RIP sweet guy!! There are only 15 to 20k wild Bonobo's are left in the wild! We need to educate more people about this. War, electronic devices and deforestation and Bush meat are the main reasons we are loosing these beautiful Apes. More education is needed
RIP, Tony. In most cases, I believe, that animals live longer in captivity(I think that’s what I’ve read). But I wonder, if given a choice, would the animal rather live in the wild, have to spend their entire day searching for food and defending against predators resulting in a shorter life than living in a cage with perhaps a small yard. Would you as a human prefer longevity but life in a cage to living a shorter but free life? I know zoological parks do an important job in saving animals who are endangered. They also educate people so that when they encounter animals in the wild their first reaction is not “shoot, and ask questions later.” But I hate seeing animals in cages. No, I’m not a PETA freak but I do believe God expects us to maintain the world he created for us and to be respectful and protective of nature.
Rest in peace beautiful boy, you will be missed. ❤

No one and nothing wants to live in a cage. As a human, if you live in a cage, you're already dead.
