sister on the Jackson’s 5 movie name Ebonie Smith. I pray that her and her mom have that mother and daughter relationship and when Karamo ask her how she feel about her mom when her answer was “I love her” and how she said it brought tears in my eyes wishing my mom was still here. She is truly blessed to still have her mom 😢🥰. Mom she’s taking a lot out on her daughter. She should never say she was gonna in-alive her own child. That is enough to get locked up. But I pray they both are doing well. 🙏🏻💞🙏🏻

Im so happy to see a mother who genuinely cares about her daughter...no envy no hate no regret cause these shows be having mothers that be tripping. KARAMO never misses the most important points...hes a true social worker...he never forgets the needs that are often the root to many issues...him and his lil notebook when he knows his brain clocking without that..sweet gift he gave them
