What size bags?? Also you added a check valve to the fill line but what about the passive draining from the drain lines? I have the same boat and when using really large bags that fill higher than the thru hull drains on the side they end up losing a lot of water.
We're running our 850 ExactFit bags in this upgrade. These don't fit too much above where our thru-hulls are so I don't think that will be an issue for us (granted we have yet to get it in the water). Sometimes there may be some slight variance in the hulls even if it's the same year and model but I wouldn't guess it would be enough to lose that much water. I'd recommend shooting us an email at support@wakemakers.com and we can try and find a solid workaround to fix that problem!
We remove the tanks in this system in order to maximize storage when empty, and weight when full. Also a piggyback system is partially aided by gravity, we've found it much harder to drain when the tank is on the side and not under the floor.
Super cool ballast upgrade.

Why did you take out the hard tanks instead of adding piggyback? I’m curious
