This video is so helpful. I’m just waiting for delivery of my CPL press. V excited. Useful also to know where to get materials. Love your work. Great soundtrack too. Thanks Paul.
Thank you Cate for your lovely review of Paul's videos. I have passed your feedback to Paul and I am sure he will be chuffed :-) Paul really enjoys what he does and he has perfected his art. Paul is also a great teacher too.
Hi Cate, for some odd reason, Paul was not able to add his reply. Therefore, he has kindly forwarded me his reply to copy and paste here for you 😃 Hi Cate. If my tools get really blunt, which isn’t often, I send them away to be professionally sharpened. www.lawrence.co.uk/tool-regrinding-sharpening.html If you sharpen them on a slip strop before every session that prolongs their sharpness. You can also try this. Get you self a small flat piece of softwood from a DIY merchant and (only when they are sharp) cut small grooves into the wood for each of your tools. Then fill the grooves with honing compound and sharpen in the appropriate groove. Hope that helps (from Paul)

A question… do you use a whetstone as well as the slip strip to sharpen your tools? I’d so what’s the best type of whetstone to get?
