When doing these type of videos put the camera on Manual focus and take it off Autofocus
this ^ please take auto focus off, cant concentrate on whats going on, and just looking at the back of your head. you should think about a different camera set up
i just got same one 2 days ago i have upgrade ram from 2gb 6 gb i want to get ssd for it later i updated mac os to high sierra highest it goes to. i took very long time to install
I have a 512 GB/8 GB that HAD High Sierra. It now has Sonoma (OC Legacy Patcher). Just got 16 GB ram for it. Will give it 1 TB SSD soon…
You should have selected your new ssd as the start up disk. Thats why it took nearly a minute to see the apple logo.
If you reset the PRAM after the ssd swap the initial logo will show within seconds cutting about 35 seconds of the bootup, for some reason on mine it checks for the old hard drive still until the PRAM is reset,

Power off your Mac.
Press your Mac’s power button and then hold these four keys at the same time: ⌘ + option + P + R.
Continue holding the keys until your Mac restarts for the second time. On older Macs, the chime will sound upon restart. On newer Macs, the Apple logo will appear and then disappear.

You must enable TRIM on the MAC via the terminal when using SSD otherwise the SSD will fail much faster. Also it’s music better to install OS from scratch to get the best experience.
Is there a benefit of installing an m.2 SSD?
Mine is a mid 2010 8 GB I'm also considering 16 GB ram.
Can it handle Zoom?
Yes, from my experience it can handle even more than Zoom.
Yes, I use Zoom on my 2010 "mac mini" all the time thanks to Covid-19 and working from home. In addition, this model also supports Apple's white remote control (smile...smile).
Will it run Photoshop?
Not really. I do not recommend getting this old of a MacMini for anything… sorry. It's really an old computer which is super slow and hard to use.
I have used this model as my primary desktop for many years. However, if this will run Photoshop make sure to always say which, version of the software. As a 12-year old computer it will fly through 12-year old programs and applications but, may not work at all with current year 2022 applications. Also, this model can only run software supported by Apple's operating system OS X 10.13 High Sierra which, is about four versions out of date (smile...smile).
I'm running Photoshop CS5 on mine and runs fine.
