If you go the top shortcut (to the left of the back of the old church) you walk through one house to the top of the canyon. Then you can take the sorcerers out with a longbow or crossbow, otherwise you can get overwhelmed quite easily
Dark Souls 2 suffers from sequel comparison. It should really be approached like a different game, but because people almost always play DS1 or DS3 first, they subconciously think it can be approached the same way. A lot of problems people have in DS2 stems from impatience. If you rush into things, there's a BILLION enemies and they will all swarm you. The B-Team really wanted to punish the infamous "door dasher" players that try to just run through the level as fast as they possibly can to reach the boss. If you just take your time, and especially if you take a ranged weapon or magic, half the problems go away. DS2 is meant to be played defensively, not aggressively. It punishes people trying to run away. Unlike Dark Souls 1, where enemies are too spread out and sluggish to punish aggression, and unlike DS3 where spamming R1 a billion times just stunlocks everything in the game. I ain't dunking on you, cuz its still got its problems. But as a Dark Souls 2 (Scholar) lover, I gotta defend my man from a bad position it didn't deserve to be put in. It's kinda like how Metal Gear Solid 2 had the misfortune to be stuck inbetween the OG and Metal Gear Solid 3, which are masterpieces. MGS2 isn't actually that bad, it just suffers from sequel comparison. IMO Dark Souls 2 has BY FAR the best casting system in the entire series, and it doesn't get appreciation for it.
Souls games are call back to a time when games at first didn't have a difficult level, you had to 'git gud'. As Someone with zero skill I steer away from these types of games. So feel good you've gotten this far 😂
I think it’s all about perspective, coming right from ds1 to ds2 for me maybe spoiled me, idk tho. Maybe I’m just a picky gamer, glad you enjoyed the game tho
I hate how, making the game difficult is just adding bullshit hitboxes, unnecessary traps and waaaay too much enemies everywhere. Like why does every room need a bajillion enemies come on bruh. Also love the vids hope you see through this game and its bullshit! Trust me it gets better (spoilers: it doesn't)
i havent watched this video yet but I swear if Dark Souls 2 is in it I'm going to cry
uh
Bro really stopped his Elden Ring 2 playthrough just to deliver some Dark Souls 2 content. All hail the gaming warlord
Elden ring 2 > Dark Souls 2

Just finished DS2 for the first time and have to say i very much enjoyed it, i don't think it deserves as much hate as it gets.

I agree 100% it’s complete bullshit, after I beat the game I doubt I’ll comeback, it is what it is
Damn u guys suck at the game so bad 😅
I agree, dark souls 1 is horrible
I aint even a ds2 fan but insane how the hitboxes are still a widespread misconception except the mimic wakeup being an actual circle hitbox
I absolutely loved and still love Dark souls 2 .. I blame my crappy college laptop ... man 2016 was 8 years ago ? crazy !!
