- Hi dear viewers/ readers my journey started from Kerala Thrissur to Madurai that temple of Madurai which was Meenakshi Amman Temple was so beautiful and historic after having the divine Darshan we started towards Rameshwaram via Direct train from Madurai this train experience was so different from others because this train to Rameshwaram goes from pamban Bridge which is the most dangerous bridge in India because this Bridge crosses Hind mahasagar or Indian Ocean the view is so authentic and different from other journeys. in Rameshwaram there are many temples to visit the most famous is 22 kund Temple and the other is dhanushkoti which is again very dangerous place just because Hind mahasagar and bay of Bengal which are very known for their scariest depth resides there, even Government of India doesn't allow visitors to go across that area because once a cyclone has come in Indian ocean which has totally destroyed dhanushkoti town in Rameshwaram you will also get to see our honorable aerospace scientist home which is Mr Abdul Kalam who has made all Indian proud by his achievements. from Rameshwaram itself we have taken a bus towards Kanyakumari where you can view the beautiful sunrise and sunset. Madurai Rameshwaram and Kanyakumari are well known tirth which comes under Tamilnadu State.

Earlier Kanyakumari was part of Travencore dynasty in Kerala and later added to Tamil Nadu when the states were arranged on linguistic basis.

I think you need to look up Palk straits, Gulf of Mannar, Bay of Bengal, these are the different waters you come across near Rameshwaram. It is not Indian Ocean or Hind Mahasagar...

Kanyakumari was ruled by the king of Venad kingdom Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. In 1956 Indian states were formed in language basis then Kanyakumari was gone to Tamil Nadu State.

Kanyakumari is the southernmost place of India. 2 seas and one ocean meets here.
It is belived that Swamy Vivekananda attained enlightenment on the rock you are standing in the middle of the sea. It is 1/2 km from land (Vavuthurai, kanyakumari). Vivekananda Rock Memorial was build in 1970 in honor of Swamy Vivekananda.
It is not the southern most place it India, please get your geography right, Does an American has to teach you Indian geography ?
