One thing I'll say about the Class D's - your explanation is wrong, class D's generate LESS heat than any of the other amplifier types just on the basis of how they work - I leave my LP6's on all of the time and they are cool to the touch, it's Class A and A/B that generate heat and they used to warm to the touch even when no music was being played if left on for an extended period.
Do the IN8 hiss cause the LP6 i had hissed like a mf and returned them for some yamahas hs which dont generate any noise.
Love the jam in the beginning 👌🏼 great review man! I wanna hear these now!
The sleep function can be disabled easily. It is a jumper on the amp board. there is a video on youtube by Kali showing how to do it.
Thanks this was helpful!
Pondering between these and rokit 10 g4 for living room
I replaced my m audio 3-8 with these speakers. The kalis seem to have a clearer sound than my m audio. The m audio had more power and they seemed louder.
thanks for honest insights,
I wonder if you'd eventually recommend/test them with the new Kali WS-12 subwoofer with them?
You can disable the power saving mode,
@@RonnieVaiArovo sorry I just saw this, you can watch this video ua-cam.com/video/Beyp9Nk2PDY/v-deo.html
Just a comment...the background audio is too punchy...it covers your consonants. Appreciate the practical review.
Hey Eric! I really appreciate you letting me know! I’m always trying to put my best foot forward 😀
Hi Borza, i saw you have genelec 1030, how did in8 compare to 1030? Does it near or genelec still far superb in represent the sound we mixed?
hey every genios that talking about "HISSS" why is not on the recorded sound that i listen?u have noise canceling on?
Hi Borza,
I currently have a KRK V8S4 pair and I produce dance music, these Kali in-8 are better in terms of mixing?
I saw you have them too, wich ones you like more?
One more question ahah, they hiss louder than the v8´s? V8´S has a little hiss too
Thanks :)
Im little bit on the edge should I buy Yamaha HS8 or spent more money for Kali Audio IN-8. Is the money worth it?
Hi. Thanks for the review.
As these my monitors are 3 feet away from me, the hiss from the Kali's unfortunately wouldn't work in my situation. Is there a monitor with deep articulate low end extension and no hiss to be recommended? I understand the price will likely be higher.
APS Klasik. Those Neumann 310's are awesome, but I can't afford them.....yet
Neumann’s are great! Also look into the KRK V-Series. Maybe the V6 or V8. Those speakers PUMP. They’re in a whole different class compared to the rokit’s
Was the 300hz issue corrected in wave 2 IN-8s?
I know there’s a crossover around that area between the low and mid cone. But it sounds super natural to me. These really are point-source loudspeakers
For less 500$ which speakers would you recomend in my small room studio ?
Wich is better for speakers a xlr or a trs cable
In terms of audio quality, the difference should be negligible if the cables are well-constructed. But the build-quality is in favor of XLR. Plus, look at the hookups on the back of the best gear ever built - almost all of them are using XLR.
Are they better than the Tannoy monitor series gold 8 inch what's half half the price, be an interesting comparison
Kali Audio offers the option to defeat Auto Standby:

The Hiss Masters! An $800.00 pair of speakers should not have any noise when powered up! My Mackie MR524's and HR824's have no noise. Kali Audio states that they have that noise to keep the cost down? My Mackie MR524' only cost $340.00 and have no noise when powered up! That's a line of BS that they can not produce a speaker for that price with out a noise filter that virtually cost nothing. Capacitors cost pennies!
Oh man that background music became so irritating I had to stop watchiung. Why, oh why? Your thoughts are valued by ta de da dum music just ruins it.
Thanks for the review. Detailed stereo imaging and defined mids at this price point are a huge plus. I think I can live with the hiss. Sort of tells me they're alive.
Excellent point!
