    You get a renewed appreciation for the good in your life when you have to deal with tragedies and death, and I'd like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation and love to the entire GAC crew, who do so much for the fans and it's one of the things I most look forward to. My Chargers and Herbert fandom is source of great happiness to me, and you realize those are extremely precious when enduring days that are hard. Thank you, Steven, Tyler, Alex, and all the others who contribute here. 💖🙏💐🏈⚡⚡

      First off, nothing but love your way to you and any others who are going through what you are referring to. Life is amazing and difficult all at the same time. It is a blessing and curse for tragedy or loss to make us pause and look at who and what is around us and appreciate them/it.
      Thank you for all you do to support us, you are part of a wonderful community that I think we have here. Take care of yourself!

    40:32 with 4 really good edge rushers, I don't think we necessarily need pressure from the DT's. My concern is that they stop the rush.

    • @fitness4234
      @fitness4234 2 місяці тому

      they also might not be using the DT's to get pressure, as was the case with Ravens.

      @@fitness4234 The Ravens always had a legit pass rushing DT and currently have one of the best in the league though. Someone besides Fox needs to be able to win one on ones.

      I 💯 agree, however would note, we do have some young talent flashing, 53 man cuts, and in season options available. It's a manageable problem and we now have the coaches that ought to be aware and capable of addressing the issue. Great episode ❤❤❤

      @@guiltyascharged7752 Fox is 4th to last in run stop % and only generated 24 pressures. Ravens best edge rusher last year was Clowney and also had good PRP production from Odafe and Van Noy.

    Chargers aught to put that on their site as a "guest" analysis, that was fantastic! Looking forward to seeing how the special teams perform this year, they always seem to have an underappreciated impact on winning (or losing).

    I absolutely love this kind of in-the-weeds detail, great pod! I am particularly fascinated by the roster implications of McFadden. Is he also filling out a O-line roster spot? Will that mean they carry Barnhart AND Leatherwood? If McFadden is filling THREE positions then maybe that’s the way they get 7 WR’s… 8 O- line, 3 RB, 3 TE plus McFadden (assuming only 2QB’s) let’s you have 7 WR’s and you’re STILL only at 24 offensive roster spots, so they could go Patterson, Barnhart or 2 of the 4 other TE’s… what a luxury!

    • @guiltyascharged7752
      @guiltyascharged7752  2 місяці тому +2

      McFadden's main role is still offensive line. He is the primary backup guard. I think him effectively being the starting fullback means they could keep any number of players. Certainly helps Patterson (currently RB3), Sarell and Smartt's chances in particular.

      @@guiltyascharged7752 i love Harbaugh’s outside the box thinking here, I wonder if something like this could be in the works on the defensive side, particularly in the defensive backfield. Someone who could be both safety 5 and CB 6 (10 total DB’s) which could open a roster spot for a 6th IDL…

      @@Electric_Funeral Maybe! I know that's been a role Michigan used in the past (Dax Hill) but that's also kinda DJ's job too.

    I think they need to still address getting another starter at outside corner and DT that can rush the passer if asante or fulton get hurt thats gonna be a big problem same at the DT position but then again cam hart has looked good so far so corner might not be so bad depth wise but they need a impact player at DT really badly hopefully they can make a trade for a good DT

    • @guiltyascharged7752

      I'm a little higher on Cam or Deane being able to step in there but I get why others do not share that belief. I do agree I'd like to upgrade one of the three starting CB spots. Fulton said he can play the slot if need be and Derwin obviously has a role there too.

    I know some fans over value Brendan Rice because of his name and the “value” we got for him in the draft, but I don’t think it’s much to ask for him to beat out QJ. Rice needs a lot of improvement as well to crack into the starters reps. In all honesty though, QJ was one of the worst WRs in a lot of categories last season. So from that standpoint could it really get worse than him? I get he improved marginally and needs more development, so I’m not saying cut the guy. The bar is pretty low for WR4 at the moment. I want to see all the WRs battle for that spot not just Rice. I have read good things about Jaylen Johnson from Pops reports. I really don’t care who plays as long as they can be a reliable target. I’m going to rip my hair out if we get another Packers game type drop from QJ this season.
