the next time you do this take all of the mounting nuts loose on top-now put a jack under the lower control arm and jack it up a little so that the spring is under a little tension now take the top middle strut nut loose on top. now lower your jack slowly. and the whole thing will just fall out put the new spring on and put it back up in there and jack the whole thing back up and put the center strut nut back on.i hope this helps,
They’re under a lot of pressure. So if you remove the cap and whatever tool you are using to hold the spring compressed fails, the METAL spring will launch out very quickly and can hurt you very badly
Well if you ever used a ratchet strap you know there is actually two levers on it so if you can’t open it all the way you start to ratchet it before the click then pull the other lever to release some of the tension then repeat
Well I have bought proper equipment I bought three different spring compressors and none of them worked Hondas have very skinny springs and there slip out ever time so to me the straps are much saver , and these are not harbor freight straps
Excellent!! I'm wanting to paint my springs and I was trying to figure out a way of reinstalling them without scratching them to much.. Excellent

I was thinking straps would work. I think this is the only video showing it tho
Why do people think those springs can kill you? Also how do you undo the straps afterwards?

I'm not trying to find out why they're called widow makers😂
Interesting!
Is it worth not just using proper equipment, not trying to judge just dont want to die. I'd be the one with harbor freight ratchet straps.
