Ohh Heck yeah!!! EA839 Content. I am sooo (As the kids say) Here for it!! Especially when it comes to Maintenance!!! Thank You ECS Tuning.
Wow changing oil on this is easier than my dang 2012 FJ Cruiser!
Never thought I would get excited seeing a dipstick. :)
There's plenty of things to get excited about with this car, the dipstick is only one of them 👀
I tried this method for changing oil on my 2020 SQ5. I compared draining the sump to using the extractor. I started both times with the oil level at the max line. When drained, it took 7.7 quarts of oil to get the oil back to max, and I got 7.7 quarts of used oil. When I used the extractor, it took 8 quarts of oil to completely fill the sump, and I got exactly 8 quarts out. Draining leaves about 250 ml's more oil in the sump than using the extractor. It's interesting how much the design of the sump influences how much oil is left after draining.
@@joshsheinis5968 yeah, I was surprised, too. Maybe ECS didn't fill it to the max line or didn't wait to suck all the oil out. But that is my standard procedure now. When I extract the oil rather than drain, if I put in the 7.7 quarts, it only takes the level to about 3/4 of the way up the fill line. So every time I do an oil change now, I just extract the oil, suck the remaining oil out of the oil filter housing, put the new filter on, and add the 8 quarts at once. For some reason when you drain the oil, there is about 1/4-1/3 quart more oil left in the pan.
Why 0w20? Is the car tuned? If yes, doesn’t need a bit thicker oil for better performance during that heat?
Insane S4 !!
Thank you! We've done a lot to this car. We're actually going to have a video coming out soon on all the cool parts on this car 👀
Isn't there a problem with that oil pump that it leaves behind a lot of residue? Residue that leads to excess carbon build up over the years?? I wonder why they don't drain it out from the bottom after lifting it.
Why didn't you drain if from the oilpan? And why didn't you put in a new drain plug?
A lot of people don't have access to a lift, and when doing a normal maintenance item like an oil change, performing this service on the ground with jack stands every few months can become inconvenient. The oil extraction method allows you to perform this important maintenance without every lifting the car off the ground. We wanted to show that even on a performance car like the B9 S4, maintenance can be hassle free.
What number oils did you use and why looked like 9200 series
Nice looking engine. Doesn't look original/stock but it's clean as if it was.
Instead is searching for it go to service and checks and oil level. Easy
Question: why does the s4 and s5 use 0W-20 while rs5 uses 0W-40??? I’ve also seen b9s use 5W-40. What would you recommend? I feel like 0W-20 is way too light
You are Wright.
First thing i did on my a5 changed that water oil for 5w40
Fuck what audi says . . Only 0w20.
It's only good for the world but not for your engine 😂
@@erwinvanriel5843Pretty stupid to go against the manufacturer specified oil. AE839 suffer from low speed pre ignition which will destroy your engine if you don’t warm it up properly. Thick oil cold gets past those flimsy piston rings and will ignite under high loading when cold. Why take a chance? RS5 and S5 are two different engines that don’t have the same tolerances so your comparing apples to oranges. Just change your oil every 3K and with manufacturer recommended oil and don’t thrash on it until your at operating temp.
@ayrtonm7907
Not stupid. That 0w20 is only a emission thing. Ok and a little bit to prevent lspi. You know what lspi is ?
All audi tuners say it .
You think it's stupid . We talk again when my engine has 200.000k without any damage .
Oh shit yes you know what lspi is 🤣
2021 SQ5! But this engine is basically the same
everything about this dude..is
he drives a square body chevy and got chew in his back pocket.
he dont drive german
It was all OK until you pulled the oil extractor out
Please don't use that 0w20.
@davisbrett44
Yes 5w40 audi says 0w20 👎
And all the audi tuners i spoke to say
5w40 ful synthetic . . Like liqui moly
amsoil
Why do Audi guys add power but then add those heavy ship anchor wheels to the car. The world may never know.
Yes, please!! Transmission and Differential fluid replacement DIYs, on this B9 S4, would be superb!! 🙏
This would be amazing!!!
