As somebody that use one of this every day, 100-120km a week. It's perfect, you set the cruise control on 2/3 throttle then just cruise with some music.
Comfort mod: seat post with damping... Breaks left/right are good for scooters, you get used to it after a second.
It's an epic city bike and I get it on public transport without extra charge.

If the brakes are backwards, how hard would it be to swap them? Can you just pull the cable and reconnect it to the other side? Probably a very niche thing but could be an interesting maintenance video for someone buying a bike from England.

Yeah it is as easy as removing the grips and undoing two 5mm bolts on the brake levers. Then just moving them over. You might have to redo the cable wrap. Then just put the grips back on.

I got something similar just to zip around the neighborhood and it's a fun little toy, but this DYU seems like it could actually be a pretty effective little bike in the right situation. I think it would excel on a college campus or high density cities where you might have a small apartment on the 4th floor, or it could be good for getting around a large residential or commercial property

Totally agree. They also make one with a bigger motor and not much bigger in size. That might be even better.
