- Hello guys I'm finally back after a near 7 month hiatus, with an old classic that most people nowadays probably haven't really heard of. I was feeling very rusty with my arranging skills so I decided to come back with something nice and simple, so I hope you all enjoy a not very zzz like arrangement of Yakusoku, an iconic song from The iDOLM@STER!
I hope to get back into a regular (monthly) upload schedule now that I'm not as busy, so keep your eye out!

A: All my arrangements can be played if you can reach a 10th (C to next octave E). If there is a stretch that seems longer than that, consider using the other hand, or possibly the sustain pedal! Keep in mind that my Synthesia videos are based on my sheets, so the colours may not match the hand it's supposed to be played with.

Ayooo welcome back! I can't believe that more than half a year already passed. Opening UA-cam, I'm greeted with this video - and you're absolutely right: It's a classic I never heard of, probably because I'm a bit young :(. That being said, listening to this tune for the very first time, you managed to - in my opinion - make it sound like a piece written for the piano in the first place with all the ever so slight or big changes to the melody or the accompaniment. I personally really enjoyed what I will assume is a bridge at 4:18. The simplicity caught me off-guard and I ended up maybe enjoying it a bit too much. Oh well, long story short, the one thing that never changed is your ability to compose Arrangements I - and many others - truly enjoy listening to. I hope that Uploads will be more frequent from now on, just as you said, but even if it should take another 6-7 months or even a year, I don't see myself not listening to your arrangements. All that being said: Thank you for the Upload!

Back in October 2011, my best friend passed away. It was the first time I ever lost someone that close to me. At the funeral, I was a pall bearer, my mum was crying a lot, and I still remember the bouquet arrangements, one of them in the shape of a Pikachu. I found myself supporting my mum, it seemed like it was really hard on her.
But.... I felt numb? I thought I was super fucked up in the head, why the heck am I not crying, when someone dies, you cry, right? I mean, my mum was crying, so there 'had' to be something wrong with me. I stopped playing video games, distanced from Nintendo because my best friend introduced me to Nintendo, and it was too painful to even listen to the Pokémon soundtracks. I also play piano, do my own UA-cam videos rarely... I couldn't even play that properly, and had the equivalent of writer's block but for playing music.
It wasn't until episode 20 of iDOLM@STER, that I began to piece my feelings together, I believe it was around November or December this episode aired? I honestly choked up hard when Chihaya couldn't sing, and how the scene played out after, it was the first time something resonated with how I felt, and things started to click into place ever so slightly. I know it's just an idol anime... but I'm forever indebted to this scene, it really helped me start to take the steps to process my feelings after the death of my best friend.

I write my sheets with Musescore then export to MIDI, which I then edit with MidiEditor and finally put through a VST called Garritan CFX Concert Grand
