The kid literally looked right at his hand hand when he grabbed his watch. It’s clear he was just being a good sport, it’s confirmed by his subtle reaction when he shows him the watch!
Every move the guy does has a purpose. The second he grabs the kids wrist...he's working at the watch clasp. Watch his fingers closely...the entire time his hands are around the wrist...the fingers are moving. First he starts with what the kid assumes is the trick...moving the balls. But that's misdirection. Then he grabs the kids non watch hand. This is to get him used to his hands being around his wrist. The kids guard has now been let down. Which makes him more comfortable so that he won't notice what happens next. Then he grabs the watch hand and does the same movements as he did with the non watch hand. This starts the real trick of removing the watch. The kid doesn't notice because he thinks the guy is just doing the same as he did to his other wrist. Then he gets the kid to turn his hand over. Less chances to be noticed that way. He keeps eye contact with the kid to keep him from looking at his hands and wrist. He shakes the wrist..what 3 separate times. Each of those times is to misdirect the kids attention. He's literally asking the kid if he feels the red balls leaving his hand. What the guy is ACTUALLY asking...is if he feels him playing with the watch. Kid says no...so he continues. When he finally pulls his hands away...the watch goes with them. And then while still holding the kids attention...he takes the balls away and says things like "if I take this and this...and if I take this and put it in my pocket..." and then puts the balls in his pocket....he actually just pocketed the watch at the same time. Everything he does has a purpose through out the entire trick.
I learned this in psychology. It’s called Selection Blindness. Basically since the kids’ focus is on something else he won’t notice the little details. Our brain can only process so much so if we don’t pay close attention we’re more likely to not notice this and that. There was a person who did a little experience that. He would ask for directions to a certain place and make the person look in that direction or at a map. Then someone would come in between them with a painting that they were “moving” and swapped places with someone who is a different race or gender however! The person they asked directions from doesn’t notice and continue to give directions to the location. The person giving directions doesn’t pay attention to the person but pay attention to what they asked, where the place is, and how to direct them. It’s really weird but that’s how our brain is. The person even did another experiment where he pickpocketed a guy and stole his watch, wallet, and tie (around his neck) without him noticing. But that’s another experiment.
So The key is to overwhelm the person with a million different thoughts while loosening the watch so the person just has an anxiety attack inside while you’re doing whatever you want lmao
I like how he sets him up to not notice the watch theft by squeezing his right hand and arm several times. That coupled with the fact he has the kid laser focused on the trick.
It takes so little to brighten someone else's day. Yet it can leave them feeling happy for a moment, an hour, a day, or give them a sweet memory for life. Help someone in need (esp. the elderly), tell someone you care about they’re amazing, compliment the chef who just made your delicious dinner, post something positive or leave a kind comment on social media, even just smile at people around you... And it will make you feel pretty awesome, too. 🙌.
He actually did feel him take the watch, he just was afraid to mess up the show. 1 - it wasn't a great take, lil rough. 2- Watch the kids eyes when the guy takes off watch, he clearly feels something wierd. And the kid for a split second looks at the watch in the guys hand right before he says "look, look". 3- watch the kids reaction when the guy gives him back the watch, not surprised at all and he never checks his wrist to see if it really his watch.
Tell me about. I once lost my wallet and the magician I was talking to was kind enough to produce an exact replica of it with my family pictures and money inside it. Sadly he didn't know how to make a credit card but hey you can't win em all
I actually was on stage with him once had a card throwing contest… little to say I flopped but I learned how to actually throw one Bc of this guy! He had a playing card stuck to the cafe ceiling for atleast 3 years absolute legend.
Definitely saw the steal, wasn’t as smooth as some others but it is hard to do. Pick pocketing effectively and well enough to not get caught is extremely difficult and a lot of magicians train for years to master it for their tricks. A message for those reading, its all fun and good to learn but please refrain from using this trick to actually steal from people. Edit: y’all really mad about people sharing their opinions and experiences huh? As for those speaking about how its ‘easy to see the steal because the camera is pointing at it and the title’, it was like 4 in the morning and I have 3 or so collective brain cells when scrolling through youtube shorts. I don’t gotta pay attention to the title to enjoy the video so i don’t read it. And the steal really wasnt hard to catch, i caught it on the first time watching the video, Especially when you grew up in a place where pickpocketing was normal like I did, you learn to pay attention to your belongings if not it’s at risk of being stolen, as for those talking about how pick pocketing is easy, yeah, normal pick pocketing is pretty easy as long as you have a quick hang and can be learnt by literally anyone, however many magicians train themselves in a form of pick pocketing which is not only visually appealing to the viewers but also sneaky enough to ‘steal’ the item without the participant or the viewers noticing. And even then, pick pocketing can take years to master to the point where you don’t get caught when targeting those who aren’t stupid and are aware pick pocketer’s exist and target those they see as easy targets and don’t take precautions to make sure their items and valuables are safe.
You only saw the steal because there's a camera looking at it. But the trick is not for the viewers. Its for the mark (the person involved in the trick). If you were the kid...you very likely would not have noticed your watch being removed. If this were a street trick...you may just lost you watch lol. Everything the guy does has a purpose. There is a reason he does similar movements to the kids other hand first. It's so that when he does it to the watch hand the kid doesn't have suspicion, he assumes hes doing the same thing as he did to non watch hand. He let's his guard down and practically allowes the guy to remove his watch. Even when the guy shakes the kids wrist...there's a purpose for that too. It distracts the mark from any abnormal feeling around the wrist. As he shakes them...his fingers are actually working to loosen the watch band clasp. When the guy says "if I take this and put it in my pocket...."....that's when he pocketed the watch....that's when you would have lost your watch if this was a street trick. I don't do this stuff myself...but I've watched many MANY videos of pick pockets videos, slight of hand trick videos, and magic explained type videos...just so I can see if I can catch the trick. For this one. I didn't catch it...but when he said I'll give you your watch back...I went back and watched it again knowing exactly when he took his watch lol.
Lmao, u saw the steal for 2 reasons: 1. The caption is about stealing the watch 2. Camera angle 100% sure this guy can steal your watch without you knowing it
He didn't notice his watch was being taken because the magician/pickpocket used some very old desensitizing techniques. First there's a strange phenomenon that links our limbs and other body parts. We are generally symmetrical and our brains see our bodies as such. Our brains take shortcuts in processing information. The magician took advantage of this by slapping the boy's right wrist repeatedly. This can have the effect on the left limb as well. The pretouching of his left arm also serves to desensitize that arm. Finally and most importantly he utilizes strong misdirection, creating a sense of urgency about the balls in this or that hand. These are simple techniques that anyone can master in a short time.
@@michaellinner7772 Honestly, your paragraph was very interesting and I learned new words from your comment it’s not a waste, it’s more better than a waste! I’m also concerned about that dude who appears to be “stalking” your comments, does he respond to all your comments negatively? It’s really worrying me that some stranger online is doing stuff that no one asked for him to do on your comments.
One important gem that he done - was when he was demonstrating the red balls in his right hand... he managed to present a subconscious feel by pretending to remove the watch that wasn’t even there but just using a rub and pull action - this then allowed it more easier to do the same thing on the left hand when removing the actual watch, as his subconscious already was used to the same action, which told his body that it’s fine and this is apart of the show. *this is not financial advise lol

It’s really weird but that’s how our brain is. The person even did another experiment where he pickpocketed a guy and stole his watch, wallet, and tie (around his neck) without him noticing. But that’s another experiment.

Kid felt the watch leave his arm
I love his innocent shy smile after he realizes his watch is gone.
So The key is to overwhelm the person with a million different thoughts while loosening the watch so the person just has an anxiety attack inside while you’re doing whatever you want lmao
You’re not wrong lol sensory overload to hyper focusing on something. I would like to see sleight of hand by just bumping into someone
He also kept pressure on the watch so he couldn't feel it come off.
Anxiety attack?? That’s a bit much,

I didn’t think much of this video until I realized that was my school. GO DAVIS MIDDLE!!!
It's even crazier when you observe him make the move.
Well there goes my weekend plan:(
Lol true it's not that great
I've been doing it for months :
Lmao, u saw the steal for 2 reasons:
1. The caption is about stealing the watch
2. Camera angle
100% sure this guy can steal your watch without you knowing it
He didn't notice his watch was being taken because the magician/pickpocket used some very old desensitizing techniques.
These are simple techniques that anyone can master in a short time.
the kid noticed it tho so everything u typed is a waste

ua-cam.com/users/shortsDpk5l9YgLf8?feature=share
He just gave him an example of life. While you are distracted by one thing, something else is going on and when it's over it is too late to fix it.
He’s distracting him by moving his hand back and forth to cover his movements
One important gem that he done - was when he was demonstrating the red balls in his right hand... he managed to present a subconscious feel by pretending to remove the watch that wasn’t even there but just using a rub and pull action - this then allowed it more easier to do the same thing on the left hand when removing the actual watch, as his subconscious already was used to the same action, which told his body that it’s fine and this is apart of the show. *this is not financial advise lol
Basically he touched him up and stole his watch...
catch a case.
