Had mine for several months, use it everyday 6+ hours apex legends gaming and literally no issues

He’s not having drift issues his module is done but battle beavers modules cheap and increase the tension it’s a super upgrade for the astro

You got lucky. I've been through so many modules it's not even funny.
I have had the same issues and I bought it 2 weeks ago. I’ve been struggling a lot with the controller despite its very useful and like you said, it has a lot of great features. I’m gonna change it and see if it works, but everything that has happened to you, it happened to me as well, even the software. The only thing that I deleted the software one time and download it again and it worked.
Evil controllers make replacement modules also. They are on Amazon and they have different thumbstick tensions available.
I love this controller and can't use anything else now but the modules are definitely flawed. I've been through roughly 20 modules since August 2019. Unfixable stick drift issues or the module making the back paddle work on and off which doesn't work in a game when you need to sprint consistently like COD. Astro told me they're aware of the module issue and are working on a permanent fix and or redesigned modules hopefully
I've had my c40 for about 6 months now as well and still live it! So far only the left joystick started to drift. Contacted astro and they sent me a new one quickly been using that one for about 3 months. I play around 2 to 5 hours a day and all the buttons still work fine but I'm not hard on controllers. I still have my original ps4 controller (that works fine) that came with my console when ps4 was released.

They're honestly perfect lol I replaced my stock sticks with BBs and they don't twitch at all anymore
I gotten the scuf vantage and my paddles kept on breaking got then replace 3 or 4 times view mouths ago my right trigger broke off. My controller lasted about 8 mouths
I have the Astro C40 & have it for a year now. Yes I have had stick drift issues however Astro took really good care of me & sent me out new sticks free of charge. You are absolutely correct about being an extreme gamer/streamer & playing for 8, 10, 12+ hrs a day is very hard on everything. I feel being a streamer that the equipment is not built for/with us in mind playing for that long on a constant regular basis. But overall I friggen love my Astro C40 controller with the upgraded battlebeaver extreme sticks!!!!! Thank you for the Video......... Sxywhitechoclte

Quick question I have gone threw about 3 elite controllers I don’t know why I just have, the only reason I kept buying it was for the paddles they where so fast and so light to touch, are the Astro c40 paddles stiff or are they light to the touch to the Astro c40? Or is there another controller that you suggest??
I had SO MANY problems at launch with the modules. Had almost 10 new ones sent to me before they stopped sending them even tho wasn’t able to Sprint in cod anymore

Battle beaver sticks are perfect now. I have zero drift or twitching of my analog sticks anymore after buying battlebeavers
Ret Ro the drift you can get rid of connect the controller to the computer and if there’s red on the senitive bar there’s drift but just reset the thump sticks by holding the mapping button down until rumble and do it again
Soooo..... great vid. I hate that the controller is fused together and needs to be broke apart to mess with the inner workings. That is probably the only way to fix that square button. I love the modular design and program-ability. I hate that the software is not working on your system (that would be a conflicting program -- most likely oddball drivers due to how much hardware you have on your computer as opposed to wife's laptop -- would also suggest clean Virtual Machine OS for that stuff, so no conflicts). All in all, it looks like a really good controller for the serious gamer. Great review. 3 thumbs up!! (don't ask where I got the other thumb)

So I’ve bought many different thumb sticks but those weren’t exactly the problem. It’s where my screws go. I would screw it in too tight to where it doesn’t hold the thumb stick in place.

Yeah i had the L3 problem but i had purchased a replacement kit from bbc for 20, but damn shit like that is annoying. Also the software issue you got i got something similar. Only for me it works for about 1 minute then hard crashes. Gotta love it👌

Yep, yep and yep.. I have probably about 40 hours on mine and both Astro stick modules are gone, completely.. And the Battle Beavers I got aren't great either. I agree though, I really like it, don't see myself going back to a DS4. Just gonna order more Battle Beaver sticks I guess.. Great review!

Casual pros makes sense. I currently use the Razer riju TE and my left stick is starting to shit out and I play about 9 hours a week.
I had the same timelines as you and I got battle beavers also. My battle beavers lasted 3 months but I don’t play 7 hours a day every day

been using the strike pack for about 9/10 months, 6 of them months i was playing maybe 6/7 hours a day, 4 months i’ve only been playing about 4 hours a day, i have had not one problem whatsoever, i never use the mods, i just use it for the paddles, £40 and probably lasted longer than most peoples scuffs
Ive had the strike pack for 2+ years. No problems. If your pad breaks you just buy a new pad and transfer the strike pack onto the new pad

Got mine today hands down best controller I have owned, miles better then the razer raiju ultimate that's for sure.
I ran a Scuf Prestige, the paddles snapped 3 times im 1 month. I now run an Aim controller, it was a much better priced controller and ive not experienced any issues with it.

Only thing holding me back from buying this right now is the fact that the ps5 comes out this year. My strike pack attachment on my controller finally died out after 2 years and so did my controller.

Tyler Castello I went ahead and picked up the vantage. I really hope it works with the ps5. If it doesn’t I’m hoping the cronusmax will allow me to use it on the ps5.

I have been waiting on this video to drop because watching you stream over the last 6 months it was noticeable when you were having issues with the controller. I even tried reaching out to Astro for them to help you with no response. Due to that alone I went ahead and purchased the Battle Beaver with the digital triggers. I liked that I could send them my own remote to modify, it does take a long time unfortunately to get it back and I am still waiting 6-8 weeks. I will let you know how it goes once I get it, great video as always brother!!!!

Had this remote for about 5 months and my stick messed up probably 2 months ago and ive literally had to wrestle my left stick just to sprint in cod every time. Everything else works amazing tho
same but mine went out in 2-3 weeks every single time

I mean the joysticks are issues on every single controller you can buy rn. It’s pretty much un avoidable. So being able to replace them without buying a whole new controller is a +. The software not working on some computer is a problem tho. And the buttons are you able to take them out? I know on the standard ps4 controller you can replace the gasket and everything.
It's a massive plus! Especially when the controller is so nice to hold. Astro will also replace the modules for free 😉 at least for the first time.
Does the dpad work on pc?
FIX FOR SOFTWARE: My Corsair keyboard was interfering with the software, simply unplug keyboard usb and it works perfect, I have heard many people with the same issue and they have tried the same thing and it’s fixed the problem.
Could also be your mouse so if your keyboard doesn’t work just unplug everything while you setup control.
You may need too use a older mouse if it is the mouse that’s causing the problem.

I’m having issues with my vantage 2
When I plug it in wired it works fine no headset. Then I plug in the headset I can here everything perfect but nobody can hear me😢. Then. I unplug and plug back the headset and I can hear and be heard but the controller is frozen in game only button that works is the home button once I’m on the dash board I everything works fine but I go back to my game and it’s still frozen I have to unplug and plug everything until it fixes itself sometimes the reset button on the vantage works
I play wired with all my controllers that shouldn’t be an issue. Atleast id like to think
Skreph yea when I first started using it I had issues so I I started playing with it in zombies mode to get used to the design and now I can play multiplayer it just takes time to get used to since the stick layout is like Xbox
I recommend a battle beavers ds4 with smart triggers and add the PlayStation rear button attachment for a quick affordable controller with best comfort

@@rahliE777 you need to try more controllers then because the scuff rips everybody off. I bet your controller shit out on you after 2 months. Mine did. They are 100 percent cheap.. Very light not durable plastic... Very cheaply made..
@@HanJukes actually it’s been going for 6 months now snd I use the hell out of it.. I’ve had to change out the thumbsticks twice, I do have digitial triggers and they slightly popped out once but I just popped them back in place.. You should’ve contacted customer support over yours cuz I know a lot of ppl that use Scuf’s and they haven’t had terrible issues either.. I do also have a Battlebeaver that I ordered and had to send straight back as it had a bunch of internal issues.. Should be coming back to me soon

Had mine for about 8 months now had two swap it out once before for a new one *warranty* only because of analog drift and the sticks were out of stock had no other problems. Also i love this controller compared to scuf feels cheap and break to easy Id probably be going to battle beaver next. Great review btw keep it up ☝

My evaluation on this control is 3 out of 10, because it is expensive and there is a defect in it. From the first month, the right or left lime starts to appear, and if the defect appears, you must exchange another amount to buy a new lime, even if you ask Astro to replace it, they will not be convinced that the lime is destroyed with They know it is a bad industry
just bought refurbished version a couple days ago and now im scared if i spent money on a broken controller basically

Not gonna cap I bought the elite in the end just cause that’s a lot of money for a controller already and $250 is almost enough to get a series s or an oculus

Not sure about that, but I put in a request for stick replacements on June 16th, was approved, they are still processing the order. Nothing has been sent yet and communications with the company are radio silence unless you contact them. Half the time they can't find your order/ticket on their end. I get it times are tough right now, but I've been gaming on my new PC for 3 weeks now I ordered the parts like a week after contacting Astro. The PSU for my new PC shipped from China in 2 weeks. I'm at 2 months waiting on replacement parts for a defective $200 controller. You may say well Astro is a small company. No, they are owned by Logitech. Either customer support is poor usually or their infrastructure in the company is imploding.
