Either swallowed hair that was in the stomach (bezoar), or pulled hair that was saved by a trichotillomaniacal person.

Probably someone that eats their hair, then it builds up in the stomach, or maybe intestines, where it causes a blockage, and has to be surgically removed.

That's seems really possible. I understand even non-cancerous cysts can grow teeth, hair, etc. Don't be surprised by anything!
