Awesome how to video. Thanks a lot bud. I was losing my mind trying to get good open on my 2018 VNL. My cables are stretched out and only work 1/2 the time. Dealer wants 325.00 for the parts as I have to buy everything. Thanks again

Actually I Caan do it just as easy now I've done it a few times I'm not going to waste the money and just do it this way. When I'm not trying to film it, I can do it in seconds 😂

Our shop puts a short cable on it and it hangs down just above the steer tire on each side. I don't understand why you can't pull the cable from the inside of the truck with pliers or needle nose vise grips. I pulled hard, one cable at a time and it wouldn't release. Thanks for the video

You should grease the hood latch on each side of the hood after all it is a moving part and needs to have some type of lubercation

Pro Tip : Gotta keep the backside of latch release arm lubed and this never happens ✅ look whats pulled by the cable....
