From the Ohrenje doc on Kanami, the first song she learned to play on guitar was one by Glay. It must have been a thrill for her and the others to be up there talking to Hisashi. So happy for them.
I bet many Band-maid fans do not know who Hisashi & Glay are. Glay was one of the biggest Japanese rock bands in the 90s & early 2000s. (together with Laruku, B'z) They had many great songs, in different style too. Kanojo no Modern, Yuuwaku, Winter Again, Missing You, Heavy Gauge, All Standard is you, Kokodewanai doko kaeto, Two Bell Silence, etc all are very diverse in sound & yet very good. They even had some dueling guitar solo in some of their songs. The only downside was, they were not able to break the market outside Japan. Band-maid can learn a lot from them. 😊
